How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

If you need help:
This forum is for ideas only. If you need help, please check out our help portal for tons of articles that may answer your questions. If you still need help, you can reach out to our support team in the help portal as well!

Appeals or commentary on suspension decisions, support requests, suggestions disparaging others, and non-constructive feedback will be closed without comment.

  2. While dealing with two viewers arguing, I used the warning system to the viewers involved. During evaluation other moderators mentioned that they are not informed of warnings issued by me because these are only reported in mod view, which not every moderator uses.

Outside mod view, timeouts and bans issued by a moderator are visible in chat to other mods outside mod view, but a warning issued is not. Seems like an oversight and hope this is an easy fix to add this.

  3. Twitch draws the line with slurs and terms that are deemed offensive and some are not allowed on the platform at all. However the ableist slur/ word "***" / "*****" are allowed on this platform. It's very disheartening to see that such awful terms are allowed, especially when they are rooted in ableism. I've reported other content creators for coming to my stream calling me this slur and nothing happened. I see some of the top creators on this platform say it repeatedly in a single stream. Why are certain slurs not allowed, but ableist ones are? I'd…

  4. The "political content" tag already exists, there's no reason to censor creators who want to discuss political topics such as zionism. It is NOT a religious belief or background, it is the support of a settler-colonial state established by the United Kingdom. In my opinion, the British had zero right to "give" that land to another group, and plenty of Jewish people feel the same. Israel is currently bombing and mutilating as many people as possible. Most rational people would call this a genocide, and these are discussions that must be had. To censor these discussions is truly throwing fuel…

  5. I suggest added a feature that allows banned or timeout based on a set 'string' of characters over a term or phrase as simple add extra vowels an random characters to the start of end of word causes the banned terms to miss it. Exmaple: " Twitch = Scam" follow but something about a gambling site is something that get spammed in my Streamers chat often and simple ad and extra I and a like so " Twiitch = Scaaam " to get around the blockterms!
Also maybe the setting to auto-ban base on a string or term/phrase instead of…

  6. In the latest quiet update, Twitch introduced the “Show Messages Caught by Channel Blocked Terms” feature.
But it is completely useless and only disturbs moderators.

What is the point: The word is in the blacklist, but if a person sends it to the chat - the moderator sees it, but delayed by AutoMod.
Previously, such messages were not allowed into the chat in any way.

Because of this, the number of permanent bans and spam in the chat from AutoMod for the moderator and streamer has increased many times.

Yes, there is a setting in the chat settings for the…

  7. It is becoming VERY annoying when 1 out of 8 of my messages doesn't get posted even though I'm using normal words and emotes I have always used (like the word "ah" or the LUL emote).

  8. Why are Australians targeted abuse of streamers and why is it allowed? I will be contacting Australian advertisers and letting them know that Twitch allows this.

  10. Adjust the "Ad Notification for Mods" setting to also include Editors. Right now, Editors are not considered Mods for the purpose of this setting. Or, reword the "Chat Notification" toggle description to include it's application to Editors.

  11. It has come to my attention that mods can see the global data of how many times an user has been banned or timed out... And I can see how that can be easily abused or misleading, and I advise keeping those stats ONLY to staff, and ONLY take measures on those metrics on confirmed reports of spammers or clearly malicious individuals.

    Examples of cases:

    • Mob Mentality - Some groups of streamers may gang up on a target for petty reasons and ban them even if they have not been on their stream at all. Example: Viewer A has…

  12. You give the option to flag streams as sexual, yet when someone gets naked they get banned. Me and other people live for NSFW weather it be IRL or drawings. Which is why you shouldn't ban the streamers for get naked and instead give them the option to give out a nudity warning.

  13. I realize that there is a lot of noise on Reddit and from AIPAC funded folks (Torres) vis-a-vis Hasan. I just want to say that you are absolutely doing the right thing by continuing not to touch him. People are stretching really hard to silence one of the loudest pro Palestine voices on the internet instead of trying to stop a genocide. In this sense, Twitch has unironically acted as one of the bravest media outlets by allowing actual free speech that explains the history of the “conflict” and humanizes the people currently being genocided. This is moral courage. Thank…

    1. Clear Conduct Guidelines and Transparency Detailed Rule Display: Streamers must adhere to a visible code of conduct that includes prohibited behaviors, appropriate language, and rules for engaging with viewers. This code is displayed on their profile, accessible to both viewers and Twitch staff. Regular Compliance Training: Streamers complete periodic (e.g., quarterly) training to stay current on Twitch policies. This reinforces a clear understanding of expectations, with failure to complete training leading to temporary suspension.
    2. Automated Monitoring and Consistent Penalties Automated Behavior Tracking: AI-driven tools monitor for language violations, inappropriate interactions, or content infractions in real time. If a streamer breaks…

  14. Hey twitch, what do you think about add some people who moderate only streamers who speaking russian/most have russian auditory? Need people who understand russian language, give streamers correctly information about bans/rules, speak with community and moderate reports. This is huge problem right now.

  16. It's absurd that mods in the Twitch app have half the functionality of moderators on the desktop version of Twitch. Literally on the Twitch app they can only ban, timeout, change the type of chat etc.

There are many other functions missing, including: making predictions, refunding channel points. To solve this problem I would like there to be a moderator view like there already is in the desktop version, which includes all the mod features and you can watch the live stream at the same time.

Please, this is probably one of the most useful features that should be added…

  17. from what limited information i have. i see
AsmonGold was banned for what he did not do.

    https://x.com/ChurchOfGame/status/1846490663220617688

i have evidence that he did not say what people reported him for. he does not say that the people should be bombed at all.

He even rightly calls out the homophobia/ transphobia of the Catholic Church!

but it's part of a long standing hate of the man by people that have nothing better to do or some ideological *****.

they say he hates women. he does not.

So can you undo it? there's a lot of horrible stslander and and misunderstandings…

  18. I've recently experienced bugs where my stream will be stopped or blocked from viewing due to missing content warnings for game where there is no content being shown that requires a warning. The games being played were things like Palia and Fields of Mistria. After communicating through email for help on this with no advice or solution, my only assumption is that this is a bug. I feel like a good solution around this would be to add an option to specify that a stream's content is family friendly or safe for everybody or even the option for mild content…

  19. GIve editors access to update and customize channel points redemptions, sub emotes, channel rules, etc... to save streamers time. Usually editors already manage third parties addons, but missing the ability to update them on Twitch side is crippling.
