  1. I urge Twitch to blacklist the word "schizo" from its platform due to its offensive nature and potential to harm individuals with schizophrenia. While the associated 3rd-party emote ("SCHIZO") may be popular and contribute to normalizing the use of the word, it is essential to focus on the term itself rather than the content of the emote.

Schizophrenia is a complex mental disorder affecting millions worldwide. Living with schizophrenia is challenging, and many individuals with the condition may not even be aware that they have it. The casual use of the term "schizo" on Twitch contributes to stigmatization and "otherizing"…

  2. When using Shield, I think it would be a great addition to allow the streamer to decide on having autobans or timeouts, depending on the severity of what is said in chat by chatters.

I understand that the autoban is there to prevent some really nasty things in chat, and for that, I get it. But, my mind is telling me that I also would like to have the option to change that for certain phrases and/or individual words.

    e.g.

When entering custom phrases like, "you suck", "ur trash", etc.

These are definitely mean, but bannable offenses, I don't think…

  3. My big issue with the pinning messages system is that it is categorised under Mod Icons and with my moderation experience (since 2014, so almost 9 years as of posting this), I will NEVER use nor recommend ever having Mod Icons turned on for modding a chat due to it being unbelievably awful and I have seen so many mods in the past misclick it which has caused problems and unrest and upset with some viewers, especially with new viewers.

So here is my suggestion on how to improve this, I feel pin messages should be in a separate category…

  4. As someone who mods for 16+ people on another platform and a few on a Twitch, I think Twitch should start hiring a few people to be a paid mod, and to set them aside from the streamers selected mods these paid ones should have a gold sword instead of the green one. Also everytime they enter a live even if it's one they've been to multiple times, it should show them the streamers requirements for chat so they can know what to always look for.

  5. The new feature that allows people to tag creators in the channel title does not currently work in Mod View. Having that not visible in the title in Mod View makes the feature feel like it's not working and if a mod happened to want to look more into the creators that are being tagged, they would have to manually search for that creator or find them in the viewer list (which, there is no guarantee that someone being featured on the stream would be in the viewer list) which defeats the purpose of having the feature in the first…

  6. It seems that there are no banned words in the ban appeals so banned users are saying some very nasty things to streamers using the ban appeals to get around banned words in the chat. The streamer I mod for being a female is getting some really disgusting and disturbing things said to her in the ban appeals because of this.

  7. The phrase "take your meds" is a seriously overlooked phrase that incites hatred, is disparaging, and implies a derogatory attitude towards neurodivergent people.

Too often, people invoke mental health terms and phrases such as "take your meds" "that's so bipolar" "You're acting like a schizo"

Perhaps a blanket ban is overreaching, but Twitch should take it upon itself, on its own platform, that typically champions people of neurodivergence, to stop such a toxic, hateful, vile expression and attitude towards those who may have differing perspectives, opinions, outlooks on life, or even represent an older generation of twitch users.

    It is…

  8. I tried to get phone verification but never received SMS or call with the code. My phone number has +57 prefix. Three weeks trying without success. I’m not able to chat with some streamers because of this issue.

  9. That there is a setting where the moderators have to approve all links that are posted before it is sent. This could also be integrated into the defense mode and only activated when this is activated (as a setting like the rest in the mode).

  10. There have been cases of streamers banning users without any explanation, leaving the banned user feeling confused and frustrated. This lack of transparency can lead to a breakdown in trust between the streamer and their audience, and can also have a negative impact on the overall community.

Streamers should have to give a reason for a ban. And banned users should have the ability to appeal their ban to Twitch. This could be done through a system where the user can submit an appeal to Twitch, which can then review the ban and determine if it was justified. For instance,…

  11. I have an idea. Make moderator statistics, that is, how many moderators blocked users, deleted messages, issued mutes. This will be useful for tracking moderator activity.

  12. Similar to how only the mods and streamer can see a "Staff" category in the User List, it would be great for there to be a "Restricted Users" category that they could see as well that would show any users in chat who are either monitored, restricted or banned from chatting. This would be a great tool for actively monitoring those who are stalking and harassing a streamer without them having to type in chat. For those that have first time follower/chatter restrictions, it would allow mods to see brand new/ban evading accounts trying to wait out the restriction time.…

  13. We need a way to make it so new accounts cant chat/follow, the current system is useless, someone can just make a new account, verify it with a burner email and skip all the security to harass the streamer continuously. Phone verify alienates people because not everyone wants to give away their phone number/ it can be a bit of a hassle to set up.

  14. It may seem extreme to some people, but i'm a moderator on a girl streamer's channel and lately she's gotten a lot of harassment from just one person, that person does not stop creating accounts all the time just to continue writing uncomfortable and improper things to her.

Me and her channel's moderator team are reporting all of his accounts through Twitch's reporting system, but that won't limit the person from creating new accounts.

So, my idea is that only the streamer will have access to suspend IP addresses of multi-account stalkers.

    Thanks for reading.

  15. Stop not allowing VOIP numbers. SMS verification can easily be performed with VOIP. Twitch is attempting to farm unneeded information by tying a form of account verification to having and providing a phone number that corresponds with a large telecommunications company. Not only is this incredibly invasive and not at all conscientious, it also serves as a financial barrier to those who are unable, or unwilling to get a normal phone number. Not everyone needs to pay the unneeded money to ATT or a similar corporation. VOIP numbers work just fine. Adding insult to injury, is that you can even…

  17. The feature would allow the moderators on mobile to run , close , and distribute channel points without the use of a pc! It’s more reliable a game changer at that

  18. An Up to Date and Verified Email Address Should Be Enough For You to be Considered a Verified Account.

There are so many streamers whose chats I would like to participate in, but I can't because they keep their chat in "Verified Accounts Only" Mode. However, what I fail to understand is why an Up to Date and Verified Email Address wouldn't be enough to consider you a verified account. Why must you give Twitch both your email AND your phone number/enable 2FA to be considered a verified account? I don't like not being able to chat just because Twitch…

  19. Using the word "*****" in a negative context on the Twitch platform or anywhere else is offensive and inappropriate. These words are slang terms that can offend and humiliate women.

Nowadays, in the context of the struggle for gender equality and respect for women's rights, it is important to respect each person and avoid using words and expressions that can harm others.

As a member of the Twitch community, you can play an important role in maintaining a respectful and enjoyable environment for all users by avoiding offensive language and by taking an active part in the fight against discrimination…

  20. I don't know if anyone else has been having this problem, but is Shield Mode supposed to turn on automatically when you end stream? It carries over to the beginning of the stream and the person I'm modding for has to turn it off manually every time. Is it because they use OBS Studio? Or is it because they raid? If anyone else had this problem, ways to fix this would be a huge help!
