Dedicated 2b2t Twitch Category to Prevent Misclassification of Gameplay
I’m reaching out on behalf of the 2b2t Minecraft content creator community to suggest creating a dedicated 2b2t category on Twitch.
Recently, multiple 2b2t streamers have received short suspensions for “cheating” while streaming normal 2b2t gameplay. This appears to be causing confusion because 2b2t is an anarchy Minecraft server where modified clients and gameplay modifications are permitted by the server itself. The official 2b2t website states:
“Players are allowed to use cheats and modifications on the server. However, the server may not allow full functionality of your cheats.”
2B2T's Site https://www.2b2t.org/mods/
Because of this, automated moderation or detection may potentially interpret legitimate 2b2t gameplay as cheating, resulting in creators being incorrectly penalized.
Would Twitch consider creating a dedicated 2b2t category, or another way to identify 2b2t streams so they can be reviewed in the proper context?
This issue has become a recurring concern within the 2b2t streaming community, with creators experiencing similar suspensions every few months. We completely understand Twitch’s responsibility to enforce its Community Guidelines and are not asking for an exception to Twitch’s rules. We’re simply asking whether 2b2t content could be classified or reviewed differently to help prevent legitimate gameplay from being mistaken for cheating.
We would greatly appreciate Twitch considering this suggestion

ShoroNLife here and I gotta say that this is something that I feel does need to be properly addressed and I too have face a ban for cheating when on one of the many anarchy servers.
While I've been away from 2b2t I feel like I am more than qualified to talk about this as well as much as my friends are. 2b content and other anarchy servers need to be recognized by twitch as an exception to the cheating standpoint. Have the Anarchy Minecraft category actively check for clients and most importantly for an anarchy server. Because some might try take advantage of the category not banning people for using clients. -

Cheating is fun on 2b2t, and it's allowed so L for twitch. #Save2b2t

I agree with Preston for a general anarchy Minecraft category too.
Hope this goes through!

I would expand this to cover all anarchy minecraft and other games that promote modification as 2b2t is just one of hundreds of servers that not only allows the use of cheats and modifications but expects them to produce a fair hacker vs hacker gameplay experience. im sure there are other niche instances on different games where modification may look like unfair gameplay when in fact it is fair because all the players are using performance enhancing mods

Content creators being banned, demonetized, or even removed from the platform due to false allegations of cheating is a problem. Most exploits are allowed on the 2b2t Minecraft server, so the majority of these accusations are erroneous at best and malicious at worst.
Bad faith actors and trolls should not hold governance over the livelihood of content creators, who are the lifeblood of this platform.

Cheats are an inherent part of 2b2t. Being penalized for simply playing the server is pretty upsetting for the twitch streamers that we love to watch

I agree, Being a 2b2t streamer i am worried about getting banned and not being able to stream the server I love! I think it would be very useful to get a 2b2t catagory or another way to identify 2b2t streams to protect this streaming commuinity from getting penalized when hacking is allowed on the server and not breaking any Game/Twitch Rules! Thank you for your time!

Just yesterday I faced a 1-day suspension, and a 90 day probation period for the same reason, after I assume a troll viewer reported my channel with malicious intent. Please, please look into this to help protect dedicated creators on the platform.
As a creator with around 8k followers and 5 years of streams on Twitch, where I rely on viewer support for financial stability, it is a terrifying precedent knowing that I could potentially face a ban if an ill-intent viewer decides to use the current moderation system against my channel.
Lastly I would like to express that every 2b2t/anarchy Minecraft content creator that I've come across on twitch are adamant in denouncing the use of modified clients on any Minecraft server that is not explicitly advertised as anarchy. We are all very intentional in facilitating a rule-abiding community on Twitch and a specific 2b2t category or tag could be a great tool to express that while also protecting creators.
Thank you for your consideration!

I have received a suspension for this in the past that I was able to successfully appeal after submitting screenshots to the link brookswrld_ shared above. In addition to potential auto-mod, the nature of the server includes some unsavory characters who would report 2B2T streamers just to be a troll or as revenge. Having Twitch be aware of this and including some kinda of dedicated category would help alleviate this. Also, I think this would very useful for both creators that play on this server and viewers who like to watch it. There's a lot of folks who are curious about 2B2T but will never play it themselves and prefer to watch others and learn the history and lore of the server.
