  1. Hello,

I am located in France and I am unable to watch certain Twitch streams because of a regional restriction. Twitch Support told me that viewer access may vary depending on local laws and regulations, and that some viewers may need to log in and confirm their age before watching labeled content.

However, I do not know which restriction applies to my account, which content labels are affected, or how to complete age verification if it is required.

Please provide a clear explanation for viewers in France:

Which streams or content labels are restricted?

Is age verification available for French…

  2. I'm unsure as to why it was removed from the public viewing in the first place. But I feel as if it should be brought back so people can see it again. It was a big and staple part of many communities. It's been a feature for so long it feels not right having the ability to check how long I've been following someone not there anymore. Speaking from experience I have bad memory issues, so having the public follow age let me remember how long I was following a streamer for, it was nice getting to do that! Not…

  3. Follow age has and always will be a great feature for moderation, and for also helping new chatters understand the community better. Removing the feature entirely makes chatrooms more anonymous and removes a sense of history from each person, other than just seeing how long they've subscribed. Removing this feature has just made Twitch feel more impermanent without a sense of longevity to communities!

  4. Currently, if a streamer goes live for just over 10 minutes and abruptly shuts down (due to an internet crash, power outage, or emergency), Twitch registers it as an official broadcast. This immediately puts the entire community's Stream Streak at risk.

More often than not, it is impossible to save a 50 or 100+ Stream Streak in these scenarios because:

    1) The stream was too short for viewers to manually generate clips.

    2) The sudden crash prevented the VOD from publishing or processing correctly.

Twitch tells you your streak is in danger, but provides zero eligible content to save it.…

  5. The system to flag copyrighted audio causes clips to fail to be created even when the audio is just from a game being played. The VOD isn't even muted!!!

  6. Usernames are a hard thing to think of, especially when you think of it, and someone has it. I would personally love to have ImJace or even Jace, but I can't because they're already claimed, and when I search for them, they don't appear. My proposal is to add it so that you can claim the name if the account is banned/unused. You could go about this by adding a timer, of something like 3 years, of inactivity, and it warns them of course, but if they don't login or reply to it, it makes the name available. Another way…

  7. When viewing a video that isn't live, if currently playing a portion that has muted auto, overlay a button (similar to YouTube's button that skips ads) that allows you to skip forward to when audio resumes.

  9. Twitch Clips should behave more like modern short-form video while making better use of Twitch's unique live context.

The current clip should loop instead of automatically moving to the next one, viewers should be able to seek backward and forward, and the empty space around landscape clips should be used to show the clip title and the live chat from that moment.

    Problem

The current Clips viewer still feels less natural than platforms such as YouTube Shorts and TikTok.

Viewers cannot easily move backward or forward within a clip, and when a clip finishes, Twitch automatically moves to the next…

  10. Problem

Discovering new live streamers currently requires viewers to actively browse through categories, recommendations, and thumbnails and decide which stream to open.

Sometimes I don't want to choose a specific streamer. I just want to casually discover live streams and see what is happening on Twitch right now.

    Example / Inspiration

This idea is inspired by a feature from Niconico Live called "Niconico Cruise."

In that feature, viewers could automatically move through different live streams and watch each one for a short period. If they found a stream they liked, they could leave the cruise and continue watching that streamer…

  11. Dear Twitch Team,

Please add an "Automatic" or "System" theme option that allows the Twitch website to automatically sync with the user's OS preference (e.g., macOS/Safari system-wide Light or Dark Mode).

    Current Problem:
Currently, users have to manually toggle between Light and Dark Mode on the Twitch website. It does not automatically adapt when the operating system switches themes (such as switching to Dark Mode at sunset).

    Proposed Solution:
Add a third option under the Appearance settings—"Match System Settings"—alongside the existing Light and Dark toggles. Many other major platforms (like YouTube and Reddit) already support this feature, making the browsing…

  12. Summary:

Twitch should introduce a live sorting filter or category for the Speedrunning community that highlights streamers who are currently on pace to break a World Record (WR).

