PC Hardware For the builders and enthusiasts that enjoy the hardware behind their games. To have a more focused approach to our viewers. We are here to showcase PC Hardware builds, educate viewers on best practices and to be able to interact with chat to help. From planning, to building step-by-step system builds if it may be a straight forward "AIO build" to high end complex custom hard tube water cooling builds. We have Just chatting or Science & Technology currently, but I feel we could reach more by defining the building side of the machines we all love to use everyday.

Rename "Politcs" category to "Current Events, News & Politics" There's a considerable amount of streamers who cover this type of content and this is not just small talk, it's not just chatting. These are more meaningful topics being covered and are worthy of having a more comprehensive category. Most streamers avoid the Politics category because its scope is too narrow. They're drawn to Just Chatting where most of the "appealing" content takes place in the hopes they will get noticed. 3D Printing streams have consumed the Makers & Crafting section on Twitch making the category painful to scroll through to find anything that isn't a 3D printer stream. Can they please get their own category?

ASMR Ear Lick The ASMR category and a lot of its creators have been affected by a massive wave of ear licking streams, which do not reflect the ASMR category's purpose.
I'm proposing the creation of a different category for that so that creators can all have their streams labelled correctly and viewers can easily find what they are looking for.
There are a lot of different subcategories when it comes to ASMR and I think it's important for Twitch to notice and do something about it. Imagine playing a game under a category called "Games", it wouldn't specify what the stream is…189 votes -
add "streamers" to the caterory tab when i open a category tab in the top you can see the amount of viewers and the amount of followers for that category - it would also be useful to know the current amount of streamers for that game

Let me filter categories by stream language. TLDR: Don't show me there is 11 viewers in "tiny rogues" category if no one is streaming in english.
I would like not to see categories of games if the streamers currently streaming don't speak stream in languages I can understand.
Every time I click on the game I want to watch there are no streamers in languages I speak.
But there is no way for me to know before clicking on a category.
As I watch a lot of less popular indie games it really annoys me.
Sometimes I click on 5 different game categories and find noone streaming…

Add a general Star Wars category. We would love to see a general Star Wars category where all fans doing all things Star Wars related could stream in that category. For example, playing SWTOR? You could stream in that category. Star Wars cosplayers could stream in the category. Other Star Wars games, same thing. The Star Wars game viewership isn't as large as other categories, but Star Wars content combined could be something great. We'd love to see this happen so we could help the games get more traffic and meet a lot more Star Wars nerds. ;o) Thanks!

Why is "Hitless" a banned category? Self titled, why is "Hitless" banned from being used as a category? I'm certain this is a bug, because if it isn't, then it was just an incredibly poor decision.
Team Hitless is an entire group of no hit runners, and have a Twitch Team established. Damageless is allowed, NoHit is allowed, Deathless is allowed, even "Hitlesss" is allowed which further leads me to believe it's a mistake.
I think if somehow on the very off chance this isn't a bug, Twitch should really consider what they were thinking when making that decision.

Use AI learning to navigate "Just Chatting" Instead of being just like the gaming categories, additionally add a keyword section to Just Chatting which would then prioritize streams based on relevance.
With the size of directory, this would help end user find content based on their interest/search, and it would also give better discoverability for IRL based content without having to rely on the category system that exists on the gaming side of the platform.

Die Hard Trilogy Please can we have Die Hard Trilogy as one tag? its silly to have all 3 games seperate on Twitch when its clearly one whole game on the ps1, saturn and pc.
Its already on IGDB as one game and needs to the same on Twitch

RiffTrax Seeing as the related "Mystery Science Theater 3000" has their own category, it feels only fitting that RiffTrax (whom have had an active Twitch channel for close to six years now) would get their own.

Animal Crossing New Horizons category treasure island For the Animal Crossing New Horizons category how about removing the treasure island streams so are easier found and sent to the bottom

Separate Categories for World of Warcraft games As of writing this post, WoW has has 3 different games active:
1) WoW Dragonflight
2) WoW Classic
3) WoW Wrath of the Lich King Classic.
My suggestion is to make 3 separate categories for each of those games since they are different games.1 vote -
IRL Categories Descriptions When the initial IRL category was split into a dozen categories they were all presented with a description. None of these descriptions are present in any of the IRL categories. It would be helpful to make them available to aid streamers, especially newcomers, in picking the appropriate category for their streams. The descriptions should either contain as many examples as possible for what type of content they can be used or to contain metadata (or tags) to provide suggestions on what category to pick. Metazoo Metazoo is a new TCG, rapidly growing in popularity that launched it's first set in summer of 2021. The game has been streamed a decent amount though under the Pokemon Trading Card Game category. The game having it's own category would allow fans to follow the game to watch gameplay, unboxings and breaks from a variety of creators.
