1. Sort Your Follwed Channels

Please allow the ability to sort through the currently live channels on your follow list by what games they are playing to make it easier to find what you are currently looking for. another thing that could also be done is allow people to make separate lists and add anyone they follow to those lists to help organize things a bit more for them.

2. Games instead of category

Twitch just like google is a recognized universal language for games and pushing into other fields outside gaming; but primarly gaming. In the early stages of twitch 'games' was used (this isn't that important) but later moved onto using category. It is twitchs' underlining code that games should in place of category, just like how google is not godgle, or goggle, or guugle. Please revsrse the process as this is important in twitchs' eco-system, thank you.

3. Collapsible pinned channel, red dot live notification

Being able to collapse the pinned channels section, but add a red dot next to the list if someone you have pinned is live, will save some space and still allow us to know when our pinned channels are active.

4. Enable No-Viewer Count Mode and Desired Content Selections

There are many good posts in this section that try to address the issues with highlighting relevant content for viewers and support discovery of channels where viewers will be engaged in a way that leads them to support the content creator and platform. The problem is that Twitch has become increasingly solely depended on a cornerstone of viewer count which provides little to no value and detracts from the actual value and outcomes of engagement on the platform.

Channels are often avoided or attended because the primary metric is focused on viewer count. This is basic psychology at work and here are some examples that elaborate on this concept the premise for this post is presented.

   <10
Channels with 1 to 3 viewers appear to have ‘no attendance’ which is psychologically off-putting regardless of the fact that is not representative of the professionalism, skill or quality of the streamer and their content. This psychological discrimination can honestly continue to be true with up to not more than 10 viewers again because of the primacy of viewer count.

   10 to 50 or 100
Channels with 10-50 viewers can begin to look attractive for people looking for personal engagement and belonging with community. This could have been truer with channels of lower viewer counts that were simply missed opportunities but in practice this is seen on the platform. Channels with 50-100 viewers can additionally attract people who want to be able to consume content but not necessarily be personally actively engaged with the content. Again, this could have been truer with channels of lower viewer counts but it is not possible to determine given the primacy of viewer count on the platform.

   100+
When viewer count gets above 100 it becomes increasingly unlikely that viewers will get any personal response or interaction with the streamer. Often channels will turn on Follower-Only or Subscriber-Only chat in order to make communication with chat at all manageable and as viewer count increases or features like Slow-Chat or Emote-Only. Often these can be channels that do not actually interact with chat but allow viewers to “talk among yourselves” about the content and only drawing from specifically tagged chats with a question for instance.

[There may be even more relevant detail and analysis related to this and I welcome those with the knowledge and appropriate background to increase the value and relevance of this information by contributing to the comments.]

   Recommendation: No Viewer Count Mode
This feedback is to recommend the implementation of a trial feature or mode that enables viewers to browse Twitch that completely hides the count of current viewers. This could be piloted once a minimum viable product has been developed and I feel confident would be met with a mostly positive reception. Recalling the above examples, the obvious trends become a sub-set of personality and mood that viewers approach the platform with and what they are seeking out of the entertainment and content.

Consider the increased value then to being able to make permanent or temporary selections based on your desired outcome as a viewer from the platform. These could include I would like to find a community that has certain characteristics or features certain content. Channels that feature people who look like me, channels featuring content I am interested in or channels that feature a streamer with certain characteristics and a variety of entertainment.

   Recommendation: Desired Content Selection
The shortcomings with the current tag system are apparent in several other posts and need to be addressed, including the necessity of the platform for these to be hierarchical and the problem with misuse based on the elective nature of tags by the streamer. The following recommendation is related to the above recommendation for No Viewer Count Mode to assist with the formation of a system that benefits the viewers of the platform.

Implement a system for streamer selection as well as exit-interviews or even in-chat polls or follow-up emails for ratings that can help inform a measure for the channel. The ratings questions must be designed in a way that does not allow a tendency toward negative-to-positive reviews but assesses the channel on a spectrum of relevant characteristics. Initially these questions would be a do you agree since they must begin electively by the channel owner.

Do you agree with the following statements about CHANNEL?
[Channel-elected characteristics to validate could be placed here]
I feel a sense of community and belonging
I feel a sense of professionalism and quality

What would you say best describes CHANNEL on 3/5 occasions?
   Chilled ------ Energetic
Focuses on Chat ----- Focuses on Content
   Variety ---------- “Game” Dedicated
   Silly/Funny ------- Serious/Intellectual
   Family Friendly ----- Mature Audience

[There may be even more relevant detail and analysis related to this and I welcome those with the knowledge and appropriate background to increase the value and relevance of this information by contributing to the comments.]

