Reward Active Chat Participation with User Ranks Introduce an optional system that rewards positive and consistent chat participation with visible, cosmetic user ranks, similar to chat levels on YouTube livestreams.
Why:
Active chats are a core part of Twitch communities, but there is currently no built-in way to recognize long-term, constructive chat engagement—especially for non-subscribers. Visible chat ranks would encourage participation, strengthen the community.
How:
Users earn ranks based on meaningful chat activity over time.
Repetitive or spam messages do not count toward progress.
Progress is paused after timeouts or guideline violations.
Ranks are cosmetic only (e.g., small badge or label next to username).
Streamers can enable/disable…2 votes -

Watch Streak shown in Community Tab The users in the Community tab should give the option to classify users by watch streak (they could decide whether they want to share that information or not).
It would allow for example for gifters to choose regular viewers who aren't subbed, to gift to.2 votes -

Announcement Currently when a moderator performs the /announce [message] command, this message does not appear in the chat log for that user.
Whilst the announcement is normally a momentary message in stream, I believe it is worth keeping the messages sent in the users card so their logs remain up to date without missing context.

Shadowban A senior moderator must often balance individual freedom with the protection of the entire community. A shadowban is a sharp, but in certain cases necessary, tool.
Here are the key strategic and psychological justifications for why a moderator might resort to this measure:
1. Containment of Trolls and Attention-Seekers
Trolls thrive on community reaction ("Don't feed the troll").
The Problem: A direct ban often leads to the troll immediately creating a new account (ban evasion) and becoming even more aggressive.
The Solution: With a shadowban, the troll does not realize they are being ignored. They continue to post provocative content…2 votes -

Twitch needs to remember that there are other languages than english. Twitch needs to remember that there are other languages than english. Some words that are permanently banned on Twitch can mean something else in another language. There should be different ban-lists for words if the streamer has set another language in the stramer tags.

Allow Users to React to Chat Messages with Emojis and Emotes I’d like to suggest adding the ability to react directly to individual chat messages with emojis or channel emotes.
Right now, the only way to show a quick response is by sending a full message, which can interrupt the flow of conversation and create unnecessary clutter — especially when multiple people want to express the same simple reaction. On platforms where message reactions are standard, they’re an important part of user interaction, and they offer a lightweight, non-disruptive way to acknowledge messages.
Allowing reactions to be attached directly to chat messages would encourage more engagement while keeping the chat cleaner.…

Game Challenge Board for Twitch Streams I think Twitch needs to create a Community Challenge Board which would enable both streamers and viewers to add short in-chat objectives and small community challenges beyond the existing channel points system.
Imagine:
Viewers can submit a challenge like “Win a match without taking damage” or “React to a funny clip blindfolded.”
Other viewers can vote on the challenge in chat.
The streamer can pin or accept one challenge live, and progress updates could appear on the overlay.
The feature would create an active community which would produce distinct content for each broadcast.
