Get a warning to follow and unfollow someone.
This would help people like me and others who use a mobile smart phone or tablet with touch screen help people who accidentally unfollow or follow. For example, "I unfollowed someone while watching them when I grabbed my phone, so now whenever I go back to look at my following section, he's not there." So, instead of having it so you automatically follow or unfollow, it will give a warning saying yes to follow or yes to unfollow and no to follow or no to unfollow. In my opinion, I think this is required with most of the things I have used that give warnings.
+1 Please add this im fcking ripped..
can you plz add my followage back to sc slayerage on twitch plz
i was followed since he started streaming 4 years ago
This, please implement!
So the follow/unfollow button is a simple click and it's done. Which seems nice, but accidental clicks happen, probably more likely when a window is in the background and you missclick. This can lead to accidental unfollows and follows, the former being what people probably want to avoid most. Whether it's because they don't want to miss out on their favorite streamer if they didn't realize they unfollowed, or have some sense of pride in how long they've been following(using bots to check "followage").
My suggestion would be to add an unfollow confirmation prompt that pops up upon an unfollow, and possibly only if you've been following for longer than a set amount of time, say 24 hours. This would prevent any aggravation it could cause for an accidental follow as well.
Can't figure out how to vote but I definitely agree with this
Yep, so frustrating. I missclicked and lost a 3 year followage by accident...
I was just watching a clip and have now unfollowed and lost my followage for the streamer because I stupidly thought the heart was a "Like" clip button, no it's a UNFOLLOW button.....
YES, PLEASE DONT RESET ......
I had been following a streamer for 7 years ......
ya i had been following a streamer for like 2 years as well
and like lost it all wouldve been close to 3 now
ive had this ahppen a couple of times we need a comfirmation pop up for sure!!! PLEASE idk why this isnt a thing period....
I agree. A tool to see the first follow date would be much more useful
CAN YOU PLEASE JUST MAKE FOLLOW BUTTON A LITTLE HARDER TO GET TO IN TWITCH.TV, SOME PEOPLE FOLLOW FOR MONTHS AND ACCIDENTLY PRESS IT AND LOOSE THE FOLLOW AGE IF ITS CONNECTED TO NIGHTBOT WHICH COUNTS THE FOLLOWAGE, or atleast add a confirmation like "are you sure you want to unfollow" i just lost 16 months plz do something, thank you <3
I just accidentally unfollowed a Streamer I had been following for over two years while watching a recorded video of him because it had a heart icon so I thought it meant we had a way of adding clips to our favorites or something. I re-followed a few seconds later but of course, the damage is already done. :(
Just unfollowed my favorite streamer and best friend while going through his clips. It means a lot to me for how long I've known him. Sucks I can't see it anymore. Please implement this idea, Twitch.
Alternatively, at the verrrrrrrrrry least, please give us some sort of "are you sure?" message before you let us unfollow someone.
It sucks to lose years of followage with a simple misclick. Definitely shouldn't lose followage if you follow again minutes later.
Yes please.. make the followage count from the first time not last time... is there any way to bring back a followage to a channel?..
yes pleaaaaaaaase add first follow date !!
I agree with this because I don't know what happened exactly but I guess I accidentally unfollowed a good friend who I had been following for about 3 years and it sucks to see that 3 years of follow time go down to a few days... It is truly a sad moment and I want followage to be based on the first time you followed rather than the last
I lost my follow when i missclick, ands it's hard for me because it's my boyfriend. I hope u make this twitch...Really.
Many people lost their followage when they misclick the unfollow button
