How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. Currently only the 25 most viewed streams you follow appear in the sidebar with no way to display more once that cap is reached.

Desktop has a "show more" button. It would be best if both desktop and mobile just showed all of the live channels you follow right off the bat, but at least feature parity with desktop's "show more" button would be nice. I follow a lot of streams and I always like to check what low viewership streamers are live first. As-is the only way to do that is to go to the following tab and scroll…

  2. I suggest adding stream uptime to the pop-up when a followed channel is highlighted.

  3. Instead of games, have broader categories that people can stream similar games under. This would help discoverability as people could browse the category to see different games being played. the "retro" and "Pokémon Sword" category works this way but its been an adopted practice by streamers.

    Examples:
JRPGS: people could stream ff, chrono trigger, suikoden, tales, etc.
    Indie Games: self explanatory
    Pokémon: all Pokémon titles

I really believe this would help immensely for smaller content creators!

  4. Condense all versions of RPG Maker (MV, XP, VX etc.) into just 'RPG Maker'. This will mean that RPG Maker streamers get more traction & exposure if everyone points to one singular, all-encompassing category.

If that's not possible, even just an 'RPG Maker' tag would be enough, so that people can just stream into Science & Technology with that tag attached.

  5. I've been a Twitch viewer for years and a content creator for a little over a year now. I dont watch regular TV (for lack of a better term), just Twitch. Theres tons of great content creators out there unfortunately every time I visit the front page, its the same 5-10 streamers EVERY DAY getting all the publicity. Not only is it always the same streamers but its virtually all from the 'music' category which isn't a category I'm interested in. So not only is Twitch cherry-picking the talents they want to see succeed, they're not delivering me content that…

  6. Deberían poner alguna etiqueta que tenga relación con la filosofía, debates, discusiones, temas de interés intelectual. Estaría muuuuuuy padre.
    Gracias, Twitch!

  8. Please add an "Advice Show" category! This could be a category specifically for online advice streams like those currently performed by LyleForever, ToadPHD, and TheOldestNewb (myself). We are currently difficult to find because we're at the bottom of "Just Chatting". I expect there will be even more channels like this.

  10. I study a lot with streamers using the Pomodoro method (25min study - 5min break or 50min study - 10min break) and I would love for streamers who use this specific method to be able to specify it, as not every study/co-working stream uses it. I think both streamers and audiences can benefit from this! :)

  12. A lot of streamers love streaming underrated scary games but they don't have the category to do so.
I have seen streamers play scary games on the "Just chatting" Category. When i ask them why they say because there is no category for us. Could someone add a "Scary Games" Category on Twitch please?

    Thanks

  13. Revise the generation of cover files for games. Some are not representing the current game state, like The Elder Scrolls Online.
Some places the cover is the new one, some places it gets an older one. As in this case, and I imagine it's the case for many Ongoing/MMO games, each new expansion/release the cover art changes.
In the ESO example, if I go to set the stream type the name of the game it show the correct updated thumbs, but after confirming it shows the previous one (tested on various browsers) and it just updates after some minutes to…

  15. When the "Followed Channels" is collapsed, the ABSOLUTE INSTANT you hover over that, it auto-expands. Please return it to either "Click to Expand" or allow the hover to take ~1.5 seconds before it activates. Attempting to hit pause/play and slightly over-shooting the button, or even just happening to get your mouse in that area for a second causing it to expand out instantly is extremely annoying.

  19. With twitch having a following limit and eventually everyone will hit the cap at some point there should be an easier way to manage and get rid of who we follow, more so for when we want to mass remove a lot of channels that arent active anymore. either a better UI that shows us who we follow with an easy follow/unfollow button along their name or an option or automatic process that removes people who havent streamed in 6-12 months

  20. Currently, Word of Mouth is a big factor for channels being discovered by new viewers. You've found a great new channel that you think your friends will enjoy so you want to tell them about it. Currently, all you do is share the channel link with your friends and you've directly helped that channel grow... but there's no direct reward for helping that channel.

What if there was a 'referral' system available where you could share a link, with a particular referral code, with your friends and if they choose to follow the channel you receive a bonus amount of…