These characteristics would form the basis of selections by viewers who can select what they are looking for when they come to the platform for their entertainment.
   Such as the following.
[ ] Channels that feature giveaways and sponsored products
[ ] Professional broadcasts (more produced setting)
   [ ] Developer/Brand focused
   [ ] Game/Content focused
   [ ] Variety content
   [ ] Community and belonging
   [ ] Chat engagement
[ ] Chat games and points redemptions
[ ] Personal broadcasts (less produced setting)

What do you think? Could a viewer-count-less mode work for Twitch? What kinds of selections should be included? How could these systems be best implemented?

Thank you for seriously considering feedback from the community and seeking to continually improve the platform for both streamers and viewers.

6. Do not randomize offline followed streamers

I noticed this morning that my "followed streamers" who are offline now show in random orders, including some who haven't streamed in months, and worse, they're shuffled on-screen every few minutes (but still offline).

This is horribly distracting. Please go back to the most-recently-streamed order.

7. Using tags to avoid certain channels

I want to be able to use the "tags" system in the search bar to avoid certain streams. For example: I live in Spain but im not native of this country and i really hate having Spanish streams flood my main page the moment i open up twitch. Just give me the option to use tags to avoid certain streams. #spanish, #cosplay, #depression, etc. These are for the ones i want to avoid, and the longer i stay on twitch the more "#" i will ban

9. Twitch Integration Tag

Allow users to tag their stream as having turned on Twitch integration for the game they are playing.

Twitch integrations, either added by the developer or through mods, can be a fun way for viewers to interact with the streamer and the game that they are playing. At the moment there is no way for viewers to find streamers who have integrations turned on.

Even if you search for a specific game which has the potential to integrate with Twitch, there is no guarantee that the streamer has the feature turned on.

This tag would allow streamers to indicate that their audience can influence the game being played through an integration.

11. let users link social media sites like twitter (or addressbook) to our twitch accounts to find people we already know

I would love recommend channels to included lists of accounts I followed on twitter (as example) to show up and be promoted on the site and also have people be able to find my twitch account linked via twitter.

Not only would I like this, I would also love to be able to incorporate my address book as well, find people I already know on twitch via my contacts.

How do I remove the LGBTQ+ filter from my suggested channel tags?
I really don't care, don't support, and don't want to see any LGBTQ+ tags in my Twitch space. I'm straight and such tags make me unsafe and anxious. I wish don't see any channels and any mentions of this community in my Twitch account - how could I do it?

For those who like to watch & Chat within multiple streams (often via team up situations or watching fave streamers online at the same time) instead of forcing people use sites like multistream/multitwitch, where the embedded streams get interrupted by a notice telling people to watch the stream on the original site, why not build a page where viewers can do just that, watch several of their favorite channels (2-4 or more) side by side where every view will be counted, channel points will be earned, ability to chat in any is accessible, and best of all, no interruption (with the exception of the normal ads)

15. Sidebar should have ability to show > 25 live streams

Currently only the 25 most viewed streams you follow appear in the sidebar with no way to display more once that cap is reached.

Desktop has a "show more" button. It would be best if both desktop and mobile just showed all of the live channels you follow right off the bat, but at least feature parity with desktop's "show more" button would be nice. I follow a lot of streams and I always like to check what low viewership streamers are live first. As-is the only way to do that is to go to the following tab and scroll scroll scroll, which is cumbersome. I understand that only power users probably hit this case but ultimately it does hurt small streamers to make it tougher for power users to see when they're live.

16. 100% Orange Juice twitch category

The category for the game 100% Orange Juice on twitch does not display any live channels. Searching up the game name in the search bar can bring up channels, but the category itself displays no channels even when it says there are viewers in it. Videos and clips can still be viewed, and following the category does not change anything. Tested on mobile, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

Thank you so much for reaching out about these categories. I just wanted to make sure that you were aware that we actually have an animal category now and co-working, roleplay, fishing, interviews, and 3d printer tags on Twitch. 18. Unable to pick arcade games when streaming from mobile

The streaming functionality in the app was designed for IRL streamers in mind with the added ability to broadcast games from the device itself.
However, this has a limitation where, if a user was at a physical venue playing arcade games that have been added to IGDB, they would be unable to pick them as the app limits the creator to use IRL based tags.

I believe it would be beneficial to creators to be able to search the complete game list from within the app in another menu. Currently creators that stream from public arcade venues are confused in regards to what they should stream their game under, while also at a detriment as it doesn't promote the game they are playing in the twitch discovery system
