Sensitive social issues Bullet points need to be removed, not 'clarified'
it doesn't matter how much you 'clarify' the point of the final two bullets, they are not fit for the political category especially when contrasted with the other things in the category. Putting peoples rights in there opens up marginalized groups to hate and bigotry. We want the points REMOVED and twitch's response is completely missing the point the community has been making.
At what point does something go from 'personal experience' to 'too political'? if a streamer talks about their own right to an abortion being taken away where they live, is that personal experience or political? it is entirely subjective. Is a trans person talking about their experiences with HRT 'fact based'? Who determines this? The bigots who will undoubtedly mass report said streamers to shut them up?
"intermittent mentions of (...) sensitive social issues are not required to have the politics and sensitive social issues label" how long is intermittent? most streamers i watch like to have small conversations with chat about social issues, how long can these chats go on for?
I don't understand why you refuse to just take out the 'Sensitive social issues' point. It's what the user base is asking you to do and it is the right thing to do.

The non-response clarification provided by Twitch as a response to requests to remove the content classification flag for these topics.
Saying that streamers don't need to flag for "intermittent mentions" does not spark joy. In fact, it sparks dread. As is known with other streamers, even just a casual mention or display might get them a warning. Me speaking about my queer life and queer topics, no matter how little, becomes reportable and at the whims of some moderator who may be having a bad day and decides even one mention is too many.
Placing these topics into a warning category is indefensible and the category should be removed.

Twitch do better. A disproportionate percentage of the internet including your userbase is lgbt. The idea that our lives and rights are something to be debated is disgusting. you saw the steam the previous post was getting and released your half a** correction that didn't adress the problem in the slightest. You think we'll just go away, we're not something you can brush under the rug.

I made a uservoice hoping to get Twitch to reclassify us as a protected group. Their whole current solution is to sweep the real problem under the rug while slapping a sticker that says "fixed" on it while they strut around going "no need to thank me, I know I'm pretty great."
They really just cleaned a colourful fabric with bleach, didn't they? Making the stain worse.

That's not even to mention the fact that under this clarification, you wouldn't be able to talk about anything other than your "lived experience." What does that mean exactly? It obviously means that cishet people openly supporting LGBT rights could be taken as "too political" now, which only furthers the constant messaging that the existence of queer people is a political issue that is up for debate. Remove the bullet point, twitch. Jesus Christ.

The existence of a person is not a "sensitive social issue" nor is it political. Remove the clause entirely.

You had your corporate apology response, now do as you were actually asked Twitch. This is not some difficult ambiguous ask, this is simply 'remove the bad bullet point'

Twitch's response missed the mark completely again, and I'm not surprised.
I.e. ok great I can talk about my own lived experience but not the experience of the community at large?
We have people who go on social media saying they cannot stand "anything woke" and then you go check, and it turns out that simply a gay or trans character being present in the game is "woke" enough. My existence and the existence of people like me is inflammatory because bigots like that ate plentiful and vocal in the anonymizing way the internet works.
So all this "clarification" does is provide cover for bigots and harmful actors. Is that the point of your policy?
Or is it that advertisers who are run by people who are just as much bigots than those, just less openly vocal, are asking you to do this?
Frankly, a very large chunk of the content in your platform is created by queer people, by immigrants, by neurodivergent people. Stop trying to policies whose purpose is to make it easier to discriminate against us. And even this debacle already caused damsge. The bullet points need to be removed, and an anti-discrimination policy that makes it clear that social rights of minorities cannot be challenged or reported as violations must take its place now.

The last two bullet points violate both your own antidiscrimination terms and California law (your governing law) on discrimination.
Also what determines factual? Things like the Cass Report (which has been debunked by hundreds but in UK is still being deemed factual for legislative purposes only)? What determines intermittent? How is your AI moderation trained on the topics? Will your AI moderation be able to discern that a person is speaking on lived experience?
What about charity streams focused on those issues? What about the Guilds system that specifically encompasses those issues (ex Women's Guild, Pride Guild)?
Even with the "clarification" the last two bullet points opens up creators in protected classes to harassment and mass reporting. Change it. Remove protected classes.

What part of "an inherent existence of a person and their experiences is not political" do you not understand Twitch?
You’re just bootlicking to the hateful politicians at this point.

LGBTQ+ people are not sensitive issues nor they are political, they're people and they don't deserve to be censored on Twitch or have their ad revenue eligibility removed. Treating the LGBTQ+ community as "sensitive issues" is bigotry and discrimination and Twitch is going to drive a lot of viewers and streamers away if they further firm their stance on such.

Just remove this CCL Twitch, end of story. Until then, I'll be streaming to Youtube only. It's less of a hassle anyway.

I work in content review for advertising. I understand why Twitch wants to mark advocacy for human rights as a sensitive issue- though I disagree with the likely reasoning.
The fact remains that bad actors are already using this bullet point to harass and report streamers for their existence, and those streamers are being punished.
Twitch you cannot have both Stream with Pride and a bullet point classifying LGBTQ+ issues as sensitive political topics. I shouldn't have to be the one to explain this, but with the amount of discrimination and hate people in the community face it would be impossible to talk about daily lived experiences without also sounding like advocacy.
I hope you can see from how many comments you've already gotten that this the middle road of trying to clarify the rule has only made Twitch's public image worse. Remove the bullet point altogether and save yourselves from further reputation damage.

TWITCH?! Do you want streamers to leave en masse and cause your platform to die? This is discrimination at the highest level. This is NOT about politics, this is about CONTROL. YOU, want to CONTROL the LGBTQ+ community by shutting them up. YOU, are the BIGOTS. REMOVE, this final bullet point, or the consequences, will be enough to BANKRUPT you, AND AMAZON! That clarification explanation IS NOT ENOUGH! Do the right thing. REMOVE that final bullet point.

Clairifications aren't good enough. It still sets a slippery precedent for bad actors to use this bullet point to falsely report minority streamers for simply existing and take away their advertisement revenue
