Make StreamLabsOBS more user friendly. Twitch suggestions.
StreamLabsOBS has been an unpleasant experience for me as a new Vtuber in training. No matter what I do or how much I experiment with it, I will ALWAYS deal with the following issues:
-Laggy streams.
-Audio issues where my mic is too soft or too loud.
-Stream crashes.
-Not being able to end the stream.
-Slows down my PC and causes it to heat up.
Extra issue: A nonrefundable subscription service with barely anything to offer that is of use to me. That is $19 a month! Xsplit Broadcaster only charges $5 a month!
My suggestion is for StreamLabsOBS to take notes from other streaming programs such as Xsplit Broadcaster and etc. Xsplit Broadcaster is soooo much easier to use, I rarely deal with any lag and my streams never crash! I understand that StreamLabsOBS is a work in progress, but this has been having way too frequently for me. Please Twitch staff, share this information so your most advertised broadcasting software can improve overtime. Now I would like to get into my main issues with Twitch and offer some suggestions:
For bigger streamers, give them more tools to communicate with people on the stream. I am noticing a lot of these well known streamers, having a hard time interacting with the audience, because they have 1,000-10,000+ people communicating with them at the same time. And for goodness sake, PLEASE get rid of the bit requirements for certain streamers.
Fix the Twitch mobile app! For some reason, I can't stream using my smartphone anymore or it will say that I am live, but will not end the stream. This is a huge problem that needs to be remedied fast.
Adjust the pricing of the bits. Everyone wants to donate to their favorite streamers. Offer more options. For example. $2 for 200 bits, $3 for 300 bits and so forth. Or if that is too tedious, try $2 for 250 bits. $4 for 450 bits and so on. Expand your monetary options so people will want to give bits to the streamers that they love.
The DMCA issue. It is getting utterly absurd that we can't even sing our favorite songs anymore (some of them) or have them playing in the background. It's FREE ADVERTISEMENT! What makes it worse, is that we can't even play VIDEO GAME MUSIC anymore. Guilty Gear Strive comes out in two days and I love the soundtrack of set game. So what you are telling me is, even if I bought the sound track and played my own copy of the songs, I can still get a DMCA? That is ridiculous! Making a 50 minute long video about this issue isn't the answer either. Please think of an effective strategy so people can play music on their streams again without getting a DMCA over singing their favorite songs or playing set old song in the background, just to keep the audience entertained. And playing royalty free music in the background is cautionary too!
Add how to make a Vtuber model as part of Twitch camp. Period. End of story. No comment.
There are certain people on Twitch who do not have a follow button. That needs to be addressed and fixed soon as well.
Give feedback on big Twitch streamers custom rules. Some of them are downright unfair or baffling. Then add that as part of your "Twitch camp" on the most effective rules that most people will follow.
Relax on the censorship in some areas. Religion and politics I understand, but if a person says "Thank you Jesus" or "God is good" they shouldn't be penalized for that. Same goes for if somebody says "Biden 2024 or Trump 2024." (I don't believe in Trump 2024 but that is not the point) Let people have their freedom of speech. People are gonna say things that we like or don't like. As long as everyone follows the guidelines within your constantly updated TOS, then it shouldn't be a problem. My favorite Youtubers Raz0rfist and Artofficialentertainment, got banned for speaking the truth/their minds. It isn't right. This is why a warning system needs to be implemented with suggestions. I understand that we are supposed to "have fun" but I also understand the business aspects of things and how important stock holders money is to you all. People are people and you gotta let them grow in their own way.
That's all I got from now. I have been on and off Twitch since it was first created. I have seen this app through it's ups and downs. Most of the stuff that I am talking about here, honestly made me afraid of even being on Twitch in the first place. NOW things have gotten better but work still needs to be done. I am surrounded by tons of people who care about each other/wants to see people grow, but I can't grit my teeth and act like everything is perfect. If I do, nothing will ever change with this app. As a future Vtuber, I just want to enjoy myself without any extra stress. /hearing any more bad news/rants online about this platform. I made friends/business partners on here. I could go on and on about the many positive things that I went through. So I hope somebody hears me out and actually takes "whatever" posted on here into high consideration. You say it is not a competition, but your actions must continue to speak louder than your words. Thank you Twitch staff and etc., for all that you do, be blessed and stay safe out there. Whypeoplewhyy speaking and signing off.

Hey there!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback on this.
I just wanted to reach out because this is a lot of separate feedback in one post. Please repost the different ideas in their own threads so we can make sure they’re in the right spots.
As far as Streamlabs OBS feedback goes that is actually a third party program and we do not have any ability to make the changes you are looking for. Seems you can reach them here: https://streamlabs.com/contact
