  1. Since the host feature was taking away we also lost the ability for people to know who you have raided because you are no longer hosting the channel.

So now since this feature was taken its seems that when you raid out people are stuck in the chat when everyone else was sent with the raid.

Can this be fixed people want to stay for the raid and go to the next streamer!!!

  2. Now that Hosting is no more, when a streamer raids someone, you should show a notification on their offline channel who they raided, as long as that raid target is still streaming.

I thought that they would be displayed in the "offline carousel" but that doesn't seem to be happening, if that was the intent.

Regardless, there should be an explicit notification of where to go if you missed a raid.

  3. The request is to give Twitch viewers an account option (intended for Broadcasters and their moderators to use while browsing) which allows you to see/Display and Filter your searches for other streams on "Channel raidability" information from the regular Directory pages on Twitch while browsing and searching for streams based on various combinations of Tags and Game category.

Also expand the /streams API endpoint to indicate whether Live streams' allow raids by the specified broadcaster, And if so.. what the minimum and maximum number of viewers are and what their restriction options are in order to raid.

    Basically provide a…

  4. Have an option for recommended channels to raid.

Reduces raid search time. Increases algorithm connections for possible stronger community.

  5. once a raid is initiated by the streamer any streamers planning to raid in should be given a notification that the current stream they want to raid into is in the process of raiding another streamer.

this would help with instances of when someone raids into a stream that has already raided out leaving them in an empty chat.

possible solution: having a notification pop-up letting Streamer B know that Streamer A is currently in the process of raiding another person. accompanied with a button allowing Streamer B to "cancel raid" or "join the raid", which would let them group…

  6. Would be nicer if the button could give an reason for the "Raid Stop" button

Like "This channel closed the raid due is ending the stream" because is a bit ankward to raid a person and the answer be the generic "raid settings do not allow you to raid at this time".

The raider could think this channel doesn't want ANY raid at all and never come back ever.

  7. This was a feature Broken by removal of the Host command: If you missed the outgoing raid as a viewer you could see where the raid went and join in, and the Offline streamer would remain in host mode, so we can clearly find the name of the raided channel: Providing a persistent Redirect instead of a one-time redirect to the raided channel.

Please repair/restore the functionality of allowing the Offline streamer to provide a persistent redirect To a channel and make it so we can see when joining the chat which channel the streamer last raided from the Offline…

  8. It seems since the Host feature was removed yesterday, I am unable to raid to another streamer for the 2nd day in a row. Any idea on if the Raid feature will be operational soon or what for us small streamers?

  9. until now when a streamer raided a channel it would be hosted too, so if you arrived late or the raid failed for you(happens every time on mobile when watching/listening in the background) you could hit the join button on the hosted channel.
with hosted channels, this is now gone.
the hosting system is reduced to just suggested channels.

if a raid fails or if your arrive late to a stream there is now no way to even see who got raided and no way to join in unless you happen to remember the exact name of who got raided.

  10. In the Creator Dashboard create a setting that allows the incoming Raid chat accouchement to be Broadcaster/Mod View only, or auto replaced by a /Shoutout prompt.

If you are a Broadcaster, who has no Raid limits set (because that choice is anti-Discoverability for a growing channel) then there should be other safeguard options in place to help with 1-10 viewer Raids which may entirely be coming from Offline channels.

So, to help with excessive chat spam and keep chat focused on it own conversation flow, there should be an option to mark Twitch genenerated chat messages as Broadcaster/Mod view only.…

  11. I would like an option that "Turns Off" the showing of how many Raiders have been brought in

I feel like putting a number of viewers to a Raid diminishes the Gesture.

Raiding someone with your community is an incredible gesture, with 10 or 10000 raiders. Having the option of turning off the display of how many Raiders are brought in would reinforce the strength of the gesture

Also, in some occasions ppl can be "embarrassed" to Raid if they feel their community aren't big enough

Perhaps we could have it set up where it shows the viewer in the…

  13. Streamers should only be able to raid other Streamers with fewer followers.

This should help boost smaller streamers, allow them a chance to gain more attention and the possibility to get new followers.

Discoverability on Twitch is terrible, I think this feature would certainly help smaller streamers.

I always see really small streamers who raid a streamer thats much larger than them and it doesn't help the large streamer, or the small streamer grow their channels.

  14. As some of you may have heard on Patch Notes, we're excited to announce the upcoming launch of new settings that will allow Creators to have additional customization over how they receive incoming raids. Here are the key features and changes you'll see upcoming in September:

    • Tailor the min/max thresholds for viewers, based on your needs! If you have missed 1-3 viewer raids, you can now opt to see those notifications again!
    • Set up requirements based on (1) account age and/or (2) channel type. For example, you can choose to only allow raids from accounts you follow, etc.
    • Additionally, you…

  15. I think this happens because the viewer is say 5 seconds behind the live stream, but when the streamer starts the raid, it switches channel immediately, before their stream finishes.

The result is: The viewer doesn't hear what the original streamer says at the end of their stream. It jumps to the raid before they have finished saying goodbye!

For a smoother viewing experience, I suggest delaying the viewer's switch to the raided channel, to account for their delay, so they get to see the end of the original stream.

(This won't really affect the arrival, since raided channels don't…

  16. To help channels with moderation and engaging viewers sent by another stream:

I propose that the /raid and /host commands accept a short Optional text after it to indicate their raid or host message, and a special chat badge be granted to visiting chatters for a limited period of time (5-10 minutes) who come in after a host or raid from another channel they were watching, and Mouse hover-text over the raid badge and an IRC Tag visible to moderation bots be added to the raiders' chat messages indicating which raiding channel a user last came in from.

    The badge…

  17. Seeing how raiding is slowly becoming more prevalent than hosting, I would like to see a Raid button added to each creator's channel, much like there is a Host button in place. Currently, if a streamer wants to start a Raid on another channel, that streamer has to do it from his/her own channel/dashboard page, and there's no way to know what the recipient is actively doing unless the streamer pulls up the recipient's page. It would be nice to be able to pull up the recipient's page and click a single button to start the raid countdown (clicking twice,…

  18. What if @twitch communities could “Air Drop” Bits, Gift Subs, Donations etc. during a raid?

A Streamer starts a raid & a timer begins & the viewers from the channel raiding “Fill the Air Drop” (A Crate/Giftbox etc.) & AFTER the raid begins but BEFORE the support drops, Twitch sends an alert to the top of the chat of channel being raided indicating ”Air Drop Incoming!” w/ a countdown timer & pic/gif of the Crate/Giftbox w/ a parachute attached to it & when the countdown hits 0, ALL that support drops into the chat of the (small 🥺) channel being…
