Improve the "blocked terms and phrases" by including ways for automod to detect variations of terms using special characters

With the current bot situation starting to add special characters to their message, adding the new phrase every time is a bit of an annoyance. It would be nice if there was a way for automod to look at a message like [b,b̲][e,ë,è][s][t] to block "best" "bëst" "bèst""b̲est" "b̲ëst" and "b̲èst" for example

More specific filtering

While running tests to see how effective auto-mod is at picking up slurs or discriminatory terms, I tested common racial slurs and a term previously used to improperly describe disabled individuals. Auto-mod failed to register any of these and instead held a message detecting the word "Retar", which means to defy or challenge.

In order to be able to actually trust Auto-Mod to be of use while streaming, it seems it severely needs more fine-tuning. I find this concerning, because if a streamer has few or no mods available, this leaves it up to them to juggle entertainment, gameplay, communication, AND moderating the chat.

Mod action log for specific moderators

Implement a Mod Log for each individual moderator of a channel so you can see what actions that specific moderator has done in the channel. So lets say you do /user xyz and he/she is a mod in the channel, then there is a tab next to mod comments that would say something like "mod actions" and it shows all the things that mod has done in the channel, for example changing the title, banning / timeout x user etc etc. This would make it easy to see who is actually doing a lot of moderation work and who is not. I know you can see it in the "mod log" but then you will have to scroll through 2000 different timeouts / bans from bots and other mods and you cant specifically search up one mod and see what actions he/she has done in the channel.

Shared Ban Info incorrectly displaying in other streams

This has been the third time now that other streamers I share banned info with has come to me as to a reason behind a flagged chatter as being banned in my channel. I go and check my banned list, and that username is not banned in my channel. There are no mod comments/reasons shown on their moderation flags either. If it's because of auto-mod ban evasion or another reason, this needs to be implemented into the mod comments somehow so other streamers know the reason.

As for right now I've told the other streamers I share banned info with, that if it was an official ban from my account, it will have a reason listed. I still don't understand why they are seeing that a person is banned from my channel when they aren't in my list of banned users.

Fix recent Mod View bugs

Currently, ModView is bugged. The Ad Timer disappears for mods/editors after a short time during stream. Pins are not visible to moderators most of the time within Modview and now, as a Mod, I am no longer being sent along on Raids. This just started on Friday (8/23)

A single button press that can ban and report bots selling followers

As the title says, just a single button allowing the banning, block, and report of bots selling followers. It takes a little while for a small streamer (who are the ones targeted by these bots) to block, ban, and report with a message so that the bots are removed and dont both anyone else. It;s disruptive to the flow of the stream. A single button to ban, block, and areport a bot selling viewers/followers would be a great boon to small streamers and help twitch get rid of more of these bots as no doubt more would be reported.

Mods Can't Chat

mods should DEFINITELY not be allowed to chat

they can read people's entire chat history which obviously feels like **** for everyone, the sword looks incredibly ugly, as it's on a very basic level a celebration of segregation, discrimination, unequal rights, unfair privileges, hate and arbitrary violence; for the most part, it's like we have the most unethical security guards in the universe (at least 50% of them are openly racists, the entire thing is based on a "master race" sort of interpretation of reality) being on stage in front of the musicians, ruining the show just by being there, and randomly throwing boiling water on the crowd based on their mood and for completely random reasons

twitch is the most morally indefensible place on the internet just because of that: actual criminals are in a position of authority and power

it's a complete and total disaster; at least as far as music is concerned, which is most of what i know about twitch but OH BOY DO I KNOW IT WELL

so your choice is very clear and very simple there, guys: you accept that twitch stands for hate and discrimination and is fundamentally built to reward bullies and people with zero moral guidelines, or you change that **** to turn it into a place of love and understanding and peace and harmony instead of this ******* dystopian game of who's going to be the biggest piece of **** of them all and harass a weak and vulnerable streamer long enough for them to just handle them the keys to their entire ******* life for eternity