    How it would work:
Most speedrunners use open-source timer software like LiveSplit, which already utilizes public APIs and extensions to broadcast live split data. Twitch could integrate with these existing data streams to detect when a runner is "in the green" (ahead of the current world record time) during the final splits of a run.

When a runner enters a high-probability WR pace, a visual indicator (like a glowing icon or a…

  13. As a streamer, I would love to have a feature to reset or manage Channel Points for specific users, especially when they unfollow the channel.Currently, when a viewer unfollows, they keep all their earned Channel Points. If they return later, they can instantly redeem expensive rewards, which can sometimes be used to disrupt the stream or bypass the community structure. Right now, the only way to clear someone's points is a permanent ban.It would be incredibly helpful to have:An automatic option to reset Channel Points after a user has unfollowed for a certain amount of time (e.g., 30 days).A manual…

  14. We have the option to show our display name, however as I just learned it can only be changed every 60 days.

I have been hanging out in Japanese streams lately, and my name was a bit tricky to pronounce so I wrote it in Katakana, no prob... but now English streamers at times have trouble trying to "@" me, so I thought I'd just flip my name back temporarily while I was hanging out in some English streams. Now I want to flip it back and I'm being told I have to wait 60 days to make another change…

  15. i wish your payouts would count so long as you reach the treshhold before the 12th, what is the point of doing calculations on the 12th if everything between the 1st and 11th only count for the next month over? maybe either change the date of the calculations OR allow us our payouts so long as the treshhold is met before the 12th

  16. As everyone knows, Twitch is rolling out with AI features and is trying to train itself using content that their own creators to enhance it. There is already an opt-out option for some of it under "Security and Privacy Settings" in the creator dashboard. It's automatically on by default, and many Twitch creators has already disabled it. However, looking further into the Twitch Privacy Notice and the FAQs, this opt-out does NOT mean that creators are already out of this abrasive policy.

According to the FAQ (https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/twitch-account-settings#FAQ); the opt-out does not cover everything AI. It does allow for…

  17. All my official emails from the Twitch email address are in French. Alex from your customer support told me to post this here because hardly anyone reaches out and its considered a "very low inbound item" that doesn't have a fix because not enough people reach out about it. Alex also informed me that customer service has only been educated to inform users that their settings "should change eventually". Which is frankly, insane.

  18. Twitch.tv, recently implemented an automatic 'opt-in' feature where all user-generated content on the platform is used to train Amazon's AI models. This includes live streams, clips, chat messages, and voice data.

Users are required to manually 'opt-out' of this feature; otherwise, it remains enabled by default. I strongly believe this practice violates the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its core principles. Under GDPR, processing personal data, which includes biometric data like voices and faces, as well as identifiable chat logs, requires explicit, informed, and unambiguous consent. An automatic opt-in default fails to meet the legal standard for consent.…

  19. Section 7, Final paragraph, first line "Twitch reserves the right to deactivate any user from any Twitch Services for any reason or no reason. "

Twitch.tv can't be serious, and can't hope to have success with this in the US where it is based. Outrageous!

AND, hidden behind little links, away from the accept button, that's FORCED onto your twitch browser experience, blocking you from chatting unless you accept!!

This strikes me as a violation of the US constitution, which, as the company is based there would be illegal practices to publish or enforce.

A reason MUST be given and…

  20. Hello, Since the recent introduction of the "Load More" button in Twitch drops inventory, drops in some games have started deleting after a stream (they're supposed to last 7 days). Even if I take them into my inventory, they don't appear in the game. Because they're DELETED on Twitch and don't even show up in "Closed Drop Campaigns." They should be there after the stream ends, but they're not—they're simply deleted. This has been observed in Rainbow Six Siege and Standoff 2.
Twitch support ignores this and makes the user look stupid, claiming it's their fault, not a Twitch bug.…
