Preventing exposure of personal information using fradulent copyright claims.
When appealing a muted section of a VOD due to copyright claim, we need to enter our personal information, including legal name and address. What assurance do we have from Twitch that this information is only shared with a legitimate copyright holder, if needed, for the purpose of the appeal, and that a bad actor can't make a fraudulent claim against a VOD for the purpose of farming users' personal information?
Hey there!
Thank you so much for sharing your concerns on this. I definitely know I wouldn’t want my personal information easily accessible for someone to use maliciously. When it comes to personal data submitted to Twitch via our VODs appeal process we do have protections in place to make sure that your information stays secure.
