[Feature] Stream Events & Streamer-versary
We have some exciting news to share with our Streamers! We have just launched a new feature that allows you and your community to celebrate your Streamer-versary (the day you became an Affiliate or Partner) in an extra special way. To help start the party, Twitch can now send you reminders of your upcoming Streamer-versary and helps you choose a date to celebrate within a 2-week window from the day you joined the Creator Program that aligns with your ideal stream schedule. During the stream event, viewers will see an anniversary badge and tag on your stream; and to help chat feel extra special, viewers will get a special prompt to congratulate you and custom emotes will be available for your community to share the love in chat on your big day.
With the above features mentioned, we would love to know what other events or milestones would you like to celebrate on stream? Perhaps your birthday, the anniversary of your first stream ever, or your 100th stream? Let us know. We’re also open to suggestions for other features you’d like to see during your Streamer-versary celebrations. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Thx to add on twitch, a LIVE warning bot in chat, about DMCA or banned content while we are streaming, KICK manage to do it gently. Soft manners are the best.

Sounds like a good idea. But I cannot set a "celebration stream" for this year. My anniversary is 5 days ago (07.07.). But I can only set a celebration stream date for next year, 2025.

I'd love to see the anniversary hat appear in the follow list/in the user lists.

As a software engineer, I bet somebody from a marketing team or somebody with a business degree decided this was a priority. Y'all could have worked on anything else but this.

This topic is still marked as "Looking for Feedback" so here I go.
I like the Streamer-versary idea, but unfortunately I probably won't be able to use it this year. I was late to the party and only heard about the feature from another streamer a couple days ago (oops), and I didn't have the full details.
Subsequently, I did not realize the event would auto-launch an entire 24 hours in advance of the actual anniversary date, and mistakenly assumed I would be able to reschedule to anywhere in the two-week window as long as I did it before the actual date of the anniversary itself.
My affiliate anniversary is tomorrow. My intention was to schedule a Streamer-versary celebration event for early next week so I could celebrate my affiliate anniversary on my actual birthday. Instead I discovered that the event was already in-progress and could not be cancelled. I did not stream today and I most likely won't able to stream tomorrow, so I'm going to miss out entirely. No fun party hats for my community. :(
I reached out to support and was advised that no mechanism currently exists to stop the event once it has begun and there is also no way to reset it, so I will have to wait until next year to use this feature. That's kind of a bummer.
Although it's partially my own fault for not being fully informed, I'm sure I'm not the first person to make this mistake and I probably won't be the last.
To prevent this, I would strongly recommend that the event be changed so the streamer (or a mod) must manually start it themselves to begin their 48 hour window, either by clicking a button on the creator dashboard or the stream manager page. Maybe you could do a temporary, un-hidable tile or banner in the stream manger page that generates a message along the lines of: "Your Streamer-versary is [DATE]. You have from [eligible start date] to [eligible end date] to celebrate! Start now?"
In addition, I'd like to echo the sentiments of others in this thread about what a Streamer-versary is. I agree that the Streamer-versary should be the first day we streamed, and that an Affiliate-versary or Partner-versary should be a different event.

Thank you for giving us, streamers, a chance to emphasize and celebrate our streamer-versary with our viewers. Looking for more events celebration like this. I hope birthday celebration will be the next. Thank you once again!

Love the idea of the Streamer-versary but my date is incorrect. Says its December 15 when it November but I cant go backwards. It just says "The date can't be older than the date we have registered." 72 months would be 6 years but 73 its 6 years and a month-ish. The numbers arent adding up for me so i feel wrong celebrating something a month late. Hopefully when its closer to that time next year it will let me change the date?

The confusing thing about the date is the statement of 4 weeks - looking at the date range they made available to me it was up to two weeks prior to the actual anniversary and up to two weeks after the actual anniversary, making a total variation of 4 weeks.

I saw some other people with the same issue, I was intending on setting my stream anniversary day for the 26th, but unfortunately didn't give me the chance to edit the date within the 4 weeks as per mentioned in the email.
It's unfortunate but no problem, will still do the event and I guess wait for next year on the scheduled day.

As some others mentioned, I am unable to set my affiliate anniversary date because it already passed, even though your email (which I got on the 13th) stated it can be 'any time within the next four weeks'. I wasn't sure when I'd do the anniversary stream so I didn't change the date from my official anniversary (27th, a few days ago now), but now I DO know the date I cannot adjust it anymore. Bummer.
Would be nice if you either adjust this system to allow changes within those 4 weeks unless you already streamed on the streamerversary date, OR make it obvious in the email that you should set the date so you don't miss out.

Hey, it's great to have this Streamer-versary! But although I am Affiliate I'd like to celebrate the day when my first stream was. That is the birth day of my channel and community. So for me, this day is more important than the day I became affiliate. It would be great to have the choice to celebrate this day instead or additionally. :)

i so think it would be a nice change for twitch to have a special tab like ''recomended smaller comunities'' and ''people recomended for you'' but one for people celebrating their Streamer-versary to get that extra push since even getting shown at ''recomended smaller communities'' takes quite a decently sized community

I celebrated my 1st year as Affiliate, but 6 days later the Streamer-versary came available. I'm like why now?

Stream-versary is great. But I would like to celebrate the anniversary of my first stream ever and also my birthday. Like a streamer said: Streamer-versary should be the date of your first stream, not the date you got affiliate.

QoL Improvement: List the anniversary number (1 year, 2 years, etc.) and also have a different badge to represent the longer times similar to how sub tiers/bits/gifted subs have different badges for longer terms/more, could follow that system.

Love the idea of Twitch getting behind these events!
Here are some more events, as mentioned by others;
1. Streamer-versary - Date of first stream ✨
2. Affili-versary - Anniversary of becoming Affiliate 🥳
3. Partner-versary - Anniversary of becoming Partner ✅
4. Streamer's Birthday - Has to be the exact date 🎂Additional:
- Push these steams up the Browse Directory.
- Unique border around stream preview in the Twitch Directory.
- Add unique backgrounds in schedule tab to make these events stand out. -

Streamer-versary should be the date of your first stream, not the date you got affiliate. At least that's how I celebrate it.
Maybe you could let us pick our own anniversary date and lock it so we can only do one per year or something. -

I want to celebrate my Streamversary in 2023, since the program started 6 days after my Affiliates. I want to change it to 2023, and try it out.
