Allow self-signed certificates for development
Currently, trying to access a development server with a self-signed certificate gives a "x509: certificate signed by unknown authority" error.
Being able to use development servers that are not on localhost (e.g. example.lan), would be really helpful when it comes to testing EventSub events.
Thanks.

When working on development projects, it is often necessary to allow self-signed certificates so developers can test applications securely without requiring a trusted certificate authority. This is usually done by configuring the development environment or browser to accept the certificate, importing it into the trusted root store, or adjusting SSL/TLS settings in local servers. While this should only be done in development and never in production, it provides a safe way to simulate secure communication for testing purposes. For example, if you are building or testing a service like psa online appointment here https://psaonlineappointment.org/, enabling self-signed certificates during development ensures encrypted connections while keeping the workflow flexible and cost-effective.
