Blocked terms When writing a blocked term, the user gets this message:
"Your message wasn't posted due to conflicts with the channel's moderation settings."When writing a long message, the user wouldn't be able to know which one of the words is blocked on the channel. And taking time to find out which word is blocked, and reformulating would be too complex.
The error message should print out the banned word(s) if the user entered one or more banned words, such as:
"Your message wasn't posted due to your usage of the following blocked term(s): ....."9 votes -

Chat replay ignore functionality Chat replay is certainly better now than at launch, but there has to be a way to ignore users. Clicking a name and pressing the ignore button does nothing (it doesn't even add them to your global ignore list).
Also needs an option menu and popout capability, but those can wait.9 votes -
Indicator for Active Viewer It would mutually benefit Twitch, the streamer, and the viewer if there was an indicator for a viewer to see if they're being counted as a viewer. As it currently stands, all a streamer can do is remind people to chat and use redeems to maybe have a viewer count (but even then there's no way of knowing). I like to watch multiple streams at a time sometimes just audio in a background tab, but I don't know how often I'm being counted as a viewer. If I'm not counted as a viewer in a stream I'm trying to support,…

Edit Mod Icons The mod icons are very quick and easy, however a 600 second timeout can be very lengthy. I propose you allow mods to edit how many seconds a user would be timed out if they press that button. How it would work: near the area to turn on mod icons add a feature where the mod could input a number of seconds they want the timeout to be. This would apply to anyone they timeout. Ex: If a mod puts 60 seconds in that area, every time they press the time out button in that chat, a user would be…

Rework/redesign Chatter List with options of what to show/not show. With recent outcries against the innocuous "lurk bots" being seen in the chatter list I had the thought that it may be time to rework the list functionality a bit and provide some options to the broadcaster of what is shown in that list.
This would help the broadcaster (and others looking at the list) to see what they want to see, without unnecessary information that may not be helpful overall.
I suggest the following changes:
* Full rework of the list in functionality and use.
* Offer options in settings on the type of data that is displayed.

Give twitch chatters the option to 'upvote' a chat message. You often see people typing ^ to show their support for a message. Why not make this a real feature. You could upvote a message and make it stay visible for longer or something like that. Quality messages wouldn't get lost so quickly (I am thinking of very rapid chats here especially). I guess it should be a special mode, since for slower chat it would not make sense to alter the order of the messages, since some messages are answers to questions etc.

Make a universal /follow <user> command Since this hasn't been posted in almost a year (see https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/297558-general/suggestions/8362308-add-a-follow-and-unfollow-command) Twitch needs to implement a /follow user command so if someone gets a shout out in chat you can just do /follow user instead of clicking on their name and doing everything with the mouse when we're already at a keyboard chatting.

Let IRL Streamers Start Shared Chat from Mobile for Better Collabs IRL streamers need a simple way to start shared chat directly from mobile, without needing a desktop, remote access, or being forced into a voice/video call.
Right now, when two IRL streamers link up in person, we have to remote into our PC to start a shared chat — which is slow, clunky, and not viable while out and about. On top of that, the current shared experience requires a call via the app, which we don't want.
We just want to send an invite, the other streamer accepts, and that’s it — we can both put our phones back…

permanently unlock emote Permanently unlock emotes from streamers.
You regurarly turn in to multiple streams and want to use their emotes but can't afford paying for 10+ streamer subscriptions.
How about letting us unlock specific emotes for bits. You can unlock multiple emotes from the same streamer and multiple streamers but you pay bits for each single emote.Since it's bits twitch gets a cut and the streamer gets a cut.
The downside might be that subscriptions loose a little value as they make the stream AD-Free AND unlocks the emotes but i don't think it would be to bad.
Thanks for taking…

Show moderators accurately which chat modes are active When chat is put into emote-only mode it says so above the chat input bar for everyone whenever it gets enabled. Clicking it shows the info box that explains what it is.
For subscriber-only mode, this message is shown to people that aren't subscribed and in follower-only mode it is shown to people that are currently not following.Moderators bypass all of those restrictions but are only shown when emote-only chat is enabled in this way. It is easy to forget about chat being in follower-only mode after, for example, counteracting a bot raid with follower-only mode.
For moderators it…

How The Followage Is Tracked. The current way isn't perfect and could do with a revamp.
I believe this should be changed to the amount of time followed in total instead of showing the date the user followed.
This will solve the problems with users accidentally unfollowing their favourite channels and then having to completely restart their followage.
It could work a bit like the subs. Where it shows the amount of time you're actively subscribed. And when you stop subscribing it shows how long you've been previously subscribed for.
For Example It could say 'Following For (active follow time)' when the user is following…

User specific slow mode Specific user slow mode, Instead of turning on slow mode for the entire chat i would like to turn it on for individual users, i think this would make moderating specific users easier and more discrete without disrupting the flow of the entire chat.

Chant for raids Just like the chant feature except it works on the other side of a raid. Streamer/mod sets raid chant and viewers that did not copy/pasta the message can just chant it instead.

Customisable Chat Window as Overlay The stream viewing options on desktop include "fullscreen" (no chat displayed) and "theater mode" (chat occupies about 1/3rd of the screen, on the right). Given that the vast majority of streams are in widescreen format, dedicating a large vertical column to chat results in the gameplay "window" occupying less than 1/2 the screen, with huge "letterboxing".
It would be a huge improvement to allow the viewer's chat display to overlap onto the video feed, via a window that can resized, repositioned and whose background can be made transparent. It would serve as an "interactive fullscreen" mode, where viewers can be…7 votes -
Show streamer/mods passive and active mods present Having to open the user list to see how many mods are there—digitally if not mentally—all the time is way too much hassle.
Can’t we show channel staff (not regular users because of privacy) a number for the passive mods and active mods so people know whether to ask more to come by and keep things cordial?

Chat history Allow people to see their own chat history.
Wether it is someone who owns a channel, is a mod on a channel, or just a subscriber, it would be nice to come back to a channel a day or later and see what was said.
