ASMR Ear Lick
The ASMR category and a lot of its creators have been affected by a massive wave of ear licking streams, which do not reflect the ASMR category's purpose.
I'm proposing the creation of a different category for that so that creators can all have their streams labelled correctly and viewers can easily find what they are looking for.
There are a lot of different subcategories when it comes to ASMR and I think it's important for Twitch to notice and do something about it. Imagine playing a game under a category called "Games", it wouldn't specify what the stream is about and what content to expect.
I believe that everyone would benefit from this since there have been so many complaints about the ASMR category as it stands today. A lot of creators left the platform or changed their content simply because it became impossible to be discovered there or to stream without people asking for ear licking content.
I don't think any creators should be hurt by this as there is a place for everyone to stream the content they love, however, we should all be able to feel comfortable and safe while streaming, which is not happening right now.
In conclusion, creating a new category for ASMR Ear Licking would make a massive difference for ASMR streamers, viewers and the platform itself. Twitch is always saying how important labels are, so I believe categories should be treated the exact same way.

Twitch PLEASE LISTEN. There is space for every art form but ear licking and non-traditional ASMR belongs in its own category. Also second the idea of creating a “traditional ASMR” or “classic ASMR” tag to differentiate.

The ASMR category is hard to look at. Not everyone wants to see all that mature content when looking for a peaceful place to relax(or a new friend to raid)....It's spammy at this point. There are kids using this platform.
As a steamer in the ASMR category, I know creating a separate category for this mature content would positively influence all streamers within it's category. As it should be. -

Twitch, please implement this suggestion. So many really good traditional ASMR content creators are drowning in the spittle of ear licking ASMR content creators, many of whom having links to their off-platform adult content via link aggregators.
Please save traditional ASMR, and allow for the categories to be split. I don't begrudge anyone advertising themselves, but the appropriation of the ASMR category has become incredibly damaging to the category, and to the artform.
I would even support the creation of a 'Traditional ASMR' tag for filtering purposes.

This would really help the case. There’s a lot of people asking for ear licking on stream, as many as there are also people like “oof finally non ear licking stream”. I agree with Maya and I believe it will make everyone more comfortable, especially the ASMRtists :)

This could be helpful! My main concern is that sexual ASMR is now the norm because twitch has allowed it. I get way more harassment in ASMR streams because the main content in the category is sexual, therefore, new people assume ASMR is inherently sexual. This is problematic and we need better TOS. I don't get the bannable criteria either. But at least we could have a separate category for traditional asmr vs ear lick? It would also make it easier to raid creators because I'd know they wouldn't be NSFW.

Perhaps an additional category tag for the more “mature” streams is needed as well. Understandable there are age settings, but something akin to “ASMR18+” or even “Sensual ASMR” might also help in viewers finding the streams they prefer.

This would be so useful - I am not trying to shame people that make certain kinds of content at all, but having that specific type of video in it's own category would make it a lot easier to filter certain types of videos out of my homepage/recommendations!

I frequently scroll a bunch when searching for ASMR because there are many ear licking streams, which I am uninterested in. Splitting this into a separate category would help traditional ASMR streamers do better and be discovered by more viewers.
