Handle Appeals
I'm so sick of streamers getting permanently banned (indefinite suspension) after 1 thing and never getting anything back from twitch as far as an explanation or response to an appeal. I have seen people lose their passion and dream over the ridiculous moderation and support team. There is no reason people should be waiting 5 months for a response from twitch.
Just recently my fiance was banned for something that he blatantly didn't do. He was banned for BAN EVASION when he never even had an account before the one that was banned. It's absolutely ridiculous.
I continue to lose hope in Twitch as a platform every day. They take advantage of small streamers and it's disgusting.
PLEASE, stop banning people for nothing and PLEASE actually care enough to look at your appeals and support emails.

I agree. For as much as Twitch says that "We are a team" and they try to say they are supportive, the callous way they handle disciplinary actions is just brutal, uncaring and convoluted! For every guilty party punished, even more innocents are punished! I know this for FACT from personal experience!
My experience involved 2 accounts both being paid for with the same paypal and to the best of my knowledge, this was the cause. Throughout the process, communication was minimal with Twitch and unhelpful to an extreme, even self rightious on the link to appeal from since it was stated on that page that "guilty parties often express remorse for wrongdoing". So if you are having to appeal, Twitch is automatically proclaiming that they were perfect in their judgement and had no need to communicate with you about it and that you are a bad person who deserved this and need to apologize to them! After the appeal was approved, no apologies came.
During the punishment, I wasn't the only one who was punished in the scenario: I was innocent of the 'suspected fraud' which could have easily been cleared by just sending an email to one account to clarify is the charge were legit... you know, like an actual financial institution would do. But streamers that I was subscribed to have their subscription numbers fall since I had my sub and several gift subs revoked. Those people who were gifted subs suddenly no longer had subs as well. And I couldn't tell anyone about this because Twitch wouldn't allow me to message these streamers or even see their content without making a new account, which would be ban evasion. Even the other account that shared payment info was banned! This lasted almost a WEEK. As a new streamer, this was HORRIFYING to go through! And I wasn't at fault for any of it... only thing I was guilty of was being too poor to afford multiple forms of payment! And again, this was something that could've been avoided with a single, simple email.
If we're in this together Twitch, you have to ACT like we're in this together! Acting like the 'PC Principle' character from South Park with you as the principle and us as the students is not being on the same team!

twitch needs competition to care, when platform's livelihood is threatened they'll start to do something about their bs, but then it'll be too late

My main account was permanently banned out of nowhere a couple weeks ago. I was given almost no information except "Botted or Automated Account" which makes no sense as I streamed on that account for a few years and was affiliate. I have not been able to get any support from Twitch. It's genuinely disheartening and hurtful that I have not been able to get this fixed. I worked too ******* my account for all my work, VODs, clips, etc to just disappear for something I did not even do. :(
