MAKEUP category. Beauty and Fashion. The perfect place for makeup gurus and noobies. Easier to find rather than IRL. Beauty and style tips, tricks, mental health, and tutorials. I got this idea while talking to my girlfriend just now as she was getting ready for work, trying to start a makeup/fashion page for us and thought this would be a great place to help start.

variety stream game option I consider myself a variety streamer, but hardcore, I could change games every hour, and every single time I do I have to update my dashboard. Doing so actually makes it more difficult for people to find me. We need a 'Variety' option in the games section so that people know they can come watch me if they just want entertainment in a variety of games.

Favourite streams In the "Following" section where i browse the streams I follow to see who's streaming, I'd like to have a top section of streams I have favourited and below that show the rest of the streams I follow.
As of now it is only sorted by most to least concurrent viewers, but my favorite stream may not be the most popular one that I follow.
Not a big deal, just a QoL improvement.13 votes -
Story Time Category? People of all ages like listening to others tell stories, whether they're true stories or works of fiction. I think it'd be awesome if Twitch had storytellers on its platform 24/7 so people of all ages could tune in and listen. Whether it's for bedtime stories, relaxation, etc. I think it'd be really cool. I know it's not very realistic since most people wouldn't spend their time telling stories on Twitch, but it's food for thought.

Have a speed running category like the IRL section so viewers can find runners easier Its hard to find runners or for the partners to get people into their streams. If there was one category for speed running people could hop around different runs without having to search through 10 games.

Add a Separate Game Title for GTA V RP The roleplay community in GTA V on Twitch is taking off, no one can deny that. GTA V was at the absolute top of the game list last night, mostly from RPers.
The problem is that the RP is a completely different experience from vanilla GTA. It would be awesome to see a unique game title for roleplaying in GTA V. Currently many users stumble into a roleplay stream expecting to see heavy PVP and shenanigans due to the bare "GTA V" title. A definitive title for GTA V RP would likely cut that back quite a bit.

in Beta the live directory of channels you follow doesn't show all live channels Checked it with the normal one.
Live Channel page of watched channels only shows 19 channels currently live while 27 should be registered for me

Feature small, quality streamers On the frontpage, feature 1 small, quality streamer, next to the top streamers. Newcomers and hidden gems could be featured there to give them some more exposure. Obviously it has to be a quality stream so they could/should be picked by the twitch staff.

Opt out of automatically viewing a new stream There are times when I don't want to load in to a new stream after the one I was watching is over.
Some examples are when I am alt-tabbed and playing a game.
For me personally, while playing a game I will always experience a spike in bandwidth usage while the new hosted stream loads in.
Not all streams will use the same bitrate either, which is a concern, however I've not had issues with that problem so far.Another example is when I am away from the computer, viewing twitch as it were actual TV.
Then inevitably having my…

Preserve Pause & Volume/Mute Settings When Hosting If you have a stream paused or muted and a new channel is hosted, existing pause & mute settings are ignored after the host. If you leave a page up during the day or evening this can cause sound to suddenly start blasting from your speakers without warning. Please don't AutoPlay hosted channels if the open Twitch page has video paused, and please preserve mute settings.
Better yet, add an option in our user settings to auto-pause/mute hosted channels so viewers can manually opt-in to watching a hosted channel.

Divide portuguese languages according to country It's very hard to find streamers from Portugal in the middle of so many Brazilian streamers (Brazil has almost 20 times the population of Portugal), dividing it by Portuguese (BR) or Portuguese (PT) would make things a lot easier. This is the standard in programs, subtitles and games, since we use a lot of different terms. I think both sides of the language would welcome this change.

Create a "New Partners" section Add a section in the "Games" or "Teams" list that includes new partnered streamers from the past day/week/month and advertise new partners more openly to the public.

Make it possible to bookmark a live broadcast to watch via VOD later I follow a lot of people, and sometimes they're all streaming great stuff at the same time and I have to pick one. But I often see things I'd like to watch later or the next day, and it's hard to find it in Past Broadcasts (or I forget about it until it's too late).
It'd be nice to have a "bookmark this stream" button on the Following page when someone's streaming something you want to check out later. Then you could easily keep track of stuff you didn't have a chance to watch when it was live.

Allow an option to block streamers channels So they don't show up when you are looking under games for streams to watch.
It would be great if you ignored a user, their channel didn't show up when you were looking for streams to watch1,041 votes -
add a "new streamer page" So That new streamers can get the publicity they deserve! when i was a small streamer i found it hard to get followers. i had a good quality stream and a couple of friends who watched my stream. and i think that new streamers are pretty much abandoned, they should get the chance to get bigger instead of waiting months for just a couple of viewers to pop buy

Roleplaying Games Add "Roleplaying Games" as a blanket game that can be streamed to cover all the non-D&D games or ones played that are not using Roll 20. "Board Games" and "Card Games" is available. Tabletop RPG's should be among them!

Nested Subcommunities inside community categories Communities just released today, and suffers from the same problem that game categories already had: similar categories competing against each other instead of uniting as one. Let people create categories inside other categories so that if you're looking for Super Mario Maker or any other Mario game (for example), you aren't struggling to find two categories with lower viewer counts due to intra-franchise competition.
Also as an aside, please find a way to keep the "rulemakers" of said communities in check. It's ripe for abuse and bad eggs can kill a community easily.

Bringing lectures to twitch Hello Guys,
I am new on this developer board, however recently I had a small Idea that I would like to pitch to twitch and would be happy to assist in the implementation of such, as I do have the necessary contacts to do so.I noticed that this platform has been branching out and trying to reach more people with their contents (see creative).
I think it would be a good idea to implement lectures on different subjects as stream aswell. Here we could cooperate with different universitys (which mostly record their lectures) and their professors to get lectures…7 votes -
To add "Partnered" and "Non-Partnered" I think that adding a "Non-partnered" and "Partnered" section to twitch would be a great way of promoting smaller streamers who are trying to find their audience, as well as making it as easy as possible for people to find their favorite partnered streamer in the partnered section.
This would be a very simple idea to implement and wouldn't have an effect on the way people stream. It would make it far easier for those streamers who are trying to find and audience find and audience and once thats been done, the partnered section is for them.
The way I…
