Retro category is unhelpful. Many users do not stream in categories that exist for games, instead choosing to stream in the "Retro" category, making following the category for that game pointless. This only serves to make it more difficult to find streams for a lot of games, and Retro would be much better off used as a tag instead. Pokemon has a similar issue, with many choosing to stream in the category for the latest game instead of the game they're actually playing.

Create a Weather and Storm Chasing category A problem I have noticed is that any weather-related streams fall into either the IRL, Travel & Outdoors or Science & Technology categories, which affects the discoverability of those types of streams.
With the impacts that weather can have on people, this change would make Twitch another way for people to know that a dangerous storm is approaching. This would be very beneficial to both the streamers and the people watching them by having increased discoverability.

New World Duplicate Category Issue There are two categories named "New World" so people are accidentally putting themselves in the wrong category, and all past broadcasts from the game that everyone is actually streaming, even if they're under the correct category, is being saved to the new category of "New World 1982" rather than New World.

Merge the 71 Minesweeper categories into 2: "Minesweeper" and "Minesweeper variants". Minesweeper is a barely streamed game, yet there are 71 categories of Minesweeper and Minesweeper variants. Merging those into 2 would make it easier for people to find, follow, and popularize this pretty much singular game.

Adding DMZ as a game category to help discoverability would like to add call of duty : dmz as a separate category on twitch to help discoverability for dmz creators so we aren't all lost in the warzone category
have had multiple people stop by saying they are looking for dmz content but its hard to find

Pole Dancing, Twerking & Popular Dances / Performing Dance Arts With the new guidelines regarding sexual content streamed on Twitch, and the green light to twerk and pole dance, it is safe to say that it is time to add a separate category for this type of content. At the moment, channels are streaming twerking videos under the art category. Viewers expect to see people drawing or painting when they click the art category, not twerking/dancing. Fix the following categories tab pls. It seems following a category is no longer working. And the followed categories tab does not show all the game titles I followed.
I may have followed many titles, but I don't think there should be a limit to that.

Merge the two identical "A Link to the Past" Categories There are two identical categories for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, just with different tags.
People most likely stream in the category with more viewers, but which one of the two that is switches sometimes. It's very confusing and there is no reason to have two seperate categories for the same game anyway.

Don't Rename "Travel & Outdoors" to "IRL" Twitch recently announced they're going to make this change, but instead of helping it will only confuse people. IRL is currently a directory that comprises multiple categories: Just Chatting, Travel & Outdoors, Music, Art, Sports, etc. There are some who are nostalgic and stuck in the past, and refer to IRL as outdoor streams only. But, as we've seen, IRL has expanded a lot over time and has become anything a streamer would do that doesn't involve streaming video games. We need to move forward instead of backward.

Automotive / Motorsports Category Myself and many other streamers do automotive repair, Racing, designing and don't have a category to do so under. I believe a umbrella cat. of motorsports should be added to help people find that content.

April Fools' IRL categories are a diss at the valid category creation requests that are being ignored Twitch has allotted some resources into creating these categories as a joke: "Just Catting", "Sandwiches", "Cowboy Corner", "Inanimate Objects" and "Chores, Odd Jobs and Errands". They had someone spend time and effort brainstorming for their titles and descriptions, artists creating their cards and engineering adding them to the platform.
