Make it easier to get affiliate
Make it so that your followers can active an improvement - once every fortnight they can active a twelve-hour buff that puts you near the top of your category, but only if you don't have affiliate

Who are you kidding, twitch give away affiliate way to easy! They do NOT need to make it easier, if anything make it harder so you actually have a legit community by the time you get affiliate!

1.95 is better than 1.9, but you need 3.0 On a monthly average

@Mr_Rogerstv, I would agree with you except for two key problems:
1. the **** Viewer counter does not count properly. I have had a bunch of streams that had way more viewers than were counted. I know because they were people I knew who were helping me test this.
2. the dependency on viewer average encourages small streamers to actually stream less. I barely reached affiliate and only because I trimmed down all my streaming to just one day a week because that was the only day I was making more than 3 viewers (I guess people liked my D&D game) but I was streaming a lot to try and build up a following and to see what people liked. I was trying a bunch of different games and times but I think I just lucked out with the timing as my ave viewers have dropped back down below 3 even for my D&D game. I had to wait for almost a month of not streaming anything but that for the "drag" streams (1-2 viewers) to factor out of the monthly calculations but if I hadn't done that I would still be struggling to get there. I moved my other shows over to YouTube Gaming because they don't care about average viewers only total hours watched because a lot of people who watch me do so on vods. Not sure if it is a good business practice if it actively drives people to your competitors. -

I'm not an affiliate, but this idea that "If I can't get it, it's twitche's fault" is a very lazy take. I have a 2.7 viewer average and it's literally the only thing keeping me from applying to be an affiliate.
I could get upset and come complain but all it does is make me want to improve. If I don't get affiliate it's nobody's fault but my own. -

I've seen plenty of people cheat your system. Just the other day, watched a "streamer" who only had 32 followers, and was already Affilated. Can we say PAID to get that status, especially when the day I "watched" them I was the only 1 viewing.....The Twitch Algorithm sucks nuts. MANY streamers like me have tried to no avail to get the stupid numbers up....It's why we left your sh**ty system behind!

I mean I'm at 19 followers but after that I cant get no more I fell like you should not have to get so many comments and views for everybody else to see you stream I think i should be out there for everybody to see i think I that's why some of us are not getting the views and followers we need

darktigerking67 commented
I do agree that should be changed cause I'm getting more follower than views so I say this needs to be chang for sure

The current affiliate path works great in my opinion. It may be difficult for some, but it insures that most people who get affiliate deserve it. If you are struggling with getting to affiliate, don't complain about the system. Twitch doesn't promote new streamers. You have to promote yourself. I streamed for a year and got nowhere, then two weeks after starting my tiktok i reached affiliate. Use other platforms to boost your twitch and it will come once you have earned it👍😃

I wish that Twitch will consider to be more gentle and giving chance to new streamers to get easily to affiliate and to be partner to get subscribe button and monetization

I'm new to twitch and i'm very disappointed by the affiliate requirement descriptions, especially when it comes to average viewers needed to reach affiliate status. A few weeeks ago, i hit 3 of the affiliate requirements, then i got the Watcher of the watchers achievement, saying that i had reached 3.0 average viewers for the last 30 days. I thought this meant that i had reached affiliate status and i was told by friends on discord that i could stream all that I wanted at that point without hurting my affiliate status. However, after doing two more streams, my average plummeted to 1.2 for the last 30 days. I don't understand, if there is an amount of time that you must maintain the 3.0 average viewers, then that should be made clear in the affiliate page describing the requirements!! What is says on the affiliate description page is that to reach affiliate, I must reach all four requirements within the same 30 day period, WHICH I DID, so i don't understand why i don't have affiliate status. please respond and tell me why i don't have affiliate or correct my status is i did reach all four requirements during that 30 day period, as your affiliate status description stats is needed for that status

affiliate is hard to get if u r a smaal stream. Affiliate gives streamers a better look of them selfs and they problaly are going to stream longer

Remove the need for average viewers for Twitch affiliate. A freely competitive market does not restrict the entry and exit of a market. This will produce maximum profitability for both twitch and it's creators. Microeconomics 101
If a viewer of mine would like to support through subscription of my services just like their 1,000+ viewer streamers they should be able to do so. Correct?

Also affiliate isn't that hard, You can get it in legit 7 days. I can get like 5 twitch channels affiliated within 1 month 😂
-
brynx7 commented
No. The path right now is good, It should even be 250 followers and 1000 minutes streamed in the last 30 days. YouTube takes a whole 6+ months to get their actually requirements.

Its hard to get those if you are just starting out and have no idea what to do. So why not have an easier way or a starting VIP status for beginners? Like Allow them to gain Subs after a certain amount of days but no emotes yet. Then gradually unlock the other things as they continue to grow with viewers.
