Sensitive social issues Bullet points need to be removed, not 'clarified'
it doesn't matter how much you 'clarify' the point of the final two bullets, they are not fit for the political category especially when contrasted with the other things in the category. Putting peoples rights in there opens up marginalized groups to hate and bigotry. We want the points REMOVED and twitch's response is completely missing the point the community has been making.
At what point does something go from 'personal experience' to 'too political'? if a streamer talks about their own right to an abortion being taken away where they live, is that personal experience or political? it is entirely subjective. Is a trans person talking about their experiences with HRT 'fact based'? Who determines this? The bigots who will undoubtedly mass report said streamers to shut them up?
"intermittent mentions of (...) sensitive social issues are not required to have the politics and sensitive social issues label" how long is intermittent? most streamers i watch like to have small conversations with chat about social issues, how long can these chats go on for?
I don't understand why you refuse to just take out the 'Sensitive social issues' point. It's what the user base is asking you to do and it is the right thing to do.

Twitch is being greedy with this. They just don’t want to **** off the hateful people on the app that pick on marginalized communities. You shouldn’t be protecting the people who engage in harassment (which is against your TOS) of marginalized groups! Twitch is just doing this bc of the backlash from those marginalized groups, while also trying sure that they can still get away with keeping the ad revenue and subs from the hateful side of twitch. Grow a backbone.

There is no situation in which the discussion of human rights is political or sensitive. Those who would deny others basic human rights deserve to feel uncomfortable and it isn't incumbent on us to cater to their disgusting worldview.

Twitch is trying to have its cake and eat it too. The hand wringing and "clarifications" aren't enough. Marginalized groups shouldn't have to lose ad money simply for fear of being mass reported by the worst people!

Twitch is dancing around the issue because they don't want to lose a large portion of their audience, which is sad to see, I don't think we should be allowing hatred to prosper within twitch just because it makes them money.

This didn't need "clarification" at all. It needed to be removed, because again my living my life as a queer Asian woman is not a sensitive social issue, nor is it political. At what point do you consider our lived experiences political? It's a slippery slope that can lead to further harassment and attempts to silence us from bigots. You claim you care about our marginalized communities, but you don't actually listen to us and think that this is good enough. We're fighting for our human rights because again bigots in power made our identities political. They're not even hiding their brazen hate, it's full gloves off with them, and you think this response is acceptable after so many of us in our communities have told you it's not. This is us holding you accountable yet again and again you fail us.

Myself and others shouldn't be considered as sensitive issues, and topics concerning us and our lives and lived experiences shouldn't have to be censored

ALL queerness is acceptable. All queerness MUST be acceptable. If you draw a line and say that some is not, then you are perpetuating a prejudice and a bigotry. Plain and simple.

Who, exactly, will determine what a LBGTQ+ person is saying doesn't fall under 'polarizing or inflammatory'? Because bigots already think the mere existence of LGBTQ+ people is inflammatory, which is why they want us silenced. How can we talk about our own lived experiences as LGBTQ+ people without acknowledging that what happens in our lived experiences is part of a greater discussion about society and politics? Do we then get dinged for, for example, saying that the current and previous UK government is actively working to close Gender Identity Clinics? ...Because that's literally true. That makes it hard to LGBTQ+ folk to receive treatment and actively impacts OUR LIVED EXPERIENCES.

I would very much hope that the people denying the existence of trans people are those considered having a gender ideology - but that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Queer existence is not an ideology if it is thought the other way around, and claiming it is a sensitive topic is feeding into the hands of those ideologically driven to deny us our existence and lives.

Twitch can't go touting pride and lgbt positivity and then keep doing stuff like this. I agree with all points.

At what point does it count as talking about our lived experiences? My lived experience is we need more rights, better healthcare and to advocate for ourselves. There is no clarification at all at what point you will draw the line so vagueness and more confusion is what you have caused. Have the gumption to admit you were wrong and remove them instead of leaving a foot in the door for transphobes.

Clarification isn't enough when it's still too vague, removing it is the only way to fix it otherwise it'll just lead to a perpetual cycle of hate and discrimination towards anyone who is LGBTQIA+, has a disability, is a person of color or anyone that's part of any marginalized group. It gives fuel to Hateful groups and those with ill intentions. It alienates people who don't fall under what is considered normal.
Quiet giving into the bigots, they aren't worth anyone's time.
Otherwise you will lose so many people that have helped this platform grow.
Do the right thing please!

If that would be happening to any other minority, this would fill headlines by at least now, by obviously trying to appease us and not fix the actual problem.
Imagine someone would mandate a label for black people - would you do that twitch? No?- why? Ohh right because it's discrimination! 100 points for you twitch, cause discrimination is not okay!... then why tf are you trying to do this with LGBT-people? It's also discrimination -

Clarification and word salad is not what we're looking for.
Treat LGBTQIA+ people as PEOPLE, not topics that need to be censored, controlled or restrained.
We face enough systemic bigotry in day to day life, we do not need it on a platform meant to be recreational, especially if you, the platform, are profiting from our work.Remove these disgusting restrictions or the community will leave. You know how big the LGBTQIA+ community is, you loose us, you loose furries, you loose a huge demographic. Make the right choice, do not bow to bigots and hate.
