  2. API endpoints should be implemented within the moderation:read or channel:moderate scope (not sure which would be the better fit) for the info present in the /user panel in mod view.

I imagine it would work very similarly to /helix/moderation/banned/events but with two major differences:
    • broadcaster_id would not require matching the user_id in the auth token; it would just need to match a broadcaster_id that the user is a moderator for.
    • user_id in the API call becomes a required parameter to keep it in line with how the /user panel works today

This should result in allowing applications to…

  3. The Search Categories API doesn't seem to apply any "relevance" and direct matches are not often the first result.

    https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#search-categories

    Please apply relevance sorting.

  4. Via IRC we can get emotes in message shared with cheer for clean the message for use via TTS or showing message with image for replace emote.

I think you have to add this field in this event because we already have message shared but can't parse it.

  6. The page at

    https://dashboard.twitch.tv/u/barrycarlyon/community/channel-points/rewards

    Will list all rewards.

But it's not super obvious which rewards "I made" or which rewards "an API call" made.

So in theory a streamer not paying attention could delete an integration created reward.

I'm not saying "remove" the delete button, just add additional wording

  7. It would be nice to have a "next" or "continue" button. It is confusing to navigate after reading "what are we going to build", I wasn't sure where this building was going to happen.

  8. instead of using a custom number for bets we should also be able to enter i.e. 20% to easily bet 20% of my channelpoints. also your new ad system sucks. just implement a little banner instead of fullscreen minutelong ads. i know you need the money but imagine a content creator does the most amazing joke ever but you miss it because of an ad.

  9. You get free tools to differentiate your platform. Passionate developers try their best to make amazing products, how hard is it so difficult to make their products visible for streamers?

    Multiple suggestions:

    • a monthly highlight message on twitch twitter (put the spotlight on a great extension)
    • improve the extension dashboard by removing the top categories based on their function. This should NOT be a standard to get the top spot.
    • let developers upload videos/trailers on the extension page.
    • make a simple checkbox, that allows developers to send updates (email, chat notification) to streamers that opt-in for updates. (how do developers…

  11. If an extension doesn't have an EBS (or it's not needed) or doesn't pass the language string up to the EBS.

There is no way for extension developers to collect usage/render by language.

Please provide a report that outputs a breakdown by user/render by language.

This will allow extension developers to determine if translations are needed and what languages to translate to

  12. Please provide an API that provides

    • what program is being watched
    • What season/episode it is
    • Episode/program title
    • Cast information
    • When started
    • Link to the program on amazon (it's ASIN/whatever)

Information should be provide by broadcaster_id filter as a API
Sent out as a webhook (watchparty started, watchparty ended)
Provided as a PubSub event (started/ended/progress events?)

PubSub and webhook should also provide information about a Watch party about to start

The watch party player does a countdown to show start, so that should be replicatable.

People whom are not amazon prime members, or do not have that program available to them…

  14. This tutorial looks very unprofessional.

The example GitHub repository is not available from an official Twitch source, but lives in someone's personal
    account at:
    https://github.com/sonia145

These GitHub organizations would be better alternatives:
    https://github.com/twitchtv
    https://github.com/twitchdev

  15. Currently the only way to fetch this information is via a semi-undocumented endpoint. Given Twitch's past record on these endpoints, I don't want to rely on them as by my experience they have a tendency to suddenly disappear. For this reason, I'm asking for this information to be added to the Helix API.

  16. The Get Videos API presents the duration as a string, example: "3h8m33s"

Please add an additional key of "duration_seconds" of the time of the video in seconds.

  18. It's as the title suggests.
When I embed a chat and include the parent parameter then that streamer initiates a raid, the chat embed redirects to a standard popout link for the target channel and not the embed link with the same parent as was set. I believe that when we set the parameters they should stay during this process.
eg: twitch.tv/popout/channel/chat when it should be twitch.tv/embed/channel/chat?parent=...
