This should have been done with the updated guidelines. While I myself am over 18 I personally want to opt out of seeing streams and thumbnails with this content because I don't come to Twitch to see it. I just went to the Art category and it was FULLLL of NSFW stuff. Good for the artists showing their work but not everyone wants to or should be able to see it.
What REALLY bother me is the fact that you have to see an explicit thumbnail before you get asked if you're the correct age to view the content and can't help but think about minors that will see these thumbnails and content and Twitch hasn't done enough to protect them or ask people for their consent to view and engage with it.
I agree parents should monitor their kids etc etc but in the age of carrying and hiding compact devices that isn't always feasible so the onus should be brought back to platforms to do more than a tiny box you can click away from.
