Blur Thumbnails for streams with the Sexual Themes tag
As a streamer and Twitch viewer, I use this platform daily. I personally do not have much opinion on the updated approach regarding Twitch's policies on sexual content and classification labels, and it may benefit some. However, I believe there has been a major oversight when rolling out these changes.
I am aware that streams marked with the Sexual Themes tag will not be displayed on the home page (logical enough), yet they still show up in other categories. The preview thumbnails even showcasing full nudity (and some potential rule breaks surpassing just "artistic nudity"), while I am just trying to browse the Art or Just Chatting categories.
I believe that simply Blurring the Thumbnails of any streams marked with the Sexual Themes tag by default when browsing categories on this platform, should be a must. I don't know why, but there is absolutely nothing blurred out for me and it doesn't seem to be a feature either. There are also no functional warnings for me or whatever is supposed to come with the Sexual Themes tag(?). Is it a one and done deal? This is NOT good enough. I do not want to constantly see nudity when I'm trying to look for a SFW artists on twitch, or browse the Just Chatting category. Not to mention this is worrisome with minors being on the platform.
I humbly request that anyone who agrees with the notion of blurring thumbnails of streams marked with the sexual themes tag by default (possibly with the ability to turn it off and on), votes for this idea and hopefully Twitch will implement this feature. Thank you for considering and I hope that this feedback is well received.

Blurring is not enough but is a first step, we must have an option to hide all those channels and don't get recommended. This is not a safe gamer environment anymore.

This would be a perfect way to continue with the recent tos change without rolling it back, please help both your artist community and its veiwers by addapting this to the website it will help immensely

I can't even look through the clip section from the art category anymore like I used to. I just keep getting smacked in the face with full out breasts, vaginas and the occasional erect *****.
I'm sick of it and the artists pretending like their not drawing ****.
At least having a blurring feature can help not needing constant brain bleaching. -

Another site I frequent let's you set up your own filters, "Safe" mode, or "Show Everything",
Safe mode will hide everything that is flagged with any mature tags at all. Another option also lets you blur things that are flagged as NSFW with 13+, 17+ or 18+ tags/categories.I was half expecting this to be implemented by this change. Seeing the Art category today was disturbing.

Sexual Themes content is visible 3-4 clicks from the front page when not logged in.
Browse, Creative, Art. Top stream is drawn nudity. The stream is correctly tagged "Sexual Themes" but there's no guard rails now for this content.
Burring the thumbnail is an easy fix.

This should have been done with the updated guidelines. While I myself am over 18 I personally want to opt out of seeing streams and thumbnails with this content because I don't come to Twitch to see it. I just went to the Art category and it was FULLLL of NSFW stuff. Good for the artists showing their work but not everyone wants to or should be able to see it.
What REALLY bother me is the fact that you have to see an explicit thumbnail before you get asked if you're the correct age to view the content and can't help but think about minors that will see these thumbnails and content and Twitch hasn't done enough to protect them or ask people for their consent to view and engage with it.
I agree parents should monitor their kids etc etc but in the age of carrying and hiding compact devices that isn't always feasible so the onus should be brought back to platforms to do more than a tiny box you can click away from. -

Exactly my thought, this should have been done AS SOON as TOS have been changed. Like what the actual f***. As soon as I opened my following tab I saw: *****, vaginas and **** in thumbnails. Unfollowed every streamer who did this. This place is becoming ridiculous. If things like that will continue on this platform - I'll just leave for good. You're completely out of your mind Twitch?

This sets a pretty bad precedent going forward to a degree. The lack of rigorous oversight on this has already allowed exploitation of loopholes and vague terms by many streamers already to gain a large audience, or even just deliberately break the rules knowing it will gain such a heavy attention.
Twitch really should've done better to be more strict on the rules, and be clear and concise so there was no room for ambiguity from the get-go, as of now I can go onto the Just Chatting or Art sections and see many people, both in the flesh, and digital (vtubers) that are fully naked, knowing this is gaining them lots of attention, or even seeing people watching hentai on there.
Look if people wanna watch this sort of stuff, fine, I don't care what you consume, but I feel like even allowing this stuff just generally isn't a good look going forward.
Generally I feel like this content shouldn't even be allowed, period because this sort of content only generally benefits certain kind of people (AKA Content Creators of Adult Content). I can understand/accept artists being able to draw nudity as hey that can be pretty tasteful and freedom of artistic expression is not a bad thing but the line still has to be drawn and drawn straight and deep as people still exploit this by having themselves barely wearing tops on, knowing the focus will be on them.
Not even gonna mention how this **** can affect children using the site, its 13+, not 18+.

This needs to be implemented. As things stand I can no longer open Twitch safely at work or in public as I have to worry about scrolling over a very unsafe thumbnail especially in the art category. I'd go into settings and hide any such streams by default if I could but sadly this isn't even an option so far as I'm aware.
