Sensitive social issues Bullet points need to be removed, not 'clarified'
it doesn't matter how much you 'clarify' the point of the final two bullets, they are not fit for the political category especially when contrasted with the other things in the category. Putting peoples rights in there opens up marginalized groups to hate and bigotry. We want the points REMOVED and twitch's response is completely missing the point the community has been making.
At what point does something go from 'personal experience' to 'too political'? if a streamer talks about their own right to an abortion being taken away where they live, is that personal experience or political? it is entirely subjective. Is a trans person talking about their experiences with HRT 'fact based'? Who determines this? The bigots who will undoubtedly mass report said streamers to shut them up?
"intermittent mentions of (...) sensitive social issues are not required to have the politics and sensitive social issues label" how long is intermittent? most streamers i watch like to have small conversations with chat about social issues, how long can these chats go on for?
I don't understand why you refuse to just take out the 'Sensitive social issues' point. It's what the user base is asking you to do and it is the right thing to do.

The vagueness of the clarification still leaves this open to abuse by right wing trolls to bully and silence minorites. You need to remove the "Sensitive Social Issues" from the politics category all together.

Get rid of the bullet point! It is discriminatory. Marginalized groups are NOT political. The clarifications don't help anything. They just made things more confusing and added insult to injury. Your streamers deserve better than to feel like they aren't allowed to be and express who they are without consequences.

It's still way too vague and leaves room for innocent streamers, their guests, and communities to be affected. Us talking about and sharing our experiences and struggles with rights as people should not treated the same as someone going into detail talking about things like war crimes, the insurrection, election debates, etc.

Not only this, but ALSO by having a category for 'Politics and Sensitive Social Issues', Twitch would also be allowing hate groups to rally around streamers who openly talk about immigrants, LGBTQIA, and other vulnerable groups in derogatory manners & talk about how these groups should lose what rights they have.
Will we still able to report streamers for hate speech if they make vile, derogatory comments while using the 'Politics and Sensitive Social Issues' category? Or will such reports be ignored en masse, even if the streamer literally calls for violence against specific individuals & uses slurs as part of their "opinion"?

In case I didnt leave a comment on this one: It is not hard to simply not include vague language in your rules/tos. Simply put, dont do it. Queer rights are human rights and that is not a nuetral standpoint, this much is obvious. My lived experienced are not neutral. You do not get to both sides this and act like there is nothing wrong with labeling people for simply existing and thereby allowing you to fo whatever you want after they are labeled, such as more easily deprioritize them on your platform. You have no more good will from this and other communities so do not expect people to just act like what youre doing is ok. None of you corpos understand a thing about what it means to treat human beings with respect.

Marginalized people are constantly up against slippery slopes with policies like these. It's already a fight to defend ourselves just for existing, but one step out of line and that existence is branded "political" and controversial." I don't want to stream on a site that allows bad actors to "just ask questions" and mask hatred as neutral opinion while standing up for who we are can get us in trouble. We need a site that we know will protect us. We can't leave any room for loopholes.

Twitch (and companies in general) really needs to stop catering to whiny manbabies who need a safe space just because they can’t handle seeing us LGBTQ+ folk existing and thriving.

I'm frankly more insulted by the clarification than the original guidelines. How you thought this was somehow going to alleviate anyone's concerns is beyond me. There are those that view my advocating for my own rights, or even my own existence, as "polarizing and inflammatory." There's no sense for where you're placing the lines.
If the goal here is to make a guideline against hateful rhetoric, then say that rather than hemming and hawing around the issue and continuing to make yourselves look horrendous.

This is simply a bad policy. Enforcing it without obvious and highly controversial subjective bias will be impossible. Just chuck it and save yourselves the headache.

The "clarification" doesn't change a **** thing. Under the new "clarifications", a trans streamer could talk about their life, but would have to put a warning up to advocate for their rights. It completely prohibits non queer allies from advocating for us without jeopardizing their stream by slapping this horrible warning on it. It intentionally keeps the lines vague between what counts as our experience and what counts as political, what is intermittent mentions of politics and what is not. It's not less discriminatory because now you get to draw lines on what counts as our personal experience. It still hurts us and the people who advocate for us.

"Clarifying" doesn't stop the harm done when people in the future read that bullet point and decide to use it to bully and harass marginalized streamers over the line between lived experience politics. Quit giving us "pinky promise" cop-outs and take a stand, cowards!

Seriously, it needs to be removed. My existence isn't Polarizing, its a fact. And leaving in the bullet point but changing it a little while still leaving it vauge is giving avenues for harassment.

Twitch, I think you are actively and intentionally siding with the bigots on this. Please prove me wrong, I don't want to move.

This is forcing those who speak up for the LGBTQ+ community to mark themselves them when they cover pertinent topics and punishes those that want to give support.
