Accept or deny incoming raids
Give streamers or their moderators the ability to accept or deny incoming raids, with a default state to be set by the streamer. At the moment streamers can choose to only be raided by friends or teammates, which increases safety at the cost of discoverability. This will give some peace of mind in the midst of hate raiders.
Alternatively, a moderator command to "Purge all raiders", if a raid has been malicious - a one stop shop to time out / ban all accounts that came in with a recent raid.
Great ideas. And as much as I love the surprised faces of raided streamers, they should have the opportunity to finish what they wanted to tell their viewers. So kind of a 'knocking at streamer's door' feature would be nice. The streamer can decide at that moment to open the door or not. To have visual insight into the stream one want to raid (like into a window), might be discussed.
This is a very good idea. I've seen quite a lot of hate raids now against streamers I follow and I think this could help.
More security and safety for creator's would mean that advertisers would be better protected so it's really in twitches best interest to implement this
I was about to submit an idea about raid tags on users. Your idea is basically an application of that idea.
Seems like a simple addition and another way to add customizable security for each creator on your platform.
along with this, i suggest the name of the raiding streamer appear in the automod window, in case multiple raids occur at once and the "purge raiders" option be on a list of current and previous raids with an option to simply timeout the raiders or to full on ban them (incase u're not sure which raid is the offending party)...
and the other options accepting or denying raids be in the same place where u can turn all raids off, just add more conditional options rather than just off and on... and the accept or deny in the moment of potential raid be in the automod window as well...
oh, and i almost forgot... the addition of a tip or hint or whatever type of documentation to show how to use these features in the event of a hate raid, perhaps in the beginner guide to streaming and elsewhere for experienced streamers
This but with the addition that it auto-accepts raids from anyone the broadcaster already follows, or where it can work on a condition-format, as in it will auto-accept any partners, affiliates, or any other relevant condition.
Agreed! Also to add the ability to check their profile before you decide!
This is a brilliant idea!
Brilliant suggestions to help keep the communities on Twitch safe! Love it
More moderation will ALWAYS be a positive for streamers and viewers alike. Great ideas!
