Hey all,
Thank you for the patience with us on this. This has been one of the most popular ideas on UserVoice and we definitely heard your feedback.
Today we launched /announcement for mods and streamers. Announcements can be used in chat to highlight a message and are available in 4 different colors along with the channel accent color. Because this is only part of the ask of this idea we are setting this idea to partial release so the community can continue to leave feedback on this.

While we get it, people troll... I find that changing this should be subjective to the streamer not Twitch as a whole. I have been in so many channels where there has never been such outlandish trolling that it would make me as a moderator want to just ban people? Like have a chuckle at the stupidity and move on. GIVE US COLOR BACK! As a moderator I use that for information to chat. Viewers use it to emote between one another. Streamers use it so their timed messages will show up in color and BE SEEN. GIVE. BACK. COLORED. TEXT.
