100 bots was sent to my account I was just broadcasting a game and for some reason 100 bot accounts started following me. So I thought I'd report it before my account was closed due to misunderstandings. I'm not the one sending bots in my account.

Bots On 5.12.2023, a follower bot was sent to my account while I was broadcasting. Accounts that have previously been botted should not be able to access my account.

Whisper Function only used by bots? In my 13 years of being on the website I can only recall a few times I've used the whisper function, majority of which were people contacting me [as a moderator] for an unban. The hundreds, possibly thousands of other times were merely bots using the feature to spam links which I can only assume are all malicious.
Now I don't have any data on how useful the whisper function is for actual people but I would take a guess and say 80-90% of all whisper messages are likely spam/bots. I would just like to propose the removal of the…3 votes -
follow bots This week i got follow botted - 170 bots on my channel. I took them all off but it took me a little bit to go through everything. Wish there was a fail-safe - unless someone is gifting subscriptions, no followers should be able to be purchased and put on someones account. This would also make it so creators cant buy followers that are fake. makes your ratings go down when you have a large number of followers but no one watching/ interacting and is not good for the channel

whisper scambots When whisper scambots [click link to lose steam credentials] are reported and confirmed to be scambots, twitch should contact the link site registrar and report abuse to stop new bot accounts continuing to spam that site.
Also whispers should have reported & confirmed links filtered so the whisper isn't delivered.

Protest and demand for improvement against ban attacks on distributors using URL comments on obscene image thumbnail clips A few days ago, a prominent streamer commented on the URL of a clip with an obscene image as a thumbnail on his channel, which caused a large number of obscene thumbnails to appear in the chat window. This was a case in which the streamer was banned by Twitch management while dealing with the BOT.
The streamer is a normal, healthy streamer and has no malicious intent.
The biggest problem is that the management officially counted the streamer for the violation afterwards.
I strongly condemn the management for this.

Stop the ability to make bots Stop allowing all these channel bots to be created by users. They offer no viewer count and do nothing for channel growth. Its bad enough you can get banned for using follower and viewer bot services but these bots never get banned for being A BOT.

Twitch chat bot account abuser There are people creating twitch chat bot account then using script or something to prevent message drop which makes their message appear the last at every message throttle even when they are not vip/mod/broadcaster. This is like a passive aggressive way of spamming messages.
As a streamer I can't point out because I have no proof but this totally ruined my chat integrity, made the chat seems like there are always same few users wanting attention.3 votes -
Universal Twitch Bot toggle on/off against bot attack Hi, I've recently witness a channel being targeted 10 times in October by follow bots and already got 2K followers in 1 stream in November. That channel is using Serybot to counter and bans accounts instantly but some accounts still find a way to act as real followers. Also they started fake raiding 1 viewer for at least a minute. Wouldn't it be easier if Twitch had a universal bot on every channel that can track what Serybot is doing but with much more efficiency ? or at least a toggle on/off when an attack like that is…

follower bot My suggestion: add a follower bot etc to our channel. have a quick action button in the publisher panel where, when fired, publishers can submit reports with a single click. Press this button from quick actions when the broadcaster is exposed to fake follower bots. With a single click, the twitch team will be notified. Twitch should delete those bots as soon as possible. No one should have any trouble with this. Because most people don't know what to do about it! I think it would be a very practical and beautiful solution.

Scams Imagine a world where twitch publicly acknowledged they have a bot problem. So far for the last 2 weeks I have been following this one account thats been changing their name every day while streaming fake video to fake viewers. They are allowed to stream uninterrupted for upwards of 24 hours before changing the name and doing it again. auto authenticater I have seen alot of follow bots lately. It is ruining the experience for the chatters and making things very frustrating and ifficult for the streamer and there is not much the streamer or mods can do about it. My idea is after say 20 followers in a short period of time, anyone that wants to follow must reeneter a authentication code to follow for the next hour. It would make it so the follow bots wouldnt be able to spam follows and anyone who actually does want to follow would just have to simply reenter a code.

Content match but to catch spam bots. How about:
1. Set up a system to analyze users reported for being suspicious of being a bot in a chat.
2. Said system allows the person reporting to select one or more recent chat messages from said user.
3. The chat message gets added to a staff-curated list of spam messages. The curated list runs a check behind the scenes (maybe via a JS that already does the "sending message" mechanics).

Passive bots in viewers Some streamers have been using bots for years. Bots are sitting in the viewer list with female nicknames and avatars. Those who come to their channel end up on the restream of the owner of the bot network.
