include all streamers who avidly stream a game to the events such as drops it would be nice to include all streamers who have been using the gametes daily as oppose to those who don't even stream getting chosen to have drops of say like eft
I have someone who is awesome at the game no drops, someone who has played the game 2x or more lower skill level but high viewership with drops seems unequal

Fix the twitch-cli event verification test I setup everything correctly on my end and tried to test the verification and the twitch-cli respons with this unhelpful error:
✗ Invalid content-type header. Received type
text/plain doesn't work, text/html doesn't work, application/json doesn't work. No Content-Type value I can think of works.
Why is there a restriction on the Content-Type that is kept an absolute mystery?

Extend automod endpoint to report if a user is suspicious The AutoMod API lets you test/validate text
Extend the AutoMod API to test a username/userID so a user passed in from tip/extension platforms can be tested to see if should be flagged/skipped/held for manual moderation

Create/Update/Remove a running goal Would be useful to create/update/remove a running goal.
To update/change the target whilst one is running if we get a surprise spike in subs
Or to easily be able to auto start a new goal if the first goal is completed.8 votes -
Provide a `gift_event_id` in the channel.subscribe topic Scenario:
A viewer comes in and gifts 10 subs to the community; This fires off in theory 11 events. One event is thechannel.subscribe.gift
, while the other 10 are the individualchannel.subscribe
for the 10 users.Request:
Thechannel.subscribe.gift
has an id associated with its emission. Something that would benefit reactionary data would be each of the individualchannel.subscribe
events having agift_event_id
. If the sub was a gift, set the id to thechannel.subscribe.gift
event id.Use Cases:
- A developer could choose to listen to the batched gift amount and react to that single event, then…14 votesWe are looking into this. Thanks for the request!

SDK CLI access The route 66 SDK for Unity and Unreal engine should have a proper way of testing the active subscriptions and events.
For example using the Twitch CLI mock-api as the server by changing the server the SDK tries to access.

Include "total" field for Get Videos, as with Kraken previously Previously a call to "https://api.twitch.tv/kraken/channels/123456/videos" included "_total" (The total number of videos).
This was removed in Helix.
As a replacement, you need to iterate through every 100 videos for a channel and count manually. This results in thousands of extra API calls.2 votes -
Get last clip It would be important to get the latest clip of a channel, with the link, title, category and description.

Add Delete Subscriptions by Broadcaster ID Add a broadcaster ID to the https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#delete-eventsub-subscription endpoint so we can do a simple API call when we get a user authorization revoke to be able to clean up all eventsub subscriptions for that broadcaster.

Allow for an event to occur once an embedded clip has ended I was thinking that some kind of listener in embedded clips that would run a function once the clip had ended.
For example, in my case, I wanted to run an array of clips one after in an iframe (HTML). Within twitch's API there is no way to do this and I think it would be very beneficial to twitch developers to have an ".onEnded()" function in some way for embeded clips.

Trigger user.update when a user changes their profile picture At present changing your profile picture doesn't trigger the user.update event. This means to keep an up to date url for each users profile picture you must periodically poll every user with the API to check their profile picture.

Add Native OAUTH RFC Implementation Add support for RFC8252 (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc8252#section-7.1) which allows for users to specify custom scheme URI's for OAUTH callback urls. This would allow native application developers to not have to piggyback through a server and instead they can configure their applications to handle these schemes for confirming the oauth callback, for example
my-app-name:/authorization?code=XXXXX

Add Support for Channel Points Community Challenges Add support to access/query and maybe even create/edit/delete community challenges.
For example to unlock a big "something" in a game, when the community goal has been reached.

API Endpoint /getUserStats We should have an API endpoint like
/getUserStats
or something, that returns all their stats, like followers, view count, subscribers, total streams, etc.1 vote -
Add "ended_at" in /helix/videos for finished streams Currently, there’s no way to separate between live streams and past broadcasts.

Fix misleading example using CLI to test EventSub handler The example for using the CLI to test your handler shows a secret that looks like a 32-byte hexadecimal string. Actually the CLI interprets it as an ASCII string, so the example is actually passing a 64-byte string for the secret. I found this very misleading and it took me a bit of time to figure out why my code was not computing the correct HMAC until I realized that the format the CLI expects is ASCII string not hexadecimal string.

Provide Title and Game information with stream.online Other than knowing someone is online, there is still a need to utilize the API for getting related information about a stream.
It would be nice to have an all-in-one "here's everything about this stream going live" instead of requiring additional calls (especially if there's a possibility of caching delays).
Something along the lines of the data provided for channel.update would be nice

API Endpoint for searching tags by names Currently, you can use https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#get-all-stream-tags to get all tags, and then manually iterate through to find tags with given names, but this can be slow (2-3 seconds to search for 8 tags in my test using twurple). It would be better to have an endpoint similar to https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#get-games, which allows for a name query parameter. Of course, for tags, this would require also including a language parameter for the IETF language tag.
