  1. This would help people like me and others who use a mobile smart phone or tablet with touch screen help people who accidentally unfollow or follow. For example, "I unfollowed someone while watching them when I grabbed my phone, so now whenever I go back to look at my following section, he's not there." So, instead of having it so you automatically follow or unfollow, it will give a warning saying yes to follow or yes to unfollow and no to follow or no to unfollow. In my opinion, I think this is required with most of the things I…

Thank you for all your feedback! We have launched an update that will now prompt you to confirm you’d like to unfollow the channel. This currently is only available for web, but we hope to add this for mobile/tv apps at a later date.

Edit: minor correction, this is also available on mobile =)

  2. Do you know that feeling as a Streamer when u want to chill and relax and just want to watch some TV series with your viewers? But you can't, because it's against the twitch rules?

So some time ago Twitch and Amazon Prime got so much intertwined, that it would be possible to do exactly thesw chill-series-streams some streamers want.

The TV-series streams would be only visible for prime users and when a streamer switchs to this kind of stream, the non-prime users will get a screen where it says, that they can't watch the stream and need to purchase…

  3. The introduction of the Partner Plus program and its opportunity for a 70/30 revenue split is definitely a welcomed feature among creators and has had many streamers excited. However, I would love to see the requirements get another look at, specifically in regards to paid Tier 2 and Tier 3 subs.

Currently, to qualify for the Partner Plus program, streamers must hit and maintain 350 Paid Subscribers (non-gifted, non-prime) for 3 months. While I understand the reasoning behind not having gifted or Prime subs count for the requirements, I do feel like non-gifted Tier 2 and Tier 3 subs should…

Based on the feedback provided here, we’re updating our approach to calculating the 350 paid subs (now Partner Plus points) needed for program qualification. Instead of each individual paid sub counting as one sub towards your goal, Tier 2 & 3 subscriptions will now accrue 2 and 6 Partner Plus points respectively. We’re making this change to better recognize the increased support offered by your community and help you meet your goal. This change will also be applied retroactively to July and August point totals. Please find all the details here.

  4. Wish there was a way to find out a channel's founders--whether it would be only accessible to the streamer or to any viewer. One simple way would be to make a "/founders" chat command that would list all of the channel's founders just like /mods command. Another way is to create a place within Stream Manager for the streamer to have access to the list of their founders.
The subscriber list you can download as an Excel file from Channel Analytics helps, but it does not list all of the founders. If a founder is not a sub for that…

    Hey all!

Great news! Thanks to the feedback presented here we have gone ahead and added information about your Founders to your Creator Dashboard. Not only will you be able to locate all your Founders, but will also be able to see if they are currently subscribed and the date they earned their badge.

We recently updated our help article on Founders Badges with some answers to common questions. More information can be found here: https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/founders-badge

  5. After asking around, several people, myself included, believe it would be a great idea for Affiliates to have the choice to either:

Be able to receive Tier 2 and Tier 3 subscriptions, for 1 emote per tier, or,

Opt to only be able to receive Tier 1 subscriptions but have 3 emote slots.

I very much appreciate being able to receive subscriptions and having the emotes available, but it'd be great to have the option to commission artists for more work, as well as offering subscribers more in return for their support, but obviously lock it at the available 3.

Affiliates now have up to seven total emotes based on subscription points (5 Tier 1, 1 Tier 2, 1 Tier 3) =)

  6. Currently on twitch Cooperative streaming and combining communities is a widely used concept to have two streamers join together on one stream. It would be very beneficial to add support for such a workflow via creating a dashboard option to add another streamer as a co-host for the stream. This could allow users to follow both streamers if they are enjoying the content, instead of just the one who is broadcasting.

  7. We’ve heard feedback from the community that it can be difficult to understand when and why a Hype Train appears in a channel. To improve this experience, we are experimenting with a new feature that lets communities know when a Hype Train is near, and communicates how many support events, including subs, sub gifts or Bits usage, from unique users are required to kick it off. The “Hype Train is Near” notification appears in chat when the community is within one to three actions of kicking off a Hype Train, depending on the kickoff threshold set by the streamer. The…

  8. Please allow Twitch Affiliates to apply for Guild Membership. So many amazing content creators have a lot to offer to Twitch in increasing equity and participating in diverse events. Having the opportunities presented in Guild Membership limited to Partners further harms creators who have not met this goal. In understanding the necessity of Guilds, Twitch should also understand why the Partnership requirement can cause harm.

  9. We are experimenting with a new feature that adds chat animations to Hype Train level achievements. When Hype Trains are close to reaching the next level, unlockable emotes will begin to simmer up from the community highlight at the top of chat. Viewers who contributed toward the Hype Train will receive these emotes as level milestones are achieved. When a given level reaches 100%, emotes will rain down from the Hype Train animation at the top of chat to mark the moment and add to hype in the channel. Should viewers prefer a more muted experience, they can lower the…

Thank you so much for the feedback on this! The Hype Train level celebrations test is complete and now available for all Partners and Affiliates!

