  1. This guide descibes how Partners can assign someone a lifetime sub that doesn't count to rev of points

    https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/lifetime-subscriber-guide-for-partners

The API doesn't present any information as to who is a lifetime sub or not.
So we cannot guestimate sub points (or revenue if we are building revenue reporting tools for streamers we work with) from the API as we don't know who is a lifetime sub or not.

Please provide an API endpoint that lists these subs, which would be "cheaper" than a boolean flag added to the subscribers endpoint

  2. I believe that updating the redemption to have a status of CANCELLED should remove any active cooldowns on the custom reward

I understand that it needs to go into the cooldown state immediately so that other users cannot redeem it again, however setting the status to CANCELLED is our way of signalling that the event did not complete. It's how the streamer says "sorry I can't do that, have your points back".

It makes little sense for the redemption to stay in cooldown when the custom reward has failed to be completed.

  3. Allow filtering the event sub subscriptions list by specific transport destinations

Some people may use a clientID to feed more than one application.
So being able to ask the API to filter by destination would be useful.

  4. With the helix oAuth requirements

It is often a problem for the less experienced developer to get started, as they don't understand certain rules and limitations around the API.

The less experienced developer may then choose to generate and leak their client secret, or app access tokens on their "front end only" websites in error.

So I propose that if the token is identified as App Access/Client Credentials, Twitch adds "CORS Headers" to block the request

Consider also CORS headers to the token fetching endpoints for App Access generation as well?

  5. Add an extension's broadcaster ratings to EventSub so we can get real time feedback on our extensions from broadcasters. This should be limited to app access token from the extension itself to subscribe.

  7. We should be able to CRUD the Role Manager that is in the Streamers Dashboard. This would resolve multiple UserVoice requests including CRUD for VIP, Mod & the Editor migration from v5.

  8. It would be very easy to build and design for if there were official typing for all data endpoints. The data between all the different API's for the same data isn't consistent, and with event sub, since it no longer relies on the underlying Helix endpoint, that data can now be different too. This will also mitigate typos on the docs which causes huge headaches when trying to code for API responses and the data not working, or missing fields. The typing can specify which fields are required and which are optional, so when designing your app, you can easily…

  9. Web chat users got access to the new "replies" feature, where you can mark your message to be a reply of another message.

My suggestion is to add official documentation on how third parties can use this feature (for sending messages and for parsing received messages to be a reply)

  10. Consider a parameter option to display hosted channels if the embedded channel is not live. The parameter option is being suggested so that a broadcaster/developer can choose if they do or do not want hosted channels to display when the experience is embedded.

  11. When you have an application that uses channel points quite a lot and also reacts to them and does things, the chat is spammed with the redemption notifications which can negatively affect the chat experience.

I suggest adding a flag to custom redemptions that prevents the chat notification from being sent.

  12. Hello, there are unfortunately always VODs where no category is listed, when I create a clip there, the problem is that the clip does not appear in any category, that is very annoying for me as a streamer. That's why I ask you to vote for this idea, so that Twitch has a possibility to change the Twitch category after the clip is created.

For example, if a wrong category is set, there must be a possibility to change it later.

    example bug clip list: https://dashboard.twitch.tv/u/terminatorsaw2k/content/clips

  13. Can you please double check the meaning of the sentences covered in this page (ex: Send the user you want to authenticate to your registered redirect URI. -> you dont't send them to the redirect URI but to the Twitch uri under the cited pharagraph) And the 'token+idtoken' is not equal to 'token%20idtoken' (the 'token id_token' is) the '+' signs encoded to '%2B' which trows an error whereas the ' ' (space) encoded to '%20' which returns the desired result.

  14. Add the functionality to sort Channel Points redemptions into categories (and ofc make this settabel via the API).

It gets confusing and hard to find the redemption you're looking for with the current (amount of points based) sorting when you have one or more applications with multiple redemptions each and maybe then even some random single ones as well.

  15. There are reference to V5 API here to get user and channel ID.
Combined with the GitHub Sample at https://github.com/twitchdev/pubsub-javascript-sample that is still using it this is very confusing to get to work.
Suggest to update the sample and this article to reference the helix APIs instead.

  17. API endpoints should be implemented within the moderation:read or channel:moderate scope (not sure which would be the better fit) for the info present in the /user panel in mod view.

I imagine it would work very similarly to /helix/moderation/banned/events but with two major differences:
    • broadcaster_id would not require matching the user_id in the auth token; it would just need to match a broadcaster_id that the user is a moderator for.
    • user_id in the API call becomes a required parameter to keep it in line with how the /user panel works today

This should result in allowing applications to…

  18. The Search Categories API doesn't seem to apply any "relevance" and direct matches are not often the first result.

    https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#search-categories

    Please apply relevance sorting.

  19. Via IRC we can get emotes in message shared with cheer for clean the message for use via TTS or showing message with image for replace emote.

I think you have to add this field in this event because we already have message shared but can't parse it.

  20. The page at

    https://dashboard.twitch.tv/u/barrycarlyon/community/channel-points/rewards

    Will list all rewards.

But it's not super obvious which rewards "I made" or which rewards "an API call" made.

So in theory a streamer not paying attention could delete an integration created reward.

I'm not saying "remove" the delete button, just add additional wording
