1. Twitch app on Vidaa OS (Hisense)

   Hello Twitch !

   It would be great if Vidaa OS users (owners of a Hisense TV in this case) could benefit from the Twitch application on their television. Unfortunately the app was never released in Vidaa OS, and this is annoying for those who love watching streams on their couch.

2. tVOS 17.0 Twitch App video goes black after 5 minutes of watching

   Re posting this to the TV App bugs.

   Multiple users having issues with the app during any sort of playback.

   The Twitch Apple TV app does not work on the new tvOS 17.0 OS . When watching a VOD or live stream, the video will suddenly go all black but the sound will continue playing.

   This issue has been reported multiple times not only here but also as feedback, and nothing has been done, and there have been no acknowledgements from the team.

3. Appletv

   The new update - March 3 2023 - has so many downgrades! There are some issues that I was hoping to be addressed, but instead we got more problems.

   1) Not being able not see more than the top 25 Live Followed Channels is a big problem. There are a lot of new and growing streamers I follow, support and moderate that are getting zero visibility with this new update.

   2) Not being able to chat from the tv, and instead being sent to a QR code that connects to the mobile app stops the ability of people participating directly from their tv. I multiscreen watch lots of streamers at the same time, and this stops me from contributing to the one on the tv now, which is unfair.

   3) The chat has become harder to read. The font is smaller and not as legible. ALSO, most chatters names now show up as just white, which makes following the chat much harder than it was in the past.

   4) When someone donates bits, it shows up half the time as the emote and half the time as the lettered bit emote name (no emote image), which is silly.

   5) We still can’t follow a raid, which was taken away during the last update, which is counterproductive to growing twitch and other channels. I figured that would be changed in the update, but it’s still gone.

   6) The lack of animated emotes in the chat bar should have been addressed after all this time as well, but the chat visibility and functionality on the appletv app has slipped even farther behind as opposed to ahead to reflect the growth twitch has been making.

   I’m sure there are other glitches I just haven’t come upon yet, but I’m sure I’m not alone with these complaints and suggestions.

4. Bug: Live Followed Channels Does Not Show All Live Followed Channels

   Expected Behavior:

   Home > Live Followed Channels should include....uhhh, all of the channels that I follow that are live.

   Actual Behavior:

   Home > Live Followed Channels shows me a random set of the channels that I follow that are live. What channels are shown is almost inversely proportional to how often I watch said channels. The count of the channels shown in this section is also random. Sometimes 7, sometimes 4, just all over the place.

   In order to actually see "Live followed channels", I have to navigate to "Following" > "Live Followed Channels". Not only is this an extra step (that can be super laggy if the internet is being slow, since you're forcibly preloading every g*dd*mn stream I focus the selector on in the background), but makes no sense. As a section header, "Live Followed Channels" is unequivocal in what it describes. If there is some qualifer being placed on this header when on the Home tab, the Home tab should either call that out with a different header title, or the Home tab needs to be renamed to something more indicative that the feed is being built by some terrible algorithm or whatever is happening.

   I am being charitable by assuming this is unintended behavior. If it is not, I would kindly, but firmly suggest, you get out of my way in viewing content so I can actually watch streamers I pay for (and hence you for) or watching ads for content (which you also get paid for).

7. Bug - Oh bummer… an error occurred while playing this content

   Can log into the application on the TV, can see previews of what is happening on the stream, but when I go to watch it it gives me the “Bug - Oh bummer… an error occurred while playing this content” message. It just started happening today. I have not done any new updates, haven’t changed wifi, didn’t disconnect wifi at all when it started happening. I was watching a stream and just went into another one and this pops up no matter what I do.

   I have tried shutting off my tv and unplugging it for an extended period. I have disconnected from wifi and reconnected. I have cleared the cache from the app as well as run a diagnostics on the TV. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I checked permissions on my TV. I signed out and signed back into twitch. What else can I even do?

   Can log into the application on the TV, can see previews of what is happening on the stream, but when I go to watch it it gives me the “Bug - Oh bummer… an error occurred while playing this content” message. 11. Twitch app for Echo devices

    It was very popular in recent years and I would like to propose other people's idea again. In Echo devices (those with Alexa integrated), especially the Echo show category, they have had the peculiarity of having video streaming applications with them. For example Prime Video and Netflix, given that Twitch is "acquired" by Amazon, the Twitch application for Echo show devices would also be useful. Or at least make it possible to access via the site since Amazon silk (browser within Echo show devices) is not among the browsers supported by Twitch. I ask for an opinion on this as it has been requested for a long time

13. AppleTV App Video and Audio stutters and lags

    New App video buffers and audio lags on wifi. Sometimes it lags on ethernet, wired connection. I am using a Apple TV 4K (1st generation). I am on the current tvOS which is 17.5.1. Never had this problem until now.

15. Button to automatically remove UI / HUD

    Right now, on the Samsung TV app, the user interface stays on the screen forever. It does not go away. Additionally, there is not button to immediately remove the UI overlay from the screen, you have to wait the 3 seconds or so for the UI to go away. This is not how most apps work. There is an option, usually hitting "up" on your remote, to make the UI disappear immediately. If that option existed, I imagine I would not be stuck here staring at the UI overlayed on a dimmed stream. It doesn't matter if I turn the TV off and on again, I can't watch a stream because I cannot make the UI overlay go away. Please implement this incredibly basic feature.

16. 4:3 Aspect Ratio stream support

    This is not limited to just one app. It's the same across Android TV, Chromecast, Xbox, and Playstation.

    A year ago or so the app used to display streams that weren't 16:9 correctly. Then an update happened and all of the apps started to stretch 4:3 streams to fit. This makes a lot of the screen unviewable.

    Fortunately there is a work around, but it's annoying, opening chat on the right makes the stream display perfectly.

    Initially I reported this as a bug, and was directed here to have my bug fix voted on by popularity contest. I don't think that's how bugs caused by the developer should be handled, but I'm here to ask you fine folks to help us who watch streams playing older content to get a better experience.

18. Stream sometimes gets out of sync on Apple TV

    Pausing causes the video to fast forward back into place, waiting for this and resuming fixes (but it often reproduces throughout the stream)

20. Twitch app for Samsung Series 55 Smart TV.

    Hi, i'd really love if you could release the Twitch app for the Samsung Series 55 Smart TV.

    Ever since the old unofficial app got removed a few years back i've checked to see if the app was available for my Samsung Series 55 Smart TV every few months, but to this day it doesn't appear when i search for Twitch on the app store.
