  1. Hello Guys,
I am new on this developer board, however recently I had a small Idea that I would like to pitch to twitch and would be happy to assist in the implementation of such, as I do have the necessary contacts to do so.

I noticed that this platform has been branching out and trying to reach more people with their contents (see creative).
I think it would be a good idea to implement lectures on different subjects as stream aswell. Here we could cooperate with different universitys (which mostly record their lectures) and their professors to get lectures…

  2. I think that adding a "Non-partnered" and "Partnered" section to twitch would be a great way of promoting smaller streamers who are trying to find their audience, as well as making it as easy as possible for people to find their favorite partnered streamer in the partnered section.

This would be a very simple idea to implement and wouldn't have an effect on the way people stream. It would make it far easier for those streamers who are trying to find and audience find and audience and once thats been done, the partnered section is for them.

    The way I…

  3. Hi,

Currently the model for viewing games in the directory is difficult to traverse as a user. I scroll through looking for quirky titles or just genres that I'm only interested in i.e. FPS, Strategy or DeathMatch, Horror etc and instead of it being this lovely categorized experience I feel like i'm on an endless scrolling journey.

As the title suggests, my suggestion is having the option to break the model into the following:

    Genre > Game_Genre > Game > Stream

This way I can go from say FPS > Horror > SpookyFps3 > MrHorrorTV

    Plus an additional nice option…

  4. I like to spend time just browsing for small streams of random games. The "Browse" page tells me the number of viewers for a specific game, but I'd love to be able to quickly see how many different live streams there are. This tells me how much variety I'll have available if I decide to browse that game.

As an example, if it's the middle of the night and one game has 3 live streams and another has 8, I am probably going to prefer to start browsing in the game that has 8 live streams. I'm more likely to…

  5. Titles like the Super Smash Bros. games, Street Fighter games, and WWE/WWF wrestling games often attract the same viewers, regardless of which specific game in their series is being played. It would be convenient for viewers and helpful to streamers to provide a page that groups these games together. These could be unique grouping pages similar to broadcaster teams, which would allow regular game categories to continue unchanged. Ideally, these categories should also appear in the game directory to make them more visible to potential viewers.

  6. Would love to have a Fitness catagory on Twitch. Some of the people I watch on here live in foreign countries and it is amazing to see all the sights as they are walking around playing Ingress or Pokemon Go. Would be nice to allow them to just walk around and talk about their countries without having to be playing a game while doing so.

  7. Twitch should allow your streamers to set what languages they speak within their channel. So if i speak russian and english i would set that as my channel languages and then viewers should be able to search specific streamers with those languages. with games like counter strike and league of legends i want to be able to search for streamers that just speak english or speak other languages rather than having to search through 1000 channels for a streamer that speaks your specific language. on counterstrike you can search by map but i would like if i could also search…

  8. Providing 'personal blacklists' would give users the ability to hide content they're sick of seeing and enable for a higher quality browsing of Twitch. This would give users the option to hide content or channels that are purposefully clickbait or channels that they don't want to see reappearing when browsing for a stream. Channels that constantly use all caps in their titles are annoying and we should have the ability to blacklist them for our accounts. Same goes for many of the streamers who have 66% of the screen covered by their face or 'other body parts' and only 33%…

  9. Implement a filter that would be present no matter what section of the site you are on allowing you to filter based on a primary language.

    1) Force a streamer to select a single primary language
    2) Allow streamer to select multiple secondary languages
    3) Implement a filter that would be at the top of any search/game/category listing...

The filter should have two features.
    - Allow user to filter based on primary language ONLY
    - Allow user to sub-filter based on secondary languages optionally

    This accomplishes two goals.

    1) Allow the viewer to filter down to streamers that for the…

  10. Add little flags for the country of the the language the channel is in. Too many times have I entered a channel that looks entertaining and come to find out it's in a language that I don't understand. This would help a lot! :-)

  11. There is a gaming section for Apple iOS, why not Android iOS?

I have a Nvidia tablet that I would like to stream from, but most games don't have a gaming section.

It would be a lot easier to have a place where I could just stream any Android game and stay in one channel.

I'm using the "Games+demos" section for now, but I would like to use and official "Android Gaming" or something like that.

    Thanks.

  12. Many people followed more 1000 channels in various languages and many different kind of streams. Would be very helpful if Twitch could separate or add some filters to "Language" and "Games" in the FOLLOWING section, because to non-followed streams there is filters already. Also, to make it more 'clean' to see and good to use, a "disable" option should come together as well. :)

  14. Search options like Google, Exact keyword, contains etc.

Also an idea is filters, like platform, time zone, game, country etc.

  15. Implement a new search system with predefined and/or user defined tags like #lol #csgo #kappa #girlgamer #familyfriendly #twitch etc. It would be nice for a channel to have a handful of tags to identify itself.

You even ask for the language in the dashboard when changing title.

  18. It seems a good idea to connect viewers to streamers from their own country. cultural dependencies can be capitalized on, right twitch?

  19. Add a filter to sort by competitive, casual, variety, speed-runner streamers. Viewers can have an easier time finding what they want and branch out to other similar channels. Streamers can set their own category via the settings menu.

  20. Twitch should merge languages that have specific countries as a language filter like Español (Mexico) & Portugues (Brasil). In case of Español, there is no need to segregate them since we understand other Spanish countries perfectly fine, including Mexican Spanish. We are a small community (compared to English). There is no need to make it smaller.
