Chant for raids
Just like the chant feature except it works on the other side of a raid. Streamer/mod sets raid chant and viewers that did not copy/pasta the message can just chant it instead.
Broadcasters have already added raid commands to their own bots to make the process easier - which indicates an appetite for improvement in this space.
Further, if Twitch takes control of the Raid experience they would be better able to improve or change upon it in the future, for example:
- Allow a Broadcaster (or their mods) being raided to slow or stop raid messages.
— Some Broadcasters don’t like (all/some) raid messages
— High-viewer count stream raids a very low-viewer count stream, overtaking their chat in the process (a twitch endorsed pseudo hate raid)
Chants should have always been a part of Raids. Now that Chants are leaving chat, they should move into the Raid feature.
Here’s how it would work:
The Broadcaster would set sub & non-sub raid messages in settings, in advance. The appropriate message for each user would then appear in the 2nd channel (the raid-e, if you would) when following a raid.
It would allow users to more easily participate in the raid, while making signing off easier for the Broadcaster.
Raid messages have now been ubiquitous for years. And yet, everyone still has to copy-paste.
