Make auto-generated emote prefixes match the username
The auto-generated emote prefixes for Affiliates currently stay the same, even after a user changes their username.
Instead, they should change with the username.
For example, my situation: My old username was kingdecimator, my prefix is kingde. My new username is maidvelia, so my prefix should be maidve. Instead, my prefix is still kingde.
Please fix this as some users really want to move on from their old names, and artifacts of the old name, such as this, being left behind are not a good thing for them.
Done!

Still waiting for this. Not matching the username is asinine in 2019 when people are traumatized of their deadnames and whatnot.

I COMPLETELY AGREE!!! I'm in the same boat right now. Old name was Suthernn, but new name is Ryyno. It's completely useless to allow Partners to changes theirs but not let Affiliates. Please change this!

An alternate, but kinda unnececsary idea given the aforementioned one, could be that you get one emote prefix change per annum. Therefore users cannot abuse it but also have this much needed feature.

I've been wanting this for ages now, can we get this topic the attention of twitch devs like NOW?

How user-unfriendly is Twitch to have something like this in place? Changing my name has been a hassle, what with Twitch not recycling names properly and in a timely manner... They consider it "vanity" name changing. It's not. It's branding. It's recognition. A company should know this.
Act like a professional business and stop treating users like their requests are silly/vain.
