Followed channel title preview persists after moving cursor out of window, blocking video
When moving the mouse cursor off the left side of a window, if it happens to pass over the icon of a live stream, it will bring up a floating window showing a preview of that stream's title, category, and number of viewers.
This is useful information, and used to persist only when the cursor was hovering the stream icon; now it persists when the cursor has moved out of the window.
This is a problem for people who run Twitch on a monitor on the right, and other apps on a monitor on the left. The mouse cursor will tend to leave the window via the left side, which means the preview will persist permanently until the user puts the cursor back within the bounds of the window, clicks somewhere, then moves the cursor up and to the left, over the top of the followed channels section. This is cumbersome and annoying.
I have tried this in both Firefox and Brave browsers. It happens in both. This was not the case two days ago. I do not see how this change is beneficial, and it is certainly detrimental for any users as described above.
Finally, years ago, the rollover behavior used to expand the section on the left, enabling you to be able to see category + title of all followed streams, which was a superior behavior. If Twitch wants to change the behavior on mouseover, it should revert to that behavior, instead of this current persistent floating window, as all it does is block video and make use more cumbersome.
This is what the current behavior looks like: https://imgur.com/4oJPjMD

A change several days ago seems to have fixed this, thanks.

This needs a fix. It can't be hard to fix. It worked forever, now it doesn't. Just put it back to how it was. This is not better for anyone.
