Raids [beta] sends all raids even raids that don't appear in chat The raids beta topic, sends raids that don't appear in chat via the IRC raid USERNOTICE
Please either
- extend the payload to mark if a raid appears in chat or not
or
- provide a condition to ignore/include/only be "non chat raids"
or
- all of the above
Please do not remove non chat raids, as developers/streamers would like flexibility on what to actually notify for/collect data on.
Regardless of any limitations Twitch puts in place on what appears in chat.
Would also like to collect it for statistical purposes/reporting on small/large raids for a given stream.
There may also be an…

Copy Hype train Begin/Progress/End for outbound raids Add three topics
- Raid Begin, a channel started a /raid
- Raid progress, the number of users in the raid changed (sensibly capped so not too spammy on the webhook, but if socket, more spammy perhaps)
- Raid End, raid completed or was cancelled.

Add "Channel title" ingredient to IFTTT (If That Then This) Would be nice to if the Twitch service over at IFTTT had the channel title as an ingredient to be used.
This would enable a huge range of services to utilize the channel title for marketing purposes.
Zapier has this, but not IFTTT.

EventSub subscriptions are missing the optional "after" parameter for pagination There is no explanation on how to use the pagination cursor for EventSub subscription GET requests.
Apparently the cursor can be appended in a request as the "after" parameter, but I feel this should be stated in the optional query parameters, as is the case in the Twitch API reference (e.g. https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#get-extension-analytics).1 vote -
Custom Channel Drops It would be a nice addition to let streamers have their customizable drops in their channel. For example, if I'm a game developer and I have 100 keys of my game to give away to my viewers, I could enable them through channel drops, and have them raffled between my viewers that way.
For digital content, such as a game key, it could be configured as a preset text that will be sent to each winner, so they instantly get the drop.
For non digital or harder to redeem content, it could be stored in a drop queue, like the…

Allow Embedding Clip Editor Allow us to embed the clip editor.
I have a personal site that I used to list and view all of my clips that I make during a stream. I also have functions for tagging my clips for easier searching, and other implementations.
Currently, I have to link to the edit page, to edit the clip to the desired length and position. Then, go back to my site to embed the clip player, where I have my extra functionality. My desired work flow would be to just embed the edit page, so that I could use my page's tagging functions…

Extend heix subscribers or provide another endpoint for Lifetime Subscriber data This guide descibes how Partners can assign someone a lifetime sub that doesn't count to rev of points
https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/lifetime-subscriber-guide-for-partners
The API doesn't present any information as to who is a lifetime sub or not.
So we cannot guestimate sub points (or revenue if we are building revenue reporting tools for streamers we work with) from the API as we don't know who is a lifetime sub or not. Please provide an API endpoint that lists these subs, which would be "cheaper" than a boolean flag added to the subscribers endpoint

Subscriber upgrades IRC has a number of "upgrade" events
giftpaidupgrade / anongiftpaidupgrade and one related to "prime to real" that I don't have the tag/msg-id for
A "subscriber upgrades" topic would be useful, if this doesn't fall under "sub notifications" - https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310213-developers/suggestions/42008104-please-provide-an-event-sub-that-emits-sub-notifi
I could see a benifit to having this as a seperate topic, or tied into the "notifications" topic

Documentation and API response inconsistence I guess I have found a bug in the Twitch EventSub documentation, the actual sort order of event attributes doesn't seem to be the way they are documented.
The last two attributes of the Channel Points Custom Reward Redemption Add Event (https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/eventsub/eventsub-reference#events) are according to the documentation
reward
andredeemet_at
whereas the API returns it asredeemet_at
andreward
. Either way the documentation is wrong or the API is wrong. It would be great for further development with the EventSub if this could be fixed.
Thanks a lot and kind regards

Add bet support to API (For Streamer AND Viewer) CRUD for bet as streamer
CRUD for bet as viewerAs streamer:
- Being able to start/cancel a bet from endpoint
- Being able to state who won from endpoint
- Maybe get stats about the bet (invested coins, status, nb of participant, ...) (as Events or/and as HTTP API)
As viewer:
- Receive an Event when there is a new bet
- Get bet info using endpoint (remaining time, title, bet A, bet B, nb of people who bet)
- Place a bet using endpoint
- Event win or lose4 votes -
React UI kit for developing extensions It'll be helpful and also maintain a straight UI to have a Twitch React UI Framework, so we can include it on our extensions.
For example Uber has https://baseweb.design/ so you can develop websites with (almost) the same UI as Uber.

Fix the visibility of Twitch extensions You get free tools to differentiate your platform. Passionate developers try their best to make amazing products, how hard is it so difficult to make their products visible for streamers?
Multiple suggestions:
- a monthly highlight message on twitch twitter (put the spotlight on a great extension)
- improve the extension dashboard by removing the top categories based on their function. This should NOT be a standard to get the top spot.
- let developers upload videos/trailers on the extension page.
- make a simple checkbox, that allows developers to send updates (email, chat notification) to streamers that opt-in for updates. (how do developers…

Add functionality to create drops based on an extension, rather than just per game Some extensions would benefit from drops such as being able to award in-extension items or coins, based on view time, and would be a great way to promote usage of extensions, especially non-game specific extensions, that could be tied into an existing drops campaign if the game developer makes the extension themselves. If you have a variety streamer extension that runs on every game, then we don't get the benefit of the draw of drops.
1 voteI’m going to mark this as a long-term consideration as this is not currently being investigating, but may be something to consider in the future. The Drops product today is tied to a Twitch category and to provide similar functionality for Extensions would most likely be a different implementation that would require time to investigate.

Extension Analytics "renders by language" If an extension doesn't have an EBS (or it's not needed) or doesn't pass the language string up to the EBS.
There is no way for extension developers to collect usage/render by language.
Please provide a report that outputs a breakdown by user/render by language.
This will allow extension developers to determine if translations are needed and what languages to translate to

Get Active Extension Version info In order to send a chat message via https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/extensions/reference/#send-extension-chat-message you need to know the current active version of your extension. There's no way to retrieve information about your extensions' versions.
There's one way which is kind of roundabout, by first using
/extensions/${CLIENT_ID}/live_activated_channels
to get a list of users, then using/helix/users/extensions/list
on one to find the extension again and get its version there. This could be much quicker to find if
live_activated_channels
had aversion
field with the live extension version (it only ever returns a list of channels using the live version). There could also be a
/extensions/${CLIENT_ID}/versions

Fix the example GitHub repo to better correlate to the documentation on this page Provide a link to the referenced branch associated with each step.
There are no branches for steps 3 and 4. The existing branches don't correlate to the code presented for each step on this page.
And there's messy commented out code in all of the files on GitHub.Also, 4 steps are explained, and then the last sentence in this doc mentions the Step 1 branch
