  1. Currently anonymous subs can be given to offensive account names and the streamer has no ability to report this. A gifter can continue to do this indefinitely. Streamers can only report the accounts that were gifted which does not solve the problem.

This leads to immediate and continuous abuse.

You removed Anonymous Bits for "Abuse" reasons despite them not carrying a name, image, or message. You left in Anonymous Gift subs even though they can be used like this. Give us an option to report these actions.

  3. I was horrified this week when a long term viewer was accidentally banned because a mod had a faulty mouse. Luckily it was picked up on VERY quickly and the user unbanned however it means they are now on banned lists, lose certain streaks and had a negative experience that could have been avoided.

I do however understand the need to ban users quickly.

As a work around, could there be a 'check' when banning users that meet certain criteria based on either their channel role or follow age to prevent accidental bans?

Better yet, having a settings page where…

  4. Hi to all, talking here as a 5 years experience daily unsing twitch and twitch moderator of small spanish community.

    The problem:
Toxicity during events where variety of streamers participate.

    Origin of the problem:
Here in spanish communities a percentage of the communities are too emotional and tends to go in other streamer channels and text things that becomes toxic and generates bad feelenigs both the streamers and regular chat users.
We as a moderators have the needed tools to ban them and normally we create moderation discords to ban them across distinct stremers.

    Suggestion:
    When someone gets banned from…

  5. Moderator access should include the /raid command and heres why.

    Community Building and Networking:

Raids are a fantastic way for streamers to connect with each other and foster a sense of community. When a streamer raids another channel, their viewers are redirected to the target channel. This cross-promotion helps creators discover new audiences and build relationships.

Moderators, being integral members of a streamer’s community, should have the ability to initiate raids. By doing so, they can actively participate in community-building efforts and contribute to the streamer’s network.

    Assisting Streamers:

Moderators play a crucial role in maintaining chat order, enforcing rules,…

  6. Hey Twitch Community,

I've got a simple suggestion that could make life easier for all of us, especially mods. Right now, when someone shares a link in a mod comment, it's just plain text. We have to copy and paste it to access it, which can be a bit of a hassle, especially when it's for something like checking out a screenshot.

So, how about we make those links clickable in user cards? It's a quick and easy fix that would save us all time and make things smoother. Whether it's for reviewing evidence, sharing resources, or anything else, clickable…

  8. Hey!

Editors should have some more functionality I think in line with some of the ideas that Twitch added over the years to make them further distinct from moderators and warrant actually placing someone as an editor only or moderator + editor.

    Some examples:

    • Removing VIP badges/moderators from channels or adding VIPs/moderators to channels.

    • Maybe a "role hierarchy" of Broadcaster -> Editor -> Moderator to make editor more distinct.
So for example, if a moderator pins a message, an editor can remove the pinned message, but can't remove it if the broadcaster pins a message in chat. Likewise, if a…

  9. With the follower lists now being viewable to the streamer only, it would be more useful if the links on the username opens the UserCard instead of going to that user's channel. This would make investigation of suspicious users by the streamer more practical. If the intention is to go to the channel, that would still be possible from the usercard after it is opened. Would also make it easier to use if each user didn't take up so much screen space.

  10. In the Review recent raids menu a quick option to ban all raiders from the same raid.

It should not be an easy to missclick button, ask to user to write in "CONFIRM" or something to make sure it can't be used by accident.

This Feature would be a great help to counter hate and bot raids.

The channel owner should be able to decide if mods are able to use it or only the owner.

  11. I have over 28.000 bans on my channel, banning about 40-50 accounts per day and have no way to circumvent the targeted attacks because of the lack of geolocated moderation. I need to impose limitations for accounts chatting from a specific country (italy) that's where the hate is coming from.

The only bandaid fix for now is going full sub-only mode which has the downside of stifling channel growth because legitimate new users won't be able to interact at all. Also, I would suggest allowing the streamer to set phone verification requirement only for specific regions to avoid imposing blanket…

  12. Whenever I see people acting in a way I want them banned in the spaces I mod for I find myself opening all those channels & individually banning them there. I'd love to be able to click on users in the chat I'm in & not moderating for & same as with blocking & reporting, select a "ban in channel/ban..." option. Ideally a list should pop up then so I can select where to ban the user as not all channels might apply the same ruleset. I guess being able to enter the reason in those fields then would be…

  13. It makes cleaning up followbot raids and identifying suspicious accounts immediately so much easier. Half the time the bots stop viewing, so you can't pull them from active chat. Being able to click on the username from the Activity Log and ban the user directly is so much more straightforward.

  14. Random Twitch users are granting Moderator roles to my friends and I. We are not associated with the random Twitch users' channels nor communities. However, we are now forced to be linked to people who use terrible language and put others down. There is a link internal to Twitch and if somehow we found ourselves in these awful channels, we would be seen as Moderators.

It does not matter if we are not followed to these channels. It does not matter if the random Twitch users are added to our block lists.

We need a safety feature that prevents random…

  15. The new Modview UI update that just rolled out has a really inefficient use of space. The offline/stream session bar at the top that is fixed and 90% blank is a complete waste of space. It should be moveable like the widgets so we can place it where we want it, and minimisable so it can just be on the sidebar like it was previously. The gaps between the widgets has also doubled, and that is also all just wasted space, it was completely fine before. Trying to use modview on something like a laptop was already a space compromise,…

    Relevant Update  ·  Ana responded

    Thank you for your feedback.

For context, we had two problems we were trying to address with this UI update:

    • We have some features planned down the line that will not work as widgets and need a new space within Mod View. While we hope that they will warrant the addition of the top nav bar, we understand that it currently feels like a poor use of space.
    • We have heard that users new to Mod View find the interface overwhelming. Some of the tweaks to the interface were intended to help with this.

With that said, we acknowledge that this update may feel like a downgrade for users comfortable with the density of information presented in the previous Mod View. We’ll be looking into ways to improve the experience for our power users (as well as new) while making room for new features. In the meantime, we have added…

  16. Add from the channel moderation page the chat options (non-mod chat delay and block hyperlinks) into the mod view page Modes-menu.
Chat slowmode is already there so why not the rest of the settings applying to the chat.

  17. I am a Mod in a couple of channels and I do take moderation very seriously. I also try to keep Twitch a safe place, as much as possible.

    What happened:
A streamer I mod for was the victim of insults and hateful speech yesterday (June the 11th 2024). The perpetrator was reported by myself and other Mods of the victim. The insults/speech were done during the perpetrators stream. They were live at the same time as the victim. (no VOD)

In less than a minute after the report, I have already received an answer from Twitch, that no violation…

  18. How is it a half naked woman can play a stream where she literally has the game playing on her **** cheek or her ****** not be considered sexual content and yet a male identified or looking person gets stream taken down because they have their shirt off?

You are incentivizing such content as they get massive viewer numbers for something which is obviously meant to be ****.

  19. As a Twitch user and streamer that is also a moderator for 15+ channels, I would love to have quick access from the main Twitch page or even the dropdown when I click on my icon in the top right corner, it directs me to a page that has the list of streamers that I mod for. Even something similar to the look of the Twitch Teams page where its a list of streamers, with the streamers that are live, at the top of the list.

  20. It would be great to bring back the Global Moderator program. I think it would keep streams a safer space, especially for newer streamers who do not need a full time mod but someone to shout people out or to handle unruly chat.