Like animated emotes, viewers can toggle celebrations on and off in Chat Settings.

  10. Let affiliates unlock emote slots, even if it requires more sub points

For example, at 0 sub points an affiliate has one Tier 1 emote and a partner has two
Partners need 10 sub points to unlock their third slot, so let affiliates unlock a second slot for the same amount of points.

This allows partners to still have a higher chance of receiving emote slots compared to affiliates however it gives incentive to smaller affiliate streamers to grow and also makes their subscriptions seem more appealing as the current system only offers a single Tier 1 emote which makes…

  11. The auto-generated emote prefixes for Affiliates currently stay the same, even after a user changes their username.

Instead, they should change with the username.

For example, my situation: My old username was kingdecimator, my prefix is kingde. My new username is maidvelia, so my prefix should be maidve. Instead, my prefix is still kingde.

Please fix this as some users really want to move on from their old names, and artifacts of the old name, such as this, being left behind are not a good thing for them.

  12. We're currently experimenting with persistent visibility of your sub or follower goal in an effort to encourage viewers to help meet your Creator Goals more quickly.

The goals can be found pinned on your channel page in the About section.

Please note that this experimental goal layout:
    - will only show on the web version of Twitch.
    - is available to 50% of all streamers with access to Creator Goals.

This group was randomly-selected. Like to know if you've been selected? Please follow the link to your Creator Dashboard (https://link.twitch.tv/MyCreatorGoals) and set up a goal today!

    Hey everybody,
This Creator Goals feature is now fully live for everyone. We appreciate your feedback during the experiment phase and are happy to let you know that we have added in the ability to persistently display BOTH follower and sub goals simultaneously! We recommend that you enable Creator Goals today to help grow your channel. Thanks again! For any future feedback, please feel free to leave it under Creators and Stream Features > Creator Goals.

  13. Currently in order to view the watch party you have to view it in a tab separate from the dashboard. If you wanted to run a poll of the viewers as to what to watch next you would have to leave the watch tab to go back to the dashboard and set up the poll from there. If we are not able to view the watch party in the dashboard could we add a poll creation button on the watch party page for the host?

Thanks for reaching out with your suggestion. At this point, you’ll need to create a poll in your Stream Manager.

However, if you have Channel Moderators or Editors, they can create and manage a Poll through the /poll command in chat which will bring up the Poll module. Channel Moderators and Editors can also end and delete polls with /endpoll and /deletepoll respectively.

  14. It would be great if we could have the choice of WHERE to start the Sub Goal (not only at "existing current subs," but also the option of a start number that we choose, from zero TO existing current subs.)

    Reasons could include:
    - starting at zero can be a more impactful start, as the community can watch the goal visibly progress from nothing
    - all creators may not want to, or be comfortable with, showing their full current sub count on screen
    - goal start numbers could be customised along with the end goal numbers to go along with…

You can accomplish this by picking New Subs for the Sub Count when setting up your goal. Thank you.

  15. Currently when selecting Start Watch Party on the Stream Manager you need to scroll through all of the available content. Having the ability to search for available content or even categories would be really helpful. IE: instead of having to scroll to find Iron Man 2 it would be great to be able type "Iron Man" Or "Marvel" into a search bar and have it show you all related content on that search.

Good news! We’ve added a search function to the content selector within Watch Parties. We recommend browsing the full catalog on Amazon.com to find what you want to watch, then using the search function.

  16. grab a few Affiliates for testing Watch Parties also, not only partners. Such opportunities could show how much a channel can grow with such a great and new feature. Partners have a established community, affiliates are still building theirs, so adding a few into beta would give greater insight in effectiveness of this feature.

  18. The title says it all.

Keeping content exclusive to one platform is a bad idea. This has already proven to be detrimental to the health of Twitch's ecosystem as a whole, allowing competitors a chance to differentiate and flourish to attract streamers, whether they are new or established here or elsewhere, hurting the Twitch community as a whole.

Twitch heads, do yourselves and all of us a favor. Go into the Affiliate and Partner Agreements and amend them to get rid of the exclusivity clause. It's time to stop strangleholding your streamers that make you millions and let them grow…

  19. Twitch Drops are flooding the chat for busy channels making it impossible to follow at times.

If the notifications were sent only to the specific viewer receiving it, it would help enormously, either via the chat channel or a separate message dialogue over the video - anywhere but the chat panel !

  20. Many - if not most - of us who are not affiliates nor partners stream strictly for fun - we do not make any money doing so, and that's alright.

With that, please permit us to simulcast or tell us how to obtain "written permission," as outlined in the terms of service.

    Thank you.
