Implement a thing from social networks that says "256 symbols remaining" So that I could tell how many more symbols I can add to my chat message before the moderating bot would delete that message and time me out for sending it. Accordingly to the streamer's settings of the moderating bot of course.

Replace followers-only mode with established account mode Followers-only mode is discouraging finding new streams. Especially when streams have ONE HOUR followers only mode. The mode is misused to gain followers instead of preventing spam. Why do I have to follow every channel I want to chat in?

make it possible to add, change, or delete tags via commands in chat For anyone who isn't using the twitch website to stream e.g. console users or even allow mods to do it for you. This would be a much appreciated implementation after Communities were taken away.

Different color highlights I really want a @mods and @everyone. So it will show highlighted for everyone. But i would like different highlights on the @. So if the mod @ someone it shows up different so it stands out more to the viewers.

Stop scrolling chat when I scroll up in chat It is currently IMPOSSIBLE to moderate large channels because I can't scroll up to ban someone breaking twitch TOS (racism etc). Can the devs please just stop chat from scrolling when we scroll upwards in chat? This isn't something very difficult to implement.

A shortcut to show chat ON and OFF while on Fullscreen Mode and allow to type without needing to click the mouse This way wouldnt be necessary to use the mouse to interact with twitch channels chat if you are in fullscreen, then I could sit comfortably in my chair with only my keyboard in my lap while watching ;) The shortcut could be Alt+C

Breast Cancer Charity Badge I think it would be cool if Twitch partnered up with a breast cancer research charity and If users donate to charity through Twitch they could unlock a pink ribbon global badge and maybe some emotes. I think adding a badge could make it easier for users to find out about these charities and if they donate to it through Twitch they can be sure that the charity is a legitimate foundation.

Chat division moderator. Here's an idea on how to moderate an overly active chat full of spam, streamer bashing, and overall bullying without having to rely heavily on a streams moderators. Have a series of settings for chat division based on the viewers sub tier or lack there of. For example: In a stream that has over 100,000 subscribers, simply puting it into sub only mode does nothing, instead have an option that puts it into sub "tier 2" mode which now grants subscribers of "tier 3 " and "tier 2" privacy to their own chat room and have the rest of the…

Monthly Bit Leaders At the moment the setting is weekly or all time. It would be cool to have a monthly setting, because a week is only a couple of streams for some people, and forever is a really long time!

allow streamers to set a limit on the number of people that can send messages chat. Since twitch has grown in size, many people have realized that streamers can no longer engage with their community the way they used to. Even with subscriber-only mode turned on, due to the massive increase in twitch prime subs, most long time streamers' chats are still filled with spam. Add A 'Time Posted' Bubble When Hovering Over A Stream Chat Message/User Many times when a chat is more quiet it can be hard for a streamer and other chat users to know when the last message, or a specific message, was attached. This can sometimes cause confusion especially if the streamer has added a delay and doesn't see a message for several minutes. I think that, like Facebook Messenger, you should be able to hover over a specific message/user to know exactly when it was posted relative to your own time zone. It's a very simple fix that I think a lot of users and streamers would appreciate.

Possible solution for massive streams chat Current system of chats on massive streams is a big problem. Unreadable and full of spam.
I was thinking one of a possible fixes it should be to make sub rooms of chat. For example
Stream General chat can be splitted into:
chat-en-1
chat-en-2
chat-en-3
chat-es-1
chat-es-2
chat-ru-1
chat-ru-2
I dont know what kind of structure are you using about it.

Get a private message when you are mentioned. For example:
You ask a question in a chat of a streamer. You get an answer like "@name answer to question", but you could not read the answer because there are 10.000 people chatting or you went somewhere else. My suggestion is that you get a private message when your name is mentioned so you can read the answer anytime.1 vote -

Disable chat for viewers who made an account before a certain amount of time Recently I had an experience with something that i have seen plenty of people complaining about. Just like the option that disallows chat for those who havent followed for a certain amount of time, there should be an option that disallows people who have made their account for a certain amount of time. Whisper chat control Could you make it chat box more customizable? I thinking mostly about possiblility ofchanging it's place even horizontally on screen. In this version if i have chat with someone chat box is blocking some part of stream screen and it's a huge downside for me. For expample no minimap on League streams.

Highlight Certain Words I love using the /me command to highlight the whole phrase in the color of your your username, but there are times where I only want to highlight one or two words or highlight half a phrase. I would also like it if you made a bold, italics, strike through, etc. commands (For example Bold Italic Bold and Italic ~~Strike through~~ etc.) available for use inside of stream chats.

interaction between broadcaster and viewer develop a feature that allows broadcaster select specific person from the viewer list and do a video call with the person. it will be useful for the broadcaster to do direct interaction if anything happen such as a huge amount of donation, giveaway or anything else.
for example, the broadcaster select 1 of the viewer, left click the name and it will give an option to contact the viewer directly (webcam+voice chat) something like that.