it's really a sad, sad thing and you have a responsibility to fix what is a terrible, terrible mistake, and by doing that, the chance to save those people's life

i'm serious

the idea that mods are saving the planet is the most ridiculously and insanely stupidly toxic concept of all time; it's not only making everyone's life miserable, it's sabotaging and hurting oh-so-deeply so many streamers life who end up trusting those people because Twitch told them to, when they OBVIOUSLY really, really shouldn't

now if you're telling me that the occasional bot-raid or what not and the extremely rare actual need to delete a message justifies their existence, I can ear that, but that doesn't justify in any way them ruining a chat by spamming NRA commercials in a "Heil the master race" sort of vibe

like holy ******* **** this looks so incredibly bad and twitch music has ZERO chance of developing in any meaningful way in that context and for that exact reason and they're all gonna end up jumping from a sinking boat at some point and go on youtube or X and that would also be quite sad because the twitch music community has so many bright sides, it's a wonderful thing and a wonderful place, deep down, and it should flourish and allow for artists to flourish but it's not because Chat is Unbearable and Physically Unwatchable. Streamers are paying infinite money a bunch of morons to make sure that anyone chill and reasonable who's not a mentally ill spamming maniac and doesn't believe in arbitrary violence just goes away; new people arrive, reasonable people leave, because this part is just so unbelievably dumb and ends up making everything else taste like ****

I spent over 50K on twitch, i'm not sure what's the exact number; i feel OK about it, I love these people and they deserved it

if i'm not the biggest financial supporter of twitch music of all time, then there can't be too many people ahead of me

twitch music has the potential to be the greatest, biggest thing in the history of music, and the only thing able to compete with the rise of AI music

but it's not going to achieve any of that in the current "only bad vibes" framework

weapons suck, we don't want weapons at a concert; looks gross, sounds gross, feels gross; mass surveillance sucks; violence sucks (99% of the time that i witnessed a message being deleted it was a bad and unfair decision that made everything worse because DIALOGUE BEATS VIOLENCE), the entire thing sucks and makes no sens

so maybe we use our brain now

and we make it beautiful

-Mods should either not exist or hide
-Maybe keep it to only 1 special badge and change the ******* logo at least for the music section, please: it looks incredibly disgusting in that context

maybe the sword is fine for videogame streamers

it never was, nerver is and never will be fine on a music stream (only exception is ThreeThirty_ maybe but that's a pretty special unique case and there are thousands and thousands of douchebags that are not him)

Think about it.

I'm not suggesting you should be politically engaged against monarchy and racism; you've built an entire anti-democratic and anti-universal chat model and maybe that's what twitch is and always will be, i don't know; what i'm saying is: it's making music strictly worse, it's making musicians life strictly worse, they're all in a terrible mental health state and the fact that they're immersed in the mind of the most unethical and distasteful people on the planet (which is the one and only way to get to that position, by being a disrespectful spamming egomaniac) seems most likely related, and it's costing them money and on a fundamental, structural level, it's costing Twitch money because twitch music could be at least 10 times bigger if it wasn't intrinsically toxic and immediately unbearable to most people

nobody likes the police, certainly not at a concert, and you know who really, really don't like them and are ******* nowhere to be seen in the music community? black people; authority sounds bad, it looks bad, and feels awful, authority is how unfair laws and unethical people with a violence and empathy issue end up making everyone's like miserable in so many contexts, in real life, all around the world, in a very, very real way

the entire idea was just bad thinking from the beginning, but you don't necessarily have to change everything, just give them a big time out and tell streamers to make all their friends VIP instead, except that one dude who really wants to read people's chat history and delete messages but is then, logically, fairly, not allowed to ruin everything by spamming on top of that ridiculousness

Thank you for your time. I appreciate the work you're doing and there has been a few cool changes and improvements and I respect that. But, yeah, once again, as far as music is concerned, everything is a meaningless detail next to systemic spiritual misery in a very direct, concrete and factual way. Those are not my opinions. This is an objective description of reality. Help musicians. Fix chat. Be a positive voice for society. Be a force for good. You're obviously not, right now. But you could be.

