Pause on mouse hover notification placement Pause on mouse hover is a superb tool for moderation as it let you click the right moderation buttons to delete/timeout/ban the right person instead of clicking someone else on chat message pushing.
But it has ONE weird detail, the popup letting you know chat is paused prevents almost any interaction and certainly reading the last comment as it is below the popup and i find myself normally trying to quickly delete or react to messages usually ending up there in that position and having to scroll the chat to do so.
The solutions i think it would fix this…4 votes -
chat highlight for "first comment in current broadcast" That's it. Ability to highlight a chatters first post that broadcast.
To be clear so that this isn't closed down again, I do not mean first time chatters ever, I realise that that is available. I mean first time in that live event.

Arabic Letters Arabic letters are way too small for us to read. We often struggle since the letters are connected to forming a word. I would suggest a different font for Arabic that is clear when its small or big.

Allow Editors to Mod/Unmod Viewers on broadcasters behalf Give Editors the ability to mod and unmod non-editor mods.
Editors should be a role given to an entrusted friend/moderator so they should be able to perform additional tasks on behalf of the broadcaster in the certain events of large streamers not always having time or the ability to manage their chat moderators, thus many streamers put one of their tenured, more trusted moderators to lead the mod team on how to moderate the chat. Among these responsibilities, modding/unmodding should be one of them on behalf of the streamer focusing on growing their brand.
There are certain third party programs…

Founder Badge Have an option to choose between the founder badge or the channel subscription badge.
In the chat I moderate several people are "complaining" about not being able to show their subscription badge. It is a kind of privilege to have the founding badge but then why impose it and not let the user choose?4 votes -
Treat 2FA authenticator logins the same as mobile verifications With the new addition of verified users only in chat, you can have an account which is 2FA enabled but still requires a cell phone SMS verification.
This seems non-sensical as 2FA via an authenticator is app technically more secure than SMS verification, however it is not treated as equivalent.2FA via an authenticator app should count as an account as verified the same as SMS.

Solve chat spam: Use chat groups and comment-upvotes as a filter Too many messages in chat make the stream spammy and makes it hard for streamers to see what is going on.
It also makes it hard for viewers to hold conversations with each-other or even follow what is happening.
If viewers could stay in smaller chat groups, they could hold actual conversations in those groups.
And if those groups could upvote comments, the most-voted comments could be made visible for all users in every group, working like a spam filter in which only the good comments are made visible for everyone, reducing spam drastically.

Basic chat protection features Already back in the golden days of IRC - late 90s, early 2000s, it was common sense for both IRC network operators, and custom bots run to moderate channels, to have built in protections against hateful and disrupting attacks and other common abuse of the service.
These kind of protections would include mitigations against:
Mass creation of accounts
Trying to connect to the network too many times from one IP
Too many joins/messages/similar to a single channel
Mass spam from multiple automated or manually operated actors
Twitch should look into the already widely adopted best practices and implement similar practices…

Chat badge based on account age Implement a universal chat badge based on the user's account age. Similar to sub age based sub badges, these badges would vary based on the account age. For example, at 5 years old the account would have access to badge 1, 10 years badge 2, etc.

Separate regular Chat and Highlighted Message chat. So, my issue with Highlighted Messages is that almost all the time they get drowned out by the other messages anyways, especially with larger streamers. The whole point (To my understanding) of highlighted messages is to make them more visible to the streamer, which often doesn't happen for the reason I stated earlier.
So here's how I think this can be improved: Separate regular chat from Highlighted Chat. This way the highlighted messages won't be drowned out. Even though the cost, and by extension the frequency of Highlighted Messages will vary and could be low OR high, it still won't…

Remove timestamps from VODs Remove timestamps from VODs. You used to be able to turn them off, but since they've taken away the chatbox there is no settings wheel to turn them off

Move 'chat paused' overlay to chatbox as background I really like the 'Pause Chat' feature. But the overlay indicator message that says that chat is currently paused, although already changed a bit, is still covering the last message / chatter name. So we can neither click the name nor click all the mod icons (at least when timestamps are on).
Of course this is only a problem when chat is slow, but turning the entire feature on and off depending on peaks is quite impractical.I would propose that this indicator shows up as the background of the chatbox. In a way that we could still type messages…

stop the forced 'verified chat only' I am seeing so many others with this same issue, you do nothing to help them since many still have no chat access after weeks, months, years... with no seeming reason for putting specific accounts on forced verification sitewide.
this happened suddenly to me mid stream & i cant chat anywhere except the stream i was in when it was triggered somehow. ive opened support tickets but am holding no hope & no trust since support & twitch do not care about its userbase. do better dan clancy... this on top of previous harassment by users that nothing ever was…3 votes -

Mouseovers on emotes pop up and make it difficult to select Mouseovers for channel points and emotes pop up too soon, get in the way and make it difficult to select. It gets annoying and time consuming to mouse away to somewhere else on screen and back to select an emote or a series of them in my commonly used that is blocked by a mouseover popup {userYYemoteZ}. I already know whose emote it is! Also same problem with the bonus channel point redeem. I can't click on it when it's covered by the mouseover pop up. I can see how some nerd thought it might be a neat idea, but…

automod When automod catches a message and its denied, the whole message including the persons name who sent it disappears, which is a pain for wanting to ban the person if needed. Can there be something remaining for only mods to see, so we can ban the name?
