  1. Could you have the ability to list the bots (Streamer approved bot list) that are allowed to be in that streamer's channel and then for all other bot account to be auto ban the moment they start watching.

As a mod I have been using https://twitchinsights.net/bots to check if accounts are bots and then banning any that show up as bots before they talk in chat. The Hoss bot is just creating so many account it disrupting many streams now.

Also could you have another setting to alow streams to chose to have any account that is watching more than…

  2. Should be simple: have something similar to automod check for known and reported bot messages and their pattern. If it matches, rather than blocking or reporting the account automatically, just cause the suspicious message to be hidden from anyone but the sender.

Additionally, after 1 month of their infraction, lock the suspect's account and try to make a direct contact with them.

Another thing to do would be to change Verified → Partner and create an actual Verified Account status that marks accounts that are confirmed to be actual users rather than bots.

  3. Perhaps someone at Twitch HQ could use machine learning to identify partially exposed breasts from streamers. The are many streamers that do this for content, and it is not very pleasant to come across this when scrolling through the just chatting category.

Can this then be made into a Bot, so the streamer is "aware" of what is happening..

The machine learning component hopefully would not be very complex, but not sure how you would implement it on a larger scale (not aware of the resources you have available). Otherwise the low-tech approach would be a twitch staffer scroll through…

  4. When viewing the viewers log in chat you can see bots like Streamlabs and any other source you have a purpose for. However there are fake accounts that sit in the chat room that are not real viewers. Should be able to flag them for review and have them deleted.

  5. Bot's and fake viewer's/People in My Live Stream it needs to stop I am very sick of it for when I see 1 or 2 viewer's I will be so fast to say this" Hi to my 1 or 2 or how ever many (ect). Plus I will also say and always ask" How are you and How is your lovey day going today." (The reason I am very mad about this that when I say and ask my viewer's IN MY STREAM NOTHING IS SAID OR ANYTHING BECAUSE IN MY LIVE STREAM BIO I HAVE IT WHERE IT SAYS…

  6. Spam Bots continue to raid the platform. My friends and I are getting spam bots that go to websites such as Dogehype. Although their services are cheap, it is still untrusted, and I want to suggest that any form of "dot com" should be a red flag.

  7. I have been working on a solution for the hate raids problem, a problem that led streamers into going for a strike. I have been able to come up with a solution which I believe could solve the problem.
The solution has to deal with using the Channel-Banned Terms Filter.

First, we gather other alphabet (Greek, Latin, etc.) and signs that look like the English alphabet and arrange them based on the alphabet they look like, basically creating an array for each English alphabet and the letters that look like them.

Second, we write code that is able to swap…

  8. For months upon months now I have been facing an issue with an increasing number of bots engaging in View Botting, Host Botting, and follow for follow economies, as well as a startling amount of Analytic Data gathering. It's absolutely disgusting that some of these bot channels are allowed to affiliate, and in one or two extreme cases (Hello, Commanderroot.) even are partners. It's frankly horrifying to me to see the analytic ones allowed to exist specifically.

We need an ability to remove these things from our channel completely. Banning a bot doesn't do anything if it's still allowed to…

  10. Please add a function to ban bots that spam in one single sentence. Let this function work together with the delay in sending a message to the chat (from about 3 seconds or more), it will not apply to emoticons (at the streamer's choice), so that you can configure the restriction to check words in potential spam bots (for example: from 2 words or more), distinguish between the use of signs, CAPSLOCK, and other minor nuances. The larger the range of words for checking potential bot messages, the greater the delay should be at the time of sending the message…

  11. I think it is time to deny API access to all unverified bots/extensions. Malicious users are creating bots that are using the API to target streamers when they go live by hate raiding, follow botting, and now spamming other channels with malicious stream advertising messages in an attempt to get their targets banned.

All of this goes away by requiring bots and extensions seeking to be added to the platform go through a review process.

If Twitch doesn't have the resources to properly staff such an effort, crowdsource the review process.

Something must be done, doing nothing is no longer…

  12. I recently was follow botted again. A pretty recent update to twitch security added the option of only allowing verified accounts to type in chat. I believe we need an option that goes a step further to prevent follow bots entirely. The option is simple. Please give the streamer the option of requiring a verified phone number to follow their stream. That would remove any chance of someone follow botting because they will not have hundreds of verified accounts. And if they did they could be easily identified and dealt with.

  15. Recently I was botted with 4.4k bots following my account. Now, I have a new idea to have a follower cap set by the creator, or a setting to require the creator or a moderator to allow you to follow.

  17. I see some Streams with hoping Viewercounts like 30 Viewer, 10 min later there are 300 and again 10 minutes later there are only 30 again. I check also Websites like Twitchtracker to understand what i see. Some statistiks i see show pretty clearly, that there is something wrong with the viewers in the channel. In other words: This hoping don´t looks normal. Sadly Twitch doesn´t take a link to a third-party provider as an evidence. In my opinion Twitch should take a closer cooperation with websites like Twitchtracker to fight against the viewerbotproblem, so if someoe reports a Channel and…

  18. Dear Twitch,

I am writing to you because of something that happened to me practically now (02/02/2025 at 5.00 p.m) .
I have been botted and I would not want this to burden a hypothetical suspension of my channel, as I am not the originator of this fact
I kindly ask you to be able to find a way to stop these waves of bots sent by other streamers/gamers

Thank you very much for your cooperation.
    Heartskar/Corallini Gabriele

  19. i'm getting constantly spammed with bots that both follow me and then spam my channel point redeems! i usually use commanderroot to remove the followers, but the channel point redeem bots is new to me and it spams my chat and ruins the flow of the chat, and there's nothing i can do to stop or prevent it.

  20. There must be a way to remove the "Cheap viewers bots" from channels. They have now figured out a way to bypass chat filters blocking terms like "cheap viewers", "best viewers" etc., by using Cyrillic characters that the filters don't see. The bots also now have figured out verified chat only like verified email and phone numbers so they have skated around those settings too. Either ban those keywords sitewide or create either a wildcard option or some other way to block those terms on channels so they go away. In channels I mod for, I delete and report them…