Maybe at some point we should only have AI being allowed to delete messages and read everyone's chat history. Maybe.

Maybe people are equal and should be treated as such. Maybe universal peace and love is a good idea. Maybe.

Mods getting pissy over being called out/Rules for thee not for me

I got timed by the same person on 3 channels over THEIR spam. There should be at least some way to prevent altercations like this between users and rulebreaking mods.

A filter of somesort to see users who have typed filtered phrases

A tool that allows moderators to see users who have tried to use banned words in the chat. As in many chats i have moderated for i have the term "viewers on" banned so scam bots can not post any more. But this means i also can't report them and notify Twitch of the rampant accounts.

Automod setting to whitelist users that followed or subbed for a specific time

Currently the AutoMod is kinda a headache when it triggers on regulars of the stream.
I think it's important to understand that in some chats a regular can write something, a FirstTimeChatter gets a timeout or Ban for. (On top of that that automod doesn't understand context what doesn't help either with this problem). Also most people that don't behave and/or are weird get filtered out by the mod team relatively fast anyway so it is only really needed for First Time Chatters or newer people.

So I propose a filter setting that excludes chatters from automod for a specific rule set like follow time or sub time.

Would greatly reduce the workload for mods and also reduces the clutter in the automod queue with false positives.

Is there any control/supervising on Twitch admins/bans?

Cause its strange... when a viewer abusing, hateful speaking and sexual harassment on streamer> the streamer channel si blocked on the next day. For example maybe Twitch admins have hatred of Russians

non-mod chat delay to mod view

Add from the channel moderation page the chat options (non-mod chat delay and block hyperlinks) into the mod view page Modes-menu.
Chat slowmode is already there so why not the rest of the settings applying to the chat.

Give Mobile Mod View 1:1 parity with Desktop ModView

Make Mobile modview the same as desktop mod view where we have access to
- Slash Commands in chat
- Channel Point Redeem Queue
- Shield, Slow, Follower Only, Emote Only, Sub Only quick action modes
- Activity Feed
- Chat user lookup for (chat history, follow/sub date, quick whisper, report and warn)
- hold on a message to have options for Reply, Delete, timeout, ban, ect
- Bulk Report tool
- AutoMod queue
- etc etc

AutoMod allow message instead of Permit Term

On a message caught by AutoMod have 2 options
- Allow Once
- Delete Message

In the Mod Actions queue or the AutoMod activity list in Mod View add 2 options
- Permit
- Block

This update will make it so AutoMod will still catch words that may have a one-time permitted use but still block Bad actors that may use same term in a different manner

Savable UI Layout Presets

I mod for multiple streamers on the same esports team, so i often have both of their chats open at the same time. my main monitor is landscape with a portrait second monitor, and there is just no easy way to reshape each UI to fit the monitor, which i have to do anytime they play together

If there was a way for me be able to save a layout in mod view for each of my monitors so that i don't have to spend the beginning of each stream moving the chat box back and forth it would save me a ton of time

Shared ban info is broken

Hello, I wanted to bring up an issue regarding shared ban info.

I am a moderator for a channel and last year, we raided another channel. Since then, the streamers from both channels have become friends. Recently, we decided to link our channels via shared ban info.

The problem is that some of our regulars were banned from the other channel during the raid a year ago. Now, when our regulars try to chat in our channel, they are being restricted because they are still banned in the other channel.

These are valuable members of our community and it's upsetting to see them unable to participate in our chat.

The streamer from our channel is not very technical and does not understand how to adjust the settings. As a moderator, I don't have the ability to change the settings since only the channel owner can do so.

Mods should be able to adjust these settings.

There's probably also room for adjusting whether someone should be restricted/monitored or not. If they were banned a year ago, but have been an active community member in another stream since then, maybe don't alter their status in that stream. Maybe the more recent data should take precedent?
