Sensitive social issues Bullet points need to be removed, not 'clarified'
it doesn't matter how much you 'clarify' the point of the final two bullets, they are not fit for the political category especially when contrasted with the other things in the category. Putting peoples rights in there opens up marginalized groups to hate and bigotry. We want the points REMOVED and twitch's response is completely missing the point the community has been making.
At what point does something go from 'personal experience' to 'too political'? if a streamer talks about their own right to an abortion being taken away where they live, is that personal experience or political? it is entirely subjective. Is a trans person talking about their experiences with HRT 'fact based'? Who determines this? The bigots who will undoubtedly mass report said streamers to shut them up?
"intermittent mentions of (...) sensitive social issues are not required to have the politics and sensitive social issues label" how long is intermittent? most streamers i watch like to have small conversations with chat about social issues, how long can these chats go on for?
I don't understand why you refuse to just take out the 'Sensitive social issues' point. It's what the user base is asking you to do and it is the right thing to do.

If this was a such a sensitive issue I still don't know why hasn't Clancy spoke to anyone of those so called "anti-Semitic" streamers (which mostly they are the one being bullied) privately or on stream to clear the air have a fair rule about some news subjects.
I have been on this site since JTV and this has been very out of touch with streamers and viewers and this rule has says it all.

This is such a reactionary overreach by twitch. No other social network requires users to be flagged based on their own self-identifying labels, many of which have been galvanized by certain political groups in order to harass and divide marginalized peoples. The only action that should be taken is possibly moving political content to the politics category, but to take any additional moderation on a person's existence is wrong.

This is not the way to solve issues on an online platform. Not even close.

My existence is political? That’s an outrageous stance, Twitch. As a working-class member of society who happens to be Black, I demand that you undo this disruptive policy. It may have been implemented in response to a malicious hate campaign, but that doesn’t justify this knee-jerk reaction. This policy needs to be completely rolled back and thoroughly reassessed.

Stop capitulating to hate, Twitch! Silencing marginalized voices is disgusting.

Sad to see Twitch capitulate to the hate mobs. This is becoming an extremely unsafe space for creators.

This will silence marginalized voices and is too broad and overreaching.

How is existing as a queen person sensitive or political? You're just painting a target on them for hate campaigns.

LGBTQ creators should not feel that their identity, their personhood, is "too sensitive a political issue" to be discussed without potentially facing algorithmic deranking or a CPM hit from an advertiser-filterable "Politics flag". This feels eerily similar to the impact of Florida's "don't say gay" law on LGBTQ teachers. Even if it isn't aggressively enforced, it is an implicit threat against these marginalized groups for simply existing in a public space.
Do better Twitch.

This policy is INSANE! Until this is repealed, I will not being using twitch in any capacity and I will be sharing Twitch's backwards policies with everyone so they can decide not to use it as well.

In practice, Twitch, the current mandate is essentially "we require all harassment targets to tag themselves for easy brigading".
This is incredibly terrible design, even before we get to the politics of it. Which, it shouldn't be political at all.

Why should someone's identity and human rights end where another's bigotry and fear being?
I think the writers of this need to review the OHCHR in order to better understand why this is wrong. Got to ohchr.org and review the human rights of LGBTI people.
If you still can't figure this out Twitch, then I really don't know what to say.(For those without understanding OHCHR is The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights)

Basic human rights are not debatable. We already know Twitch takes money from corporations like Chevron. It's seems like it is time to remind Twitch that the community that supports individual creators on this platform is here for the creators and the community they provide to us to gather. We are not here for Twitch itself. If Twitch decides to not take a stand in their guidelines that support its creators, we won't stay and Twitch will be forced to have the same associations as Kick. The amount of money that Twitch gave up to not have associations with illegal gambling will have been for nothing if it continues down this path. No amount of money from organizations like chevron will make up for this Grave mistake of taking away peoples basic human rights to free speech and protection against hate speech. If Twitch wants to continue to have the queer community watching it's ads or give twitch half of what is supposed to be given to our content creators your going to have to offer protection of their basic human rights. It really is the bare minimum here. If Twitch is really willing to take that chance it will only hurt themselves in the long run.

As a regular twitch user that uses this platform to sometimes learn and engage in difficult topics, I believe this identifying sensitive content (particularly in relation to LGBTQ+ issues) does harm overall to the communities having this conversation. It silo's content and places a sensitivity warning purely on the existence of a group of people already receiving an outsized amount of discrimination particularly on streaming platforms. This classification undercuts the work that the platform and the communities have done to make positive spaces for those experiencing discrimination

I am writing to express my deep concern about yuor company's recent decision to flag LGBTQIA+ content as controversial. It's particularly disappointing given thaty our platform relies on the creativity and contributions of countless individuals. By labeling the experiences and identities of LGBTQIA+ people as controversial, you not only silence their voices but also perpetuate harmful stereotypes and discrimination. It's important to remember that your platform has a responsibility to foster a safe and inclusive environment for all users. This includes protecting LGBTQIA+ individuals from harassment and hate speech. By labeling their content as controversial, you inadvertently contribute to the very issues you claim to oppose. I urge you to reconsider this decision and instead prioritize the well-being and dignity of all your users, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
