Viewers in my chat vs actual viewers
Why does it show I only have one viewer when I am streaming but when I look in
my chat there are 12 people? None of the views count toward my stream analytics
so I just have ghost in my chat. When I review the stream none of the views show.

I have had this happen in every one of my streams... I have 3 viewers the whole time, and multiple "users" showing up in my chat, but none of them talk to me...I do have a few followers who do come into my stream to chat with me and actually help me! but this is frustrating because I truly grind very day,and because I'm a new streamer, twitch doesn't pick up on most of my viewers... :( it hurts, but in the end,I stream because i love it and have tons of fun, even if I have to talk to my two siblings streaming with me ;p I even went as far as adding a donation button to my about me because someone suggested it,but to no avail...lol

I'm feeling this pain too, and it doesn't seem like Twitch is taking it very seriously.

And it happens to me too

This may be because your viewers are not talking in the chat or have your stream muted

Also note, if watchers have their volume off on your stream, it doesn't count.

I too have been having that issue my friends will be watching from home and it will show only one or two views when there is actually five friends watching me. And no I am not talking about the bots that show up I mean actual real life people I have known for years.

I seen one person comment that users in your chat are not really watching your stream, yes while some of them are bot I know that I have more than 1 viewer in my chat bc, my boyfriend watches my stream and chats in my stream along with 2 other people that i know are actually watching my stream bc they chat and ask me why my viewer count is not adding up correctly.... I understand that some people are just lurkers or bots and not really there, but when I have 5 people chatting at same that I know are real people and have actual accounts and I'm only getting credit for 1 viewer it's upsetting.... Than to add the cherry on top when my viewer count on stream has been 3 the whole time i stream and then i end stream and only get credit for a average of 1 viewer that's upsetting as well and honestly it makes me not want to stream on twitch cuz what is the point when your viewer count isn't right and this makes 2nd month that I could have been affiliated had my viewer count been correct...

Yeah, I have been having this issue for the past couple of days and it is extremely frustrating being on the brink of twitch a affiliate only to be brought down by incorrect viewer count.

AFAIK you can be in twenty different chats (or however many your Device can handle at the same time) . But that certainly DOES NOT MEAN they're watching or even have your stream playing, therefore saying that your 10 chat only users are in fact viewers would be a lie. they're not viewers, they're chatters, and unfortunately i discovered by googling my users in chat (from my streamlabs report) that a lot of those were chatbots (NOT even real humans that forgot to close the pop up chat) I bet that amongst the users you guys have anotherttvviewer

but there's plenty more out there.

Hi there,
I usually do have between 10-12 viewers in my chat daily for a while now but only 3 of them are accounted for. I've asked Twitch about this but nothing has been done.

Wait just thought of this. So if this is happening to me then it could me happening to thousands of streamers which you are making ad rev off of. All while holding them back from becoming affiliates. Can I see the internal data on this? I will need to contact some of my people to look into this and run a stream with my analysis.
