How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. On Twitch over the last couple of years the idea and concept of a 'Console Challenge' has been around.

The general concept of a 'Console Challenge' is when an individual or a group of people get together to try an 'beat' or get to the credits of every game in a consoles library.

The general streaming category for most console Challenge runners is either using the 'Retro' section of twitch, or streaming in the games own category.

As a console challenger myself, over the last year or so the concept and idea has been getting more interest as more find…

  2. Hello,

I would like to add "Disney's Lorcana: Trading Card Game" to Twitch, as this is something I am streaming. It's a fairly large game coming soon, so I imagine a lot of people will be streaming this.

  3. I would like a Cyber Security Category. There is a large community of CyberSec streamers and even more followers. Currently there are only 3 categories we can stream under:

    TryHackMe
    Hack The Box
    Science and Tech

TryHackMe and HackTheBox are usually never used as although we do stream content from both websites we will often swap platforms or stream other platforms/things in between.

Science and Tech is the closest category we have however CyberSec Streamers usually get lost among all the other streamers and it can be hard to differentiate between the CyberSec Streams and Programming Streams as they may…

  4. Add this category:
    -RebornVR

So that streamers can put this game as a category in the live ones, thank you very much I am attentive to your answer.

  5. The FF TCG has been going since 2011 (and was rebooted in 2016, thriving ever since).

Currently when real life events are streamed, there's no category for this to be streamed under. The closest thing is for the Final Fantasy Digital Card Game, which was something entirely different for Yahoo customers that closed down in 2020.

Other TCGs have categories to use for real life events or event for players to stream their webcam practice or online simulator games. For example there's the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game" category alongside all it's actual games that Konami use for events and stores…

  6. Let's get Mini Painting added to the Categories list!
I'm a full time Mini painting streamer, and I know tons of fellow painters would love to use this category.
We've got a really awesome, engaged community on Twitch, and it would be perfect form of outreach to connect with fans of D&D, Warhammer, and countless other miniature producers. This tag would allow us to use it as an umbrella category to engage many other users looking for content like ours.

  9. Can we get a fishing category picture? The default picture is a game controller, there are two fishing categories both have the default picture, makes it hard to find and get the right one when streaming and searching. Help Real Life Fishing grow on Twitch.

  10. Bring the Homepage Carousel feature to every category in the browse section. With each category taking the top recommended streamers based on the individual user's recommended streams in that category into a carousel like design that is used at the top of the front page. Going a step further, having a carousel for every stream tag where possible.

  12. Not every streamer uses tags, not every speedrun game is a commonly searched game directory. What if we gave more visibility to speedrunners by having a category just for this type of gaming. That way people with the interest can find new speedrunners and even get to know new speedrun games.

Speedrunning is no longer a niche hobby, it has grown massively on Twitch over the last five years, not to mention some of the largest fundraising efforts on the platform are speedrun related.

  13. Subcategories for Fortnite.

With how many games are tucked into Fortnite now, this almost seems like it shouldn't even need to be suggested but here we are.

Many people don't like Battle Royale but are dabbling in Lego Fortnite or Save the World, and as a Twitch viewer, I don't want to sift through the 20183k people streaming a generic topic of "Fortnite."

Please separate the categories. This allows streamers to fine tune their content to the crowd they're seeking, which increases visibility for them and assists in searching for the content the viewer wants to see. Win win.

  14. At some stage the "Fear & Hunger" game category has disappeared from twitch.

it's sequel, Fear & Hunger 2 : Termina is an available category, but not the first game.

Fear & Hunger still exists in IGDB ID: 114110

  16. Indie games on Twitch have close to zero discoverability. As an indie horror streamer myself, it would be amazing if instead of choosing the game title (that most won’t know to look for) there was a category for Indie Horror Games. Indie Horror Games should have it’s own category much like Retro Games do. The same goes for all other genres of indie games. Even just an Indie Games category in general would help. Not only would it give more discoverability to indie game streamers, but also to the indie game developers as well. I know many other streamers who…

  18. In Japan, it is commonly understood that "VRChat" refers to the specific virtual reality social platform and is often abbreviated as "VRC." However, the term "VRチャット" in Japanese signifies a broader category that encompasses any virtual reality chat or interaction, distinct from the "VRChat" platform.

The distinction between "VRチャット" and "VRC" is significant for the Japanese-speaking community on Twitch. It affects how content is categorized, searched for, and understood. The current treatment of "VRチャット" as synonymous with "VRChat" or "VRC" can lead to confusion and misinterpretation, potentially hindering users' ability to accurately find and engage with the content they are…

  19. I would like to recommend a category for Live Action Roleplaying or LARPing. This would allow for groups such as Belegarth/Dagorhir/Hearthlight/Amtgard/NERO and other LARPs to showcase their events/practices, but it would also provide a space for those who are crafting for LARP purposes, such as making armor/boffers or are telling stories/doing digital meet ups. This would help better define and categorize something that doesn't fit neatly into a single category and would provide an overarching place for this niche to exist in which currently touches: Sports, Crafting, Live Chatting, Art, and so many more categories.
