Sensitive social issues Bullet points need to be removed, not 'clarified'
it doesn't matter how much you 'clarify' the point of the final two bullets, they are not fit for the political category especially when contrasted with the other things in the category. Putting peoples rights in there opens up marginalized groups to hate and bigotry. We want the points REMOVED and twitch's response is completely missing the point the community has been making.
At what point does something go from 'personal experience' to 'too political'? if a streamer talks about their own right to an abortion being taken away where they live, is that personal experience or political? it is entirely subjective. Is a trans person talking about their experiences with HRT 'fact based'? Who determines this? The bigots who will undoubtedly mass report said streamers to shut them up?
"intermittent mentions of (...) sensitive social issues are not required to have the politics and sensitive social issues label" how long is intermittent? most streamers i watch like to have small conversations with chat about social issues, how long can these chats go on for?
I don't understand why you refuse to just take out the 'Sensitive social issues' point. It's what the user base is asking you to do and it is the right thing to do.

our existence is not political, labeling it as such is dehumanizing

This is discrimination.

Requiring LGBT streamers to label their streams is discriminatory, especially since no provision is needed for straight streamers. Do the streamers who decide to espouse homophobic or transphobic "jokes" need tags for their streams?

Since when do having LGBTQ status ever make you an political person?
What does LGBTQ have to do with politic in the first place?
Why do you at twitch make it out that being LGBTQ is an "embarrassment" and "disgrace" for all of humanity, which makes no sense to me?
There is nothing either embarrassing or even disgraceful to be a part of the LGBTQ and if I understand this post correctly this bullet points can be seen as a target against people of the LGBTQ group!!

Human beings expressing their experiences within these "issues" you speak of are not political or "sensitive" social issues! REMOVE that bullet point. Allow expression and Advocacy where it matters most!

You're only doubling down on hatred and it's pretty clear where you stand. I mean this with love as someone who enjoys streaming on the platform but you're risking boycotts and getting sued by folks who are angry. I hope you make the proper corrections and get this hatred and the people responsible out of your decision making process.

The "clarification" has only made things worse & had not addressed the grievances & fears of the community. This move sets a bad precedent for Twitch as a whole, & will lead to further abuse of the system to target LGBTQIA+ streamers. Removing the sensitive social issues bullet-point is the only true way to rectify this error.

The "clarification" only made it worse. Just remove the points.

Remove the points.
Clarification is not enough to remove the danger these points will pose in the future. You're creating a dangerous loophole. -

Remove the bullet points completely. This is such a slippery slope for suppressing marginalized voices.

People’s lives and lived experiences aren’t political issues with multiple sides. Stop giving bigots loopholes to shut down marginalized groups.

This did not need to be clarified. It needed to be removed completely. Streamers should not need to hold back from discussing their identity just because people want to remove their freedom to live the way they want to. The clarification given by Twitch only serves to introduce vague language that allows for unfair application of a new rule that can only hurt minority groups.

Time for Twitch to put it's money where it's mouth is.
The clarification of Article 7 does not do this.
Twitch can not exist in a state where it ONLY "cosmetically" supports LGBTQIA+ rights, but internally forces LGBTQIA+ people to compartmentalize themselves, making it far easier to find them for the purpose of targeted abuse and harassment, both on and off platform.
Either Twitch says it supports LGBTQIA+ people, and BACKS THAT UP WITH ACTIONS APPROPRIATE TO SUCH STATEMENTS, or it outs ITSELF as an entity that is NOT safe for LGBTQIA+ people to interact with.
If that second thing happens, say goodbye to probably half your Twitch Support staff, as well as being quite literally blackballed by the Furry fandom, which is MAJORITY composed of LGBTIQIA+ people.
It will be an exodus similar in volume to the exodus of artists from Twitter.
Don't be Twitter. Twitter is the NEGATIVE role model, they do what you SHOULD NOT do.
Point is, either Twitch supports LGBTQIA+ people and creators, or it does not.
Twitch can not hope to "have it's cake and eat it too" with an "openly inviting appearance" and then everything in the platform funnels targeted abuse, hateful conduct, and nefarious actors submitting en-masse falsified and/or bad-faith reports about LGBTQIA+ content creators who are just trying to live their life without constantly being yelled at by society for who they truly are. -

The fact that a clarification is the best you are going to do Twitch, remove this **** please, it's not a political issue, LGBTQ issues are not political, their bodies/sexualities/etc are NOT political whatsoever.

The changes to this all sound fine and good but let’s be honest, who really trusts Twitch to enforce this properly? This category existing at all opens it up to abuse by bigots who WILL use it as a weapon against LGBTQ/POC/female streamers who they think being forced to recognize the existence of is “too political” and you’re either extremely stupid or extremely naive if you think that won’t be a problem. At the end of the day they still have the power to decide what they think is too far (which again, is basically everything) and it’s hard to trust that the moderation team is up to the task of properly filtering out all the false reports this will inevitably bring about, so imo the best option is to simply not have a loophole that can be exploited to silence others so easily and completely remove that point
