Feature Proposal: Clip Editing Tools with Auto Subtitles & Branding
Description:
Add built-in tools to Twitch’s clip system that allow streamers to easily enhance and personalize their content before it gets shared. These tools would include:
Automatic subtitle generation (in various languages, including Polish) for clips made by viewers or the streamer.
Custom watermark/logo placement to keep creator branding visible on every clip.
Simple editing options such as trimming, rearranging clip segments, adding quick intros/outros, or inserting overlays (e.g. social handles).
Highlight templates for quick assembly of multiple clips into one short video (e.g. "Top 3 Moments" or "Funny Fails").
Why It Makes Sense:
Accessibility: Subtitles help reach wider audiences, especially those watching without sound or who speak different languages.
Brand Visibility: Logo watermarks help protect content from being shared without credit and reinforce the creator’s identity.
Content Repurposing: Creators can easily turn live moments into polished short-form content for platforms like YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram.
Professional Look: Built-in templates and editing tools make clips look high-quality, even without advanced video editing skills.
More Shareable Clips: Quick editing and subtitles make clips more engaging, leading to better reach and discoverability.
This would give creators more control over how their content is presented and help them grow across multiple platforms—all without needing external software.
