Allow everyone over 18 to opt in/out of the content warning categories
I have no issue with having content warnings if they are done well, but they are intrusive and not helpful if they are everywhere.
If I am happy to watch specific content, the alert should allow you to have an option to opt out of getting this warning again.
Or they could be added to the Twitch Notification settings panel, and allow opt in/out for each content type.

Agreeing to this. So not only do we get one warning before entering a chanel we already follow - complete nonsense if you ask me considering following a content creator is already opting in to their content and warning a viewer about said content is way too late at this point - but we also get a "funky" little popup every time we navigate into a stream thats not directed at preteens.
Its plain anoying and about as useful as not allowing children to check out a book they can legally read within a library. At 13+ (the minimum age requirement to have an account) teenagers have seen and done worse than seeing a fictional character drink or smoke (hello there standard TV channels and real life!).
If this is to be the new internet standard of "protecting children" from daily life and they make this the basis for all accounts it should go away completely after the first confirmation. I just told the side I'm okay with this kind of content, right? So why would it need to tell me the same thing over and over again?

Agreed. This should absolutely (also) be a viewer setting. Certainly channel settings should exist, but those should check to see what viewers have set as acceptable before generating a prompt - warning them a channel features content outside of their content settings and/or directing them to adjust those settings.
