[Experiment] Research Tab & "Time to Stream" Analytics
We're introducing a new tab called Research to Analytics in your Creator Dashboard. With it, streamers can view a panel that provides daily and hourly insight for the best times to stream, based on a particular category, in order to grow their audience.
We'd love to hear feedback on what other information you might find valuable in the Research tab, or how design could be improved to help you better understand whatever it may be that can help you make more informed choices as a streamer.
Hi all,
We're letting you know that Time to Stream should now be available to all users. Based on feedback & engagement, we've decided to implement the bar chart view to keep things easier to understand. Additionally, numbers for Channels and Viewers can be seen along with average viewers per channel. If you have any other feedback for the Research page, please feel free to share it here. Thank you!

I'd love to compare viewers per channel between categories. Having some way to overlap statistics would be great. Also toggling the stats from table to line/bar graph would be good too.
This tool seems VERY useful! Keep doing this experiment :)

I would like to ask if it could be implemented a few of if it's the last 30 to 60 days or something like so we could see monthly how a game is doing or see it over a year span

Sarebbe bello inviare notifiche a spettatori che non mi seguono, ma che mi hanno visualizzato per incentivare il loro interesse

This is super cool, but as other people have mentioned getting the sample size the data is based off would be helpful.
It helps in the same way the "exclude large streamers" option does, letting you know if that's the average experience.

It's a really nice feature to see the potential interest of a game. But I'd also like to have a rough estimate of the number of channels that the average is build upon.
For example: I can see that a game has 10 viewers per channel at 7pm on saturday. But I still can't tell if this is just 1 channel with a core community that's not there for the game but for the person or 10 channel and 100 potential viewers that are there for the game.

Hey - can't see bottom of graph. Standard resolution.
Can't see it on android, either - only X axis is visible (and median. bar). -

This is a really great feature and I can't wait to see how it progresses. I think this feature is going to help a lot of streamers progress and definitely takes some of the mystery out of streaming.
As a relatively new feature I know it's not going to have a lot of data yet so things are going to change and improve.
I would really like to see more viewer regions (I don't know if this is being worked on right now) as I feel that the "Europe, Middle East, Africa" option is far too vague as these are all such different continents there is no way the data reflected on this section could be accurate right now. To be honest, even Europe on it's own would need to be indiviualised because again, it's a huge region and being in the UK, I know the data would differ wildly from say France or Italy or Spain.

I think that's a very good idea. Especially useful for small streamers who also want to build a community. I hope there will be a final version of it soon. Had seen some small streamers that they had already received a new activation for it with a table, etc. Hope it will appear for many soon.

Me parece una buena herramienta para los nuevos creadores de contenido. Es mas sencillo de ver en que horarios son los mejores para transmitir. Ojala que la herramienta la dejen.
Saludos a todos

It looks like the "average viewer per channel" are evaluated globally and not locally. So the information is really useless right now. Nice to know that most people look into my category at 5 a.m. but this will not be my viewers as long as I do not stream in english. You should really add a "language" filter.

As a mid size streamer this info is pretty useless. It would be best to filter it to a CCV range rather than just including large streamers or not. Or to have the option of filtering out streams with less than ten viewers as there are so many it also skews the data down. When I had large streamers filtered out it was recommending eight AM on Mondays as the best time for just chatting and with large streamers it was Friday and Saturday nights.
Overall unless there are better options for filtering out top and bottom data it won't be useful to most partnered streamers. -

Is this actually a helpful tool for anyone? For larger streamers this is irrelevant, and for smaller streamers I feel like this isn't going to change anything anyway. I appreciate the effort in trying to create more tools like this, but they just do not seem helpful at all. It's similar to the Recommended Game in that there really isn't any thing significant to help with growth. I feel like a ton of that comes down to the poor discoverability on the website. Like yes, these tools could be helpful for smaller streamers, but if nothing is going to drive viewers to those channels when viewership might be peaking then what is the point?

this isn't necessarily related to analytics, though i love that y'all are trying this......but if we could sort our live following that would be great. current options are high to low vs suggested, but if we could have low to high or frequently visited that would be great. **channels we mod for should be raised to the top of the list!**
